I would tend to agree. Starts @ $34 final exit drops to $24 so yes someone is out to fleece the "magic beans" seekers.

My curiousity got the best of me on Commission Breakthrough, so I broke down and got it. The methodolody behind it is based on one that I had never even considered or have seen being talked about, which surprised me given how long I've been doing this. There are like 3 up-sells, but I just stuck with the main product.

Thanks Joey for taking a punt on it. Could you go into more detail what it's all about.

It's about creating websites called "feeder" sites and posting links to your sites on Wikipedia. The first software shows you whether a particular niche gets traffic, how many editors the page has and how long your link should stay up. The upsell gives you working templates for your feeder site and the final upsell shows you whether your link i still up or has been taken down.

The product is pure garbage and i want to know, how do you get a refund by contacting Clickbank? i have a feeling that the owner of the product would just ignore me and go through with giving me a refund.

For anyone who is think of buying this product, don't!
How to get a refund on a Clickbank product:
go to clickbank.com. (You don't have to log in).
On the very top line in small, feint print there are a few clickable titles. Click the one that says Order Help
When the form appears, enter the transaction (order) no. and the email address you purchased with (or PayPal transaction ID or last 4 digits of credit card if used)

You'll be taken to another page. I can't remember exactly, but if you read it carefully, somewhere on the left hand side (I think) there is something there about problem with your order. Anyhow, you'll work it out when you get to the page, I'm sure.

Perhaps some other Warrior could give better instructions!?
          Cheers!

          earningbaranaba,
You have a link in your CB receipt email. The text says: If you need additional customer service ClickBank will be happy to assist you.
To make a customer service inquiry with regard to this purchase, please visit:
          http://clickbank.com/cs/thiswillbeyourinfo
As sharpmar was trying to recall - you click on "get support" where the funny little guy and question mark is on the left. There they Will ask you what the problem was.
          -OR-
Simply forward your receipt email to refunds@clickbank.com with a short explanation.
Just be honest - maybe the more CB knows the better off we'll all be? Ha!

(Talk about not paying attention. I see that my reply was with plenty of others.)

I purchased this product without the upsells. As I progressed along the "what the heck is this?road," I realised that I had purchased an identical product a couple of years ago, so I requested a refund.
Next day I received an email from Commission Breakthrough informing me that "Bruce" said that, "this lady can have the product for free". But (here's the catch) I had to cancel my refund request from Clickbank!! Duh?
No surprise that I chose to proceed with the refund.

                RE: Refunds - some perspective.

As a product creator... HOW a customer requests a refund REALLY MATTERS.

If the customer goes directly through CB or PayPal... those merchant processors record the request and given enough requests, they may take negative action toward the account... (suspension, deletion, hold funds, etc.)

*Product creators ALWAYS prefer you request refunds through help desk, or cust support: DIRECTLY from the vendor or afffiliate responsible for the sale.

With that said, it is usually easier to get the refund straight from the merchant processor (CB/PP etc) because all too often the vendor or affiliate do not process refunds in a timely manner (or at all).

                Just sharing

I guess everyones buying because of the sales video.. I bought my copy because of that..i always buy my copy 1st before promoting to my list.. and the thing why we dont see a high refund rate is simply because many of us just dont ask for a refund.. most of us simply just ignore that.. well just my 2 cents.. cheers buddy..

The high gravity could be from a mix of two things:

                1) If you have been around the block, so to say, then of course a salesvideo like this has little sway over you... BUT... products like these are carefully crafted with just the right emotional triggers that practically force the untrained person to buy or lose out.

                2) Did you read my post about the contest? -- Just imagine the amount of people this offer has been sent to. Seriously, it is a volume thing. With a contest like that, you can guarantee that this offer has dispersed far and wide. More effort to "sell" results in more "sales" results in a high Gravity.

                > The few of us who did a little digging in an effort to uncover the validity of the offer are definitely in the minority... people are suckers for the pie in the sky dream.

This could mean that Top notch affiliates would prefer selling some of such Clickbank products than promoting CPA offers ?

                  Going further on this:
                  Just wondering:
-How come customers are happy with the product and not asking for refunds ?
-Don't the daily prizes offered by the vendor face risk of refunds ?
-Is the vendor really paying $ 1000 daily to top selling affiliates ?
-Whatever be the vendor's sales and promotion tactics, customers could veto their right to refund.
What I mean to say here is, there should be something good in the product that
the vendor is confident he would not face refunds ?!!?

Thanks for all the comments....I bought it, then didn't receive the member area and no-one replied to my emails. Today, finally I am into the member area. But, whilst $34 is ok, to spend, the $298 that the hosting company want from me, so that they can set me up with yet another domain, isn't. That's too much to lose (again). So I will be asking for a refund

I have not purchased this, so I do not have an insider review to share...
BUT: I can tell you this:

It is a Clickbank product (you probably knew that) which means:
Time to do a little RESEARCH! -Yeah RESEARCH...

1st] Go to Clickbank Marketplace and find the product.
--> In this case "commisionbreakthrough" (one word)

2nd] Go to their JV page & check out the PROMO side of the offer
--> You can learn a lot about a product on the JV page.

**ALWAYS do this for a CB promo! ALWAYS.

OK here are some juicy details:
          ->Average $ per sale (for JV) = 52.17$
          ->Gravity score of 167.34
-> 75% commissions with an epc of $9.23
-> JV CONTEST= 1st prize 2005 Bentley Continental GT & daily prizes of 1000$ CASH
-> Contest lasts for about a month (till late February) so I suspect the whole 'scarcity' aspect is a hoax...
-> "preview" of what is inside the members area (a quick runthrough of the 5 steps) --- No secrets revealed.
-> Of course all the swipes and banners & usual promo stuff
          -> Offer + OTO upsell/downsell sequence:
          Main= 34$ ->down 24$ -> down 'free report' with opt-in
          OTO 1= 97$ ->down 47$
          OTO 2= 197$
          OTO 3= 97$

So that is what I learned from the backside...
*expect to see this in your inbox many many times from many a promoter!

Here is what I learned from the reviews above:

-> "They are very anxious to get us to host with BrainHost." = they set up a webpage (probably a squeezepage) utilizing the "my creative designes" = a brainhost lead-in.
****I use Brainhost and LOVE their service (hint: they offer an upsell of LIFETIME UNLIMITED for $200)
-> "Wikipedia Links" .... I'm not sure if I believe this strategy is viable...
-> "The upsell gives you working templates for your feeder site and the final upsell shows you whether your link i still up or has been taken down."
** The OTO prices seem a little too, umm, 'pricey' if that is all they do - just my thoughts.

Well, I will keep an eye on this thread to see if anyone can reveal anything more... apparently we have about a month to decide!

          Tryin' to be helpful,

              you see:

              mycreativesdesigns
As a product creator, you can sign up with them.
You simply build a template (or few), then they have them at the ready over at MyCreativeDesigns for your product purchasers (customers) to get a "free" website when they sign up for hosting which is provided by Brainhost! --see how it works... depending on your POV it is either a great or it isn't... the point here is that many many many product creators utilize this to entice you or reward you with a done-for-you website perfect for accomplishing whatever they are teaching you how to do (squeezepage/blog/video site...etc) and then they earn a commission from your hosting purchase! -!

You can go to mycreativedesigns and check out their service.

And just to let you know 'earningbaranaba' once you initiate the refund process with Clickbank you will get your money back, Clickbank will make sure of that. The vendor may try and avoid it at first, but if you stick to wanting your money back - don't accept anything less - you will get it.

Thanks again! Trying Commission Junction is OUT OF THE QUESTION for me and will probably get dropped from TPBB as well when the team investigates this. As for the product here, it won't surprise me to see it being offered as a bonus to the next shiny thing!
Daniel- Perhaps it's a persistent typo, but otherwise just want to point out that the CPA network "Commission Junction" is totally different from and unrelated to the Clickbank product "Commission Breakthrough" which is not coming up smelling like roses today.

CJ is a well established and pretty well respected organization.

I took the plunge with this one and BOY am I sorry for that. Got access to the vids and watched a demo. Not impressed. Clicked the link to access the online software, typed in a search term as instructed and . . . . . . . . . NOTHING!!!!! It returned no results. I tried various keywords with no response from the software at all. I finally typed in the same exact keywords used in the demo video. Again, nothing. I finally got fed up and disgusted and requested a refund from Clickbank. Total waste of time!

earningbaranaba in Post#17 asked how to get a refund directly from Clickbank.

The easiest way I found was simply to email refunds@clickbank.com include your receipt and a reason for asking for the refund.

This way you don't have to go searching for a link ... and it works!

I recieved an email with an ad for this today. Needless to say I marked the email as spam before i got even 2 minutes through the video.

Take this as a lesson people. DO NOT BURN YOUR LIST on useless crap like this.
you work hard to build your list but if you email people garbage like this, your list will shrink faster than you can blink.

      Just a heads up

I got this today from a marketer I have a lot of time for. Then did a search on it after watching a bit of the video and arrived here. Glad I did, thanks for the info. Just saved $24.

While there I wrote a little bookmarklet to amuse myself that might identify if a page will offer a discount. It searches the source code for the commonly used exitPop message. Just visit this link:

        Discount Bookmarklet

Then select it when you're on a sales page.

Naturally you could just view the source code and search for the exitPop code (usually at the bottom) or leave the page and see if you're offered a discount , but if it's a video presentation it'll go back to the start if you return to the page.

        Anyway, hope it helps.

I am so glad everone on this thread thinks Commission Breakthrough doesn't work and are serial refunders. Just more niches for me to take over and put my links on. Many of you forget the whole idea is to avoid those saturated niches. Thats why your links get taken down. The software helps you do the research first. I can tell you that my link is still up and yet to be taken down on wikipedia. Thats because I have it posted on a non saturated niche which I will not reveal. The fact that this product focuses on wikipedia traffic is innovative for me. Its all explained in members area software in action here:

This software is a must if you want to exploit wikipedia traffic.

Not so sure that this is helpful, though your point is noted. I would think that the creators of the software would be helpful enough to share that information with buyers! If the makers of know that there are specific niches that work, they have a responsibility to share that information with all buyers. One more strike against them!

A quick "heads up" for ClickBank. I never buy anything not sold via ClickBank, as they always give me an instant refund if I'm not happy with a product. Thanks CB.
I bought Commission Breakthrough along with all the OTOs and the total came to £265.23 and, in my humble opinion, I don't think it's worth the 23p!

Hi everyone, i am very new to all of this although I do sell some of my products on line, i am still learning. But one thing has struck me since i have been looking at warrior forum and now starting to get these emails from people promising instant wealth.
Why is it that we some how think these products are actually true when the guy doing the voice over says things like. "I don't need to sell this cause im a millionaire anyway but I want to help YOU" Why would someone who is wealthy be 1. voicing over their own product, why would they bother, 2 . take all the effort to make a product like this and sell it for 47.00 3 .. be giving away this strategy.
Seems obvious to me that the bulk of this stuff is rubbish and that there are only a few of you actually selling good reliable products.
    Anyway that's my lot.

This is why I love this forum. I got a message in my inbox on youtube with a link to this video. I decided to check it out and it sounded ok so I checked out the website. Then came the video which pissed me off. But I decided to listen to see if this thing actually works until I got tired and just left it playing and did my work. Then when I saw the price I decided to investigate. So in google i typed "Commission breakthrough warrior forum" and ended up here and thanks to you guys I am going to save $34

PS, if you didnt know already, most products are priced below $30 because most people think that "thats not much so i will take a punt" type attitude. Product owners know this and so they make their money by volume sales.

I used to think long sales letters were bad, but these videos...who writes these scripts??

Anyway, Hollis Carter & Marc Horne sent me an email for Commission Breakthrough yesterday. Because of the subject line: "Misleading sales funnels..." I thought it was just one of those occasional guru emails where they're just impressing us with their integrity - and thoughts - that they just had to get off their chests about the ethics of marketing.

The main reason I thought that was because they just had their launch/webinar(s) last week for their almost $500 'Daily Deal Builder' program that I considered buying, and didn't.

In my mind, well, I didn't even consider that it would be a promotional email.

Here's the rest of the short email:
      -----
If you've EVER been mislead by a sales pitch,
This is a must watch video:

      >>link to Commission Breakthrough<<

      Shocking stuff...

      Make moves today,
      Hollis Carter & Marc Horne

PS - I shot you a quick YouTube video that
talks about this. You can check that out
      here:

      http://youtu.bexxxxxxxx
      -------
      (It's Marc in the video)

Yes, shocking stuff Hollis & Marc...

So, check out today's date. Was this a new exposure to the product or just an example of digging for something to promote? Really appreciate all the feedback about Commission Breakthrough.

(You know, a simple forwarding of your Clickbank email receipt to: refunds @ clickbank. com with a short blurb of your "why" gets the job done. However, if you were being charged monthly they only refund for one month. That's how they did it with me anyway.)

Speaking of refunds - I asked for my one and only WSO refund within my 30-day period a while ago. I went to the product owner's support email and thought that would be the end of it. (There was nothing really wrong with the product - I just got tired of waiting for the content that was supposed to be in there. The owner replied with salt telling me that he was uploading all kinds of stuff that day - too late and that he was contacting the affiliate.
It dawned on me after some time that I hadn't heard from PayPal. I re-emailed the owner and he just said that the aff had apparently broken the rules - that I would have to contact PayPal. I've had no reply from the aff either through PayPal or even a "personal" email I sent to him. PayPal's terms say that you can escalate your claim but I think they will ignore me since, if I recall, I put my claim in later than their 45 day policy because of all the time that passed when I thought there was no problem.
Just $37, but $37 is $37... Bugs me!
If someone thinks I shouldn't have griped about this here, I apologize. Clickbank just brought it to mind and frankly, I don't really know where else would have been better.

Poor, poor “Bruce Kelly.” It’s in the fine print, but one of the more interesting things about Commission Breakthrough’s promotional materials is the revelation that Bruce is a pseudonym, used for the man’s protection. So why does an internet marketer …

Mmmm, the article only mentions that it's good for beginners, is software and doesn't use Facebook, Google, PPC, etc. Hardly "what it's all about." Especially after reading this post.

It's also full of affiliate links to the product and has disabled the rightmouse to protect copyright (wtf? I never understand that). Review sites like these appear to emulate the products they promote.

    Purchased - trialled - support.
Yes the presales video is mindnumbingly tedious.

Product works on the principle of the "secret - untapped" wiki links..

The secret software lets you trawl the keywords you choose (so no easy task just keep entering till you get the "great mix")

Basically in essence:- you setup info type pages with embedded sales links - put your link on a wiki page - hope it does not get discovered and removed - and wait for all the traffic to flow effortlessly to your new site. Where folks seeking information will click and buy products.

Reality. Wiki is an online encyclopedia - but some hope to black hat sales out of it.
result - Highly unlikely as they are policed by everyday people seeking to keep it an information site. wiki links are NO FOLLOW...
So the theory that folks seeking actual information will click on the link and go to your page .. Highly unlikley..

Upsells include a "secret" area that hides you behind proxies...
Now while there are legitimate reasons to use proxies in the online world. This system is not one of them..
You need to use proxies or your IP will be BANNED...

High push for BrainHost domain - clearly the needed upsell and ongoing return.

Every Support response regardless of its question returned a.
OPTION 1: By signing up with BrainHost, they are going to build your site for you. The cost of hosting will depend on the package that you will choose
    Response of varied wording.....

No support questions were actually answered they appeared to be given by live agents but were canned answers directing you to another area to get help (more mind numbing videos) or the add on or other service..

Yes I did go through them
Yes I did ask for a refund
Yes I did even try the idea
Result - ZERO hits to the page (yes I track everything)

granted it has been only 5 days
But as the video says - so easy..
The likelihood of wiki links gaining you anything is very very low...
Except maybe a banned IP (tongue in cheek)

You beat me to it pribs! Was thinking I might start my own similar blog, but as usual am too busy.

Honestly I got this email today from a fellow warrior stating "I never send affiliate links to my list" blah blah blah. How can you take them seriously when none of them dare show their faces here on this thread.

Originally Posted by pribs View Post

I wrote a detailed review about it yesterday and since I respect this community greatly and don't want to shamelessly self-promote by posting the 1,000 word review, I'll only post my final conclusion and a link to the full post if you're interested.

The full review can be found on my website here if you want every detail (there are a lot) and contains absolutely 0 affiliate links back to the product. Since I know the product is horrible, I didn't see the point in including an affiliate link. Here is the conclusion from my blog:

      -----------------
      The Final Verdict
Should you purchase Commission Breakthrough by Bruce Kelly? I answer that question with a resounding "NO!" You should run for the hills if you ever see Bruce Kelly's name on any other product in this industry. As a matter of fact, if you know anybody named Bruce Kelly, you should probably punch them in the face in one final, desperate attempt to balance the universe.

This product was so bad. There was no new information, the creator of this product hardly knew what he was doing as he taught the lessons, and he never fulfills the promises he makes on the sales page. He just attempts to make another dime off of you at every turn, along the way giving you horrible directions that you could never make money with.

Anyone with a half-developed knowledge of affiliate marketing or internet marketing would know the methods taught within this program will never make money in this industry. Don't buy it. If you've bought the Commission Breakthrough program within the past 60 days and are now reading this review, get a refund from Clickbank.
      -----------------

I know it seems a little extreme and I hope the humor comes through even though posting it here takes it out of context, but the program really is over-hyped and not a single promise Bruce Kelly makes is fulfilled in the program. He contradicts himself and tries to make money off of you in every corner of the program. I've seen a lot of products and made a living in this industry for several years, but this is one of the worst I've ever purchased. Like I said, I give a ton of detail on my blog about this product if you're interested, but the information from this post should be enough to let you know not to buy.

Best of luck to you and I hope this helped,
      Ian
