Default Chris Farrell or IMA Internet Marketing Advantage

Last January, I started looking into Internet Marketing. I quickly put up a wordpress site with a banner, and happen to make a few hundred dollars, while really knowing nothing.

I have studied some on SEO, PPC, writing good copy, been studying Html and word press, but I cant seem to bring all the various items into view as a whole. I can't connect the dots between all the components. I am considered to have above average intelligence by my peers, but i think that might not be a good thing, I over analyze everything. The paralysis of analysis.

I have looked at Chris Farrell's site and also IMA, both seem to be pretty comprehensive. I hear a lot of good things about both. What I rarely see is somebody that goes on to tell the story of starting at one of these membership sites and actually tell how it helped them to build a successful money making business.

I would like to hear from any students of either program that thought it was valuable training and that were actually able to put what they learned into action and start making decent money.

What site is most comprehensive? If there was a Internet Marketing University that helped a newbie you to see the whole outline and big picture of what IM is, which one of these sites would best fit that description?

I'm willing to put in the hard work, willing to take action, which program would be best for guiding someone. I guess I'm looking for a framework to build from. Comments, suggestions?

I had access The Chis Farrell's "Chris Mentor Me" program and I thought it was one of the best memberships for anyone starting out to make money online.

However it was $1000 and it's not on sale anymore, but I do like his teaching style.

Can't comment on the other program as I've never seen it.

Just a heads-up here that the Chris Farrell Membership site is undergoing a revamp and re-launch in March 2012 as it is updating the training and adding more benefits and products for members to use.

It goes to show how quickly IM moves on, and a lot methods which were relevant and money-making just 2 years ago are now being superseded.

I'm glad the site will be keeping at the leading edge of IM. But reading between the lines, I wonder if the price will stay the same or go up? Might it be worth someone who is not yet a member enrolling before the relaunch to tie in at the current price?

Kind Regards
Alison

You can't go wrong with either one - Chris is a great teacher and his membership site is well suited for learning in a step by step format. IMA is run by Steve Clayton and is a mix of software tools and training - they have several great courses within the membership (updated version of Commission Blueprint is a step by step training to build affiliate sites - just one example).

I suffer from over-analyze paralysis too - so my best advice is pick ONE, turn off all the other incoming noise (buy this, wso of the day, super duper push button software, etc.) and learn. Success leaves a path - follow it!!

I have tons more failures than successes because I kept jumping on the new shiny ball syndrome. Just 2 months ago I focused 100% on a new website, followed a blue print exactly and as of today, the site is gaining momentum, many keywords already top 20 and rising - i finally signed up for aweber, created a special report and beginning to build a list. Hopefully I will create a winner and the confidence to know I can duplicate it again and again!!

Good luck!

Just curious about Chris Farrells course "Chris Mentor Me" program, does it teach SEO or Paid traffic as the traffic source?

I was a member of Chris Farrell's membership.

He has a very good teaching style and teaches the basics of getting a site up and running etc BUT the thing I found severely lacking was the traffic generation part. All the old, and largely now useless methods are covered. Some might work if you could produce 1,000 articles per day but otherwise I don't buy it.

Chris is very successful BUT the traffic generation part of the site made me quit my membership as it just wasn't good enough and I don't believe that anyone can get serious results following the methods described.

That said, if Chris were to update this with fully worked examples of traffic generation for 2012 I would be tempted to rejoin.

I am a member of Chris Farrell Membership and have been for a few months. A lot of content in the site i have found it very helpful and Chris's teaching style fantastic. Have i made any money yet i hear you asking not as much as i would like. I think the main problem is me and not the content in the site. And i am starting to see it now i am the tipe of person that wants everything perfect before i get the site up where as what i should be doing is getting stuck in and putting up sites and fix them as i go will be back on this thread in 1 to 2 months to update on how I'm doing with my new mind set.

...totally agree with this..traffic section ( which after all is fairly important if you want income) was a total let-down & most of the other CMM bits were mostly available on his membership site anyway....Mentor Me was a hefty price for an un-doable 'make money in 3 wks guarantee'..for that to stand up he would have to tip shedloads of buyer traffic into your lap,so kinda disappointed he would make such claims as always regarded him as one of the more genuine and trusted IM teachers,so I too cancelled membership and his latest exploit '50,0000(or some such figure) Facebook fans in a month' is now falling on deaf ears...that said his teaching methods will penetrate even the numbest brain!
Happy New 2012 Year..whatever the Mayans prediction turns out to be !!
