Which article writing service are you using?

I am looking for a cost effective article writing service with a relatively quick turnaround time and that is reliable. I guess it's down to your answers to help me choose one. I've tested a few so far and only one I like but the turnaround time is slow. Input below... Cheers.

Edit: I do not want to use services such as oDesk, takes too long weeding through the writers to find a good one. Also I prefer the direct communication with a company and a website and a system in place.

    Hey Intrepreneur,

I use 'Content Authority' and they are great and fast.

Chose the 'excellent' setting which is $6 an article.

Good quality and 1-2 day turn around.

    Hope this helps.

I've had good luck and fast turnaround with TextBroker.

The last article I got in less than 2 hours from start to delivery.

Do your articles need to be 100% unique? If so — yes, outsourcers are the way.

    Consider this:

If you only need articles for backlinks however, you can get away with 30-40% uniqueness and that's easy to obtain from ArticleBuilder + a spinner, and nested spinning. In fact, I can take 3 PLR articles, spin them, nested spin them and get 47% unique content (that gets indexed) and it takes me about 3 minutes to create per 500-700 word article.

I've tried thecontentauthority.com and found their work to be decent. However, I do wonder why you're specifically focused on working with a "company" instead of working directly with a writer from here or elsewhere. Paying a company, which then turns around and pays one of its writers only a portion of that money while keeping a profit for itself, means that you're involving a middleman when you don't necessarily have to.

Hey studio13, if you could post the screen flow, I would sure appreciate it.

I'm looking for a writer myself for financial topics. I've searched on Odesk and interviewed some writers and about to order some test articles at $10 each for about 400-500 words. I'll post back my results. I think the key to this is going to be your topic. If it's generalized info, I think most will find a writer from Odesk pretty easily but lets say my topic is loan modification and I need 5 new (not respun) articles a week and specific and detailed subtopics. Well I'm going to have a problem finding a good writer that's going to produce good and consistent rsults.

QUESTION: how about going to a site like articlesbase.com and finding topics and having a VA manually rewrite the article and topic? Great source of good/decent articles that can be redone by cheaply rather than respun. Don't think that should cost more than a couple bucks per article. Just my 2 cents.

If you would show how to do this it would be great. I get the concept, but can't visualize the steps to make it happen.

Alright — I went ahead and created a 8:30 sec tutorial video that will show you what this nested spinning this is all about. It's really simple and easy, check it out:

Now I use article builder for my article source. They are already heavily spun, and reworked so your starting with a good content before you do the nested spinning.

Just to be clear, this is the "spin syntax": I like {Apples|Grapes|Oranges}!

I just wonder how many indexed back-links do you get on average every time you go through this process?
And do you mind sharing the results you got from using this process?

Self plugging or promotion or referring someone to your sig is NOT allowed. You need to read the rules. If someone reports you or a few people do, you could get banned.

The only valid place to promote yourself on this forum is in one of the paid forums.

I am not reporting you, but I suggest you delete or change your post before someone else does.

you can look for writers here: OAP Members Directory | Directory for Virtual Assistants and Outsourced Workers

You can look for writers at very cheap rates. It's always good to hire someone directly rather than a company.

I am testing out 'The Content Authority' right now. I sent 16 articles for rewriting.

So far 15 are done, pretty fast turnaround. Two rewrites were done on the same day as submission and the others have trickled in day by day. Only 1 came back with too many hits in copyscape. It was rewritten, again, in a couple of hours and passed copyscape.

I have yet to get anything that I can use with absolutely no edits. Some have required a little editing by me and some a bit more editing. For rewrites one cannot select a level of service which means that some rewrites are at the basic level (English speakers not guaranteed).

I do not like the way rewrites need to be submitted, one by one, pasting the articles and typing in keywords. However, for new content there is a bulk order form. I also do not like the idea of buying "credits" in advance prior to submitting orders. My preference is to submit what I need and pay at the end. For this service, you pay for each article, one by one, with "credits" which are $1 for 1 credit.

Hopefully this is helpful. I looked for a writer for a while (have 6 blogs, 1 I write myself) and I prefer a company rather than a solo writer.

I received some articles (not from The Content Authority) and it was obviously spun PLR, and poorly spun too. I was able to find, within seconds, one ezine article that was spun. That was sent back for rewriting.

The Content Authority is good as long as you choose "Excellent" writer and iWriter.

Or use the suggestion someone else made in this thread and search this forum for a writer that will give you what you want. There are many here that are very high quality.

    Good luck!

I used Fweez but found that the quality depended on who wrote the article. I would either get a good batch of articles (the writer knew what he was doing) or articles that would need to be rewritten/edited, which can be very frustrating and time consuming. But remember, you get what you pay for.

Yeah, I've used them for a few batches and the quality varies. And it takes a little while (although I have no idea of there workload or subject knowledge).

A quick turnaround time is usually the sign of either outsourcing to other writers or a writer not have much work. Sometimes you get lucky and catch a writer when they do have a bit of downtime after a larger job, but usually this means lower quality.

I have found that writers turning content around within 1 to 3 days usually provide lower quality. Myself, I don't have a problem waiting 2 weeks if I know I will get quality.

I also like to have direct contact with my writer. I don't like to use services because you never know who you get and I have had a few bad experiences with them.

Consider hiring an individual and don't expect quality if you want it fast.

I use no article writing service. You could probably better use the money used to hire a writer, and take it to advertise your website all over the place. Do you not have the time to write 5 articles per day for your website?

I have my own team (not trying to plug myself here, just qualifying my response) and I do a great deal of my own writing, but I would like to highly recommend Yuwanda Black's firm New Media Words (dot biz) as a great company.

I see a lot of reference to cheap services, and if that is what you want, her firm isn't for you. Expect to pay a reasonable $45 per article. It is well worth it--consistent, quality content that gets results is worth much more than that investment!

I am affiliated with her firm only as a customer, just sharing my satisfaction. Nothing in it for me.

I hope you find the right firm for your projects.

I've also used iwriter and they were 'ok'...turn around time for my project was a few days. I've also had good luck in finding article writers directly from this forum and from Scriptlance. Just ask for samples and rates and go with the writing 'voice' that suits your needs. Some people use articles merely for links and that's one thing, others want their articles to be found and acted on, that's another. So it really depends on your goals.

I'd like high quality articles for web blog posts that I can also possibly spin or modify manually for article submission sites. I've tried a couple of writing services that cost me $5-7 per article, both were obviously using ESL writers and I had to edit the articles for grammar and readability. After reading this post I'm going to try iWriter. I've chosen the option for their best writers and I'm paying a premium.

I'd like to get quality 500-700 word articles for web blog posts for <$20. Any suggestions? Should I outsource to odesk or some similar service? Can I get a quality article for $20 or less?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Another vote for iWriter here, especially if you're just using the articles for SEO and you're not too concerned with quality. Turnaround time is great.

I've tried to use iWriter for some website content and if you can find a writer you like it's no problem. I did pay the extra little fee to get better writers and there were a few though that I still had to edit and rewrite.

The killer feature though is that you don't pay for the article until you read it and make sure it's up to your standards.
