Chris Rempel's - Conduit Method

Hey guys,

I've been reading some about Chris Rempel's Conduit method of setting up affiliate sites.

I know this came out like 3 or 4 year ago.

Are any of you using this method and does it still work in today's world of Google Panda updates?

My other big question is, is there a WP template or examples out there for how these sites are supposed to be setup?
I don't think he gives any templates in the original report?

    I may be wrong, but from what I remember, the idea was to be a 'conduit' for searchers looking to purchase things by aggregating reviews and customer comments found elsewhere, and adding affiliate links.

    If it's as I recall, these are by definition "thin affiliate sites", and wouldn't work well in the post-Panda world.

      What you are describing appears to be a huge concern from the viewpoint of how the G Panda updates have had an affect on today's SERP rankings.

      Historically, I have stuck to high quality, original content with a decent number of images for my current Amazon review sites. With a good amount of backlinking they do rank well and make sales.

      I was concerned the "wordiness" of the sites might turn readers off. And wondered if the thinner content of a conduit site might still work.

      It appears I am better sticking with my current strategy!

    It's only $15 and he's the first hit when you google.

    This is basically setting up a review site and yeah, I've got one ClickBank blog that does a very lengthy review of a high ticket item and it is now getting me a few hundred per month (I explain how in the Mind Warriors Forum in a thread).

    But don't worry about Panda. You can still rank affiliate review sites to the top in spite of Panda.

    In some cases it's actually easier to get ranked.

    - Write a very long article for your review and write long articles for all your blog posts. Embed them with video where possible - you want people to stick around on your site for as long as possible.

    - Vary your links - social, high PR blog comment, Web 2.0, press releases etc., publish to EZA and hope for syndication

    - Be patient - it takes weeks to get your rankings where you want them to be.

    I've done link campaigns on my money site and seen changes 2 weeks later.

      William.....you mention the types of links.

      I tell you what guys....I don't know about you. But I've been able to build these physical product review sites with 600 - 800 word reviews.
      Content is unique and on some pages I include images and videos and on others just the images.

      As far as backlinks, all I do are:
      • Social backlinks (social media)
      • BMR posts
      • private blog network posts with contextual anchor text
      • high PR blog comments with contextual anchor text in the comments
      And have got several sites at #1 or are bouncing around still but hit #1 at some point. Just from using those types of backlinks and that's it.


      Nothing to article directories, nothing to Web 2.0 (Tumblr, Hubpages, etc.), no profile backlinks, no press releases, no forum signatures, nothing.


      Some of my pages are at #1 are for some pretty tough keywords. I stay away from the article directories and Web 2.0 sites as I firmly believe
      Google sees them as content farms now and those links are devalued.


      Have started to hedge a bit higher on the social links now and seeing very positive results from that.


      Going to keep moving forward with this sort of strategy and see where it takes me. But if those are the only backlinks I need to rank at #1 then won't waste my time or $ with the other backlink types from the past that I feel don't work as well anymore.

    I wish I could go back in time and follow that plan - i would have a massive niche site filled with hundreds of product specific key word reviews. It would be incredibly easy to just add fresh content to old posts (reviews), add some fresh content in general, add some social integration and the site could easily be seen as an authority site!

    I remember I got this years ago. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as thorough as I like, either. I'm very detail-oriented, so it was just okay. There are better programs out there today, in my opinion. In terms of the methodology of building niches sites and what not, it totally still works. It's about unique, quality content and laying the proper foundation. I recommend you check out Unstoppable Affiliate by Andrew Hansen and Josh Stanton.
