All those sites frown on Spamming - which is basically what you guys want to do. A short-term gain, if any, is what you'll get. I'd say put your energy elsewhere. Autoposters are mostly ineffective with Craigslist these days - unless you stay very up-to-date with how to work-around the measures put there to stop spammers like YOU. |

All the big guns in auto posting, Admaster etc are effectively dead now. CL sued them all to the point they simply shut down. Macro based solutions are one of the only available options now or invest heavily in your own bespoke solutions which incorporate IP switching, proxies, captua etc. |

Simon has it right. I wouldn't pay for a tool right now. Even IF it would work right now, in two weeks there will be issues due to CL dilligence in getting the autoposters off their site. Simon's suggestion is spot on if you want to do it yourself.

I found a good Warrior thread on a method to save you some time posting with Craigslist. I wouldn't mess with autoposters for Craigslist, but some of these techniques will at least save you time posting legitimately. How I Successfully Post On Craigslist Also, is Backpage or Kijiji as strict as Craigslist? I've heard they are more lax about posting to multiple cities, but I really haven't tried yet. Anyone have better luck with Backpage recently or care to share some tips? |

In my experience it's real easy to get banned from BackPage. I used to bulk post to CL using a macro system - should still work today but it requires ongoing tweaking as well...and that was before the phone verification stuff. I was running job ads for outsource employees. In the end it was just easier, faster, and produced more results to just pay $50 to run a job ad in New York or Los Angeles - it would take 5 minutes and produced a flood of inquiries every time. |

this kind of software kills good sites like craigslist. Go do adwords and live legitimate sites like cragslist alone

Hi Adservant: Craigslist has very good tracking ability. Not only would you have to deal with the possibility of the "spam" department but there are a bunch of people that seem to do nothing with their time but go through every bit of space on Craigslist to see if people try to post multiple times about the same thing in the same city or even several out of state. Be careful not to win in the short run but lose out in the long. Have a fantastic day! |

There's a war between Craigslist and the auto-posting/tools companies, and Craigslist won the last battle. Their lawyers threatened lawsuits and many good tools went away. One of the best was Easy Auto Poster, which no longer works. There are new tools popping up that do the same thing, but I won't mention them here, as the link will show up in Google tomorrow and probably get them shut down. After years of posting on CL, I've decided the best way to use it is as a lead-generating tool, staying under the radar. Respect the fact that the site wants to be a local classified site, write your ads accordingly, and you could build a list pretty quickly. DON'T plaster the site with 100 ads promoting the same affiliate offer in every city. You won't get much response and your ads will come down as quickly as you can put them up... if they get up at all (Craigslist has gotten more sophisticated about filtering out those kinds of ads). Bottom line: auto-posters are still out there, but like any other tool, they can be used smartly... or stupidly. |

the Craigslist autoposter I have is AdMaster or LivingEasySoftware. It can post multiple ads for you at once. The thing about Craigslist is that it changes everyday so one day all your ads go up. Next none will ever been shown. At one point in time I was using this poster to get over 200 leads a day. So it does work if you are willing to put in the time and effort to get around Craigslist rules and ways to keep you off basically lol. Just do a Google Search on Living Easy Software. This is the best Craigslist poster. |

Stay away from Craigslist. My first year as an IM'er was all about showing people how to promote products on Craigslist and how to manipulate it so that you could get around their security measures. But... it's just not worth it anymore. If you keep trying to post on Craigslist, you're simply wasting your time. My $0.02 |

At one time doing autopost on craigslist worked but not anymore. It actually makes the site better for it intended purpose. Move on to greener fields. Chris |

CL just like any other method is just that- a method. Without a system that takes you through the entire process of marketing and advertising, you will be held hostage by that one method, no matter what it is, be it CL, PPC, Solo Ads, etc. Forget the companies... Forget the programs... And REALLY forget the 'activities'! GET A SYSTEM THAT PRODUCES RESULTS! |

I have Ad Master and I can't get it to open. I tried their website, but it isn't there. I can't find them anywhere. Do you know where I can send them an email. And are you still using ad master? Is it working? Thanks Kat |

I would suggest not to resort to any software tool for such postings. These softwares in the market definitely try to spam the sites and would not do anything worthwhile. A lot many tools do just nothing and we keep waiting for the results!

I wanted to try the demo first because other forums say bot doesn't work and some say it does. The problem is after installing the software, it says error- could not load file or assembly- what is my problem, I'm certainly not going to buy it if I can't use it?

| I've put posts on backpage with very little success. A post on craigslist that will get you 30 responses might get you one from backpage. I also have been recently being spammed a lot from craigslist users who can reply to my ad via email, they just reply with some silly offer on how I can make a million dollars in one month just by brushing my teeth, anyhow, I think they will eventually have to change howw people reply to ads too somehow. Not sure how they could do it though.

Yes, you better off doing it manually or outsource it. Kijiji canada is pretty good. Backpage is also good.

for those of you who have posted on CL, do you have advice for what types of ads work there? what types of products? Is it effective to generate list optins vs. trying to do a direct affiliate sale?

limit per day, it's not the quantity of posts CL cares about it's' the quality. There's nothing, as far as I know to stop you posting into every city there as long as what you're selling or buying is legit.

CL has limits based on account, IP and perhaps category. You can get around these by setting up multiple phone verified accounts and posting from multiple IP addresses, preferably private proxies. In my experience, CL works best as a lead generator for physical products, especially the things that are popular, like furniture and electronics/computers. |

You can set up multiple CL accounts with different emails, phone #''s but it's a pain. Your posts will be limited by CL if they are the same or even similar, even in different cities.

You mentioned that it's best to post on CL with IPs local to the city you're posting in. I've heard this advice other places as well, but I'm not sure how to do this. I use my Blackberry as a modem to get a new IP each time I post, but the IPs are always local to my state. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Quote:

Your choice to posting manual or with software, but I suggest manual, avoiding that you're a spam.
