Default Confused on Best way to Deliver Video Content

I've been researching the wide range of things out there for delivering video, and am getting nothing but confused.

I've got a membership site where I deliver online video trainings, and am trying to determine the best setup to use. So many opinions, so many options.

- Flowplayer does streaming, but looking at their documentation on setup, everything requires some service to optimize or host your videos on or uses some flowplayer plugin that cost hundreds of dollars.

- JW Player

- Vid*ly player

- RTMP streaming player

- Vimeo Pro - Expensive

Argh! The list goes on. I have Amazon S3.

What is the best more efficient way to run videos, what is the best player? I know, some will say the best is a personal preference, but there are solutions that are easy to use, powerful, and deliver content in the best way.

Appreciate everyone's input. Trying to get this setup the best way possible.

Thank you!

Todd

Hi Todd

Have you considered:

-Hosting the video files in Youtube as "unlisted" and using Flowplayer or JW player?

-Open Standard Media (OSM) Player (just google for osm player)? Although this is originally designed for Drupal, they have a stand alone version of it which seems very promising (I am testing it).

As for myself, I am in the process of creating a video content membership site and I am still in the planning phase of this site. PM-me if you are interested.

Hi Todd
if you have amazon s3 then the simplest way of doing this is with wordpress and use a free flowplayer plugin. Use the shorrt code provided and then insert the url from amazons3.
Look at www.willsforadvisers.co.uk The video is hosted on amazon and it uses a light box plug (this one is a paid version) but you can just use a free flowplayer plugin
NB this site is still under construction so its not finished.
Cheers
Mark

Hey TanB, I host unlisted videos on Youtube but how do I embed them in to the membership website using Flowplayer? Thanks a bunch, I've been looking every where for someone with this info!
