I am an owner of Tube Assassin. It is a software with a ton of potential, but at this time I cannot recommend it to anyone. My experience may be unique, but I have been extremely disappointed with the software documentation provided, and my interactions with the support desk have been frustrating as well.

I cannot comment on how well the software actually works because even after a couple of weeks of struggling with it, I still have not been able to get it functioning properly. I found the two support videos (one about 70 minutes in length and the other about 34 minutes) to be inadequate. Perhaps I just need more guidance than other people, but for me several important steps are missing from the video training, and I apparently am going to have to figure these things out on my own.

Furthermore, at a couple of points in the videos, the speaker indicates that some features will be explained in future videos; however, I have not been made aware of any more videos that are presently available or that are projected to be available in the near future. Thus, I guess users are supposed to figure out how to use these advanced features themselves, or they have to go through the support desk.

In addition, because searching for specific information in videos can be very time consuming, I prefer having written documentation available to refer to for specific questions. Unfortunately, though, there is no written documentation provided with this software, and as far as I can tell, there is no online manual or FAQ page that users can go to get answers to their questions. For the $997 price tag, I would expect the software to have first-class user documentation. However, this software is sadly lacking in that regard.

My experience with the support desk has been very frustrating and unsatisfying up to this point. They offered to do a Skype chat to help me through the issues I am having, but a week has passed, and I still have not been able to make connections with anyone on Skype. I initially indicated a time frame of several hours during which I would be available to chat. I was told, however, that I needed to set a specific time for a chat. We did so, but then the support person never showed up at the appointed time. I rescheduled another time later in the week. I was on Skype at the appointed time, but the support person wasnít. I complained, and I was told that the person had messaged me but I hadnít responded. The actual fact of the matter is that our appointment was at 10 a.m.; however, the support person had messaged me at 8:42 a.m., when I wasnít even online yet. By the time I was online (approximately 10 minutes before our scheduled time), they were nowhere to be found. Why do they insist on setting a specific time for a chat if the support person isnít even going to show up at that time? Now they want to set up yet another time. I am extremely frustrated with this chain of events.

Even though I can see how this software could be a nice moneymaker, I have requested a refund of my purchase price. However, given their lack of response, they obviously do not honor refund requests. Therefore, if you do decide to buy, be aware that your decision is final and irreversible. Because of all the money I have invested in the software, I will persist in my efforts to get it functioning, but if I had it to do over again, knowing what I know now, I definitely would not buy the software unless and until they provide more documentation and better support.

For the reasons cited above, I cannot recommend this software to anyone. Understand, however, that my comments reflect only one personís experience. I am surprised that no one else has posted a review of Tube Assassin yet. Hopefully, other users will soon share their experiences with the software so that readers can determine to what extent my experience might be considered typical or atypical.

Art,

Finally someone has turned up - answering my question. I feel sad for the both of us. I too bought the software and have had exactly the same experience as you. That's a relief in a sense because I was wondering if it was just me. Does it bring and comfort to you at all to know you are not the only one? I have asked for a refund and like with all the customer service I am not holding my breath and my advice to anyone considering it... stay well clear!!

gforces,
I'm sorry to hear that you've also had a bad experience with Tube Assassin. At that same, it is good to know that my experience isn't unique, that I'm not the only one who has had trouble getting the software working.

I'm glad that you started this thread. Before I purchased the product, I searched for a review but could not find one. Now, potential purchasers will be able to read about our experiences before they hit the buy button. Thanks again, and good luck with your refund request. They have essentially ignored my requests up to this point.

Sickbaomei,
Apparently, you've had an unsatisfactory experience with Tube Assassin also, right? Contacting your webinar host may be worth a shot. The webinar I attended was hosted by James Sides. Now that I know that my experience is not unique, I think I'll shoot him an email and include a link to this thread. I think it's at least worth a shot.

I too did some searching before buying the software but could find nothing online. Nothing in the way of testimonials, no software reviews, not even a website selling the thing. That should have been a red light to me but the "false scarcity" tactic used by "Charlie" on the webinar got me this time... when usually it doesn't. I didn't want to miss out on something that was "so good". It never pays to rush into purchasing anything, especially expensive software.

I bought through a webinar hosted by Ty Cohen. I have usually had time for what Ty has had on offer. In the past he has introduced me to some great product. Not this time however and I will be super cautious of anything he has on offer from now on. I will probably unsubscribe from his list after this experience.

I usually come to the Warrior Forum for some insight. On this occasion I did but found nothing, and that's why I started this thread so that others can be forewarned. And being forewarned is to forearmed.

Thanks guys for your input.

Thanks for that info. No wonder I could not find anything on the net about Tube Assassin. It seems to be all "cloak and daggers" with whoever came out with this software product. I'm going to check out the Traffic Phoenix product now....

WOW.... I wish I had know about the Traffic Phoenix scam before. Just been reading a whole ton of complaints on various blogs and scam sites like this one: http://ianexplores.com/software-revi.../#comment-6482

Now to push through with the refund and joining in with others to get some action taken.

No problem..this product has been given different names so that they can continue to
deceive and scam people..The Tube Assassin webinar that I got kicked out of after I stated
that Tube Assassin was the same product as Traffic Phoenix was referred by James Sides..As you have seen there are numerous complaints when you google Traffic Phoenix and there is also info of people who have had success in getting their money refunded.

Oh my god.. after reading the thread, it is certain that this is a scam product.. The name of the product has been changed repeatedly to evade maybe negative search engine reviews about it.. (from ATOMIC ANDROID X -> Traffic Phoenix -> Viral Affiliate X->Tube Assassin ..etc )

can't believe its promoted by Anik Singal , Travis ,Jamie Lewis and James Sides are among the elite to promote this .. if WF has a section for Scams where we can report such con artists..it will be helpful to all.

And they change the payment system from Plimus to SWREG to make refunds more difficult.

** I attended the webinar hosted by James Sides but luckily I don't have the money to buy it immediately... (although very tempted at the time).. imagine those who who can't afford but persuaded to borrow money to spend on this scam.. I remember one day after the webinar, I receive an email from James that this is "truely" a product that changes people life and make it sounds like the magic pill to get rich..haha.. well...

prosper1 and gforces,
Thanks for bringing the previous scams to my attention! Apparently, rather than addressing the productís obvious deficiencies, this guy keeps changing the name of the product just so that he can scam more people!

I agree wholeheartedly with gforces that we should all join together and try to get some corrective action taken--perhaps by alerting the current payment processor about the previous scam, and also by making sure that the marketers hosting the webinars are aware of it as well. Iíd like to do what I can to keep others from falling victim to this scammer. My internet access will probably be spotty most of this week, but Iíll be sure to check in on this thread at least once a day and will pitch in when I can.

I agree with pukimama that it would be nice if there were a Scam Alert section on WF. Apparently, though, a lot of people have seen this thread at least, so hopefully weíve already helped some of them.

I have just visited another forum and I read that these guys have renamed the software AGAIN and is now called "Traffic Chaos". Please let people know about this. Tell them to stay away. And Ty Cohen why are you still promoting this to your lists?

I was on the webinar tonight with Mack Michaels. The creator of the software claimed he was only selling 15 licenses. On the sales page the price was listed at $997. I guess since Mack Michaels is the founder of the Millionaire Society, the software was renamed Millionaire Traffic Society.

Yes, finally I got my refund. Dealing with their support was useless. Dealing with SWREG (the payment processing wasn't) much better but when I finally got PayPal to intervene and act on my behalf I got a full refund. Did take weeks to acheive though but finally got my money back.

After my bad experiences with the Support Desk (as detailed in my earlier product review). I declined to schedule another Skype session with them, insisting instead that all I wanted at this point was a refund. Two weeks ago they responded that my refund request had been passed on to the Refund Department. I've heard nothing from them since, and to be honest, I really don't expect to.

EDIT: Please ignore the above. In reviewing my email just now, I realized that I had overlooked an email that I received a few days ago from Paypal which indicated that SWReg had refunded my full purchase price. I'm very grateful about that, as I was thinking that I was just going to count this as an expensive learning experience.

Well THATS encouraging!

Thank you Art for all your efforts...and the others here as well. I too purchased but having gone through the training and being left with more questions than answers have put it aside for when my brain is more alert (I thought it was just me)!

So is SWREG linked to PayPal?
I assume so if PayPal arranged a refund from SWREG.

Maybe there is some light at the end of this tunnel - particularly since I had to also pay 24% tax on this thing

Any other tips on getting a refund would be most welcome, such as any time limit etc.

It was James Sides who hosted the webinar I attended. I did think he was one of the 'good guys' but now I'm having my doubts. So I'll be attempting to contact him about this and will be most interested in how he explains this scam.

You know what they say happens when you assume things?

Well you shouldn't assume that because a software shares the name of one from a few years prior its the same software.

Its not.

Its not the same owner.

Its not the same developer.

Its not the same features.

etc etc etc

Next time do a little due diligence before making false statements.

I own the domain TubeAssassin and did before the other guys ever named their product that. Feel free to verify that fact if you like.

I just purchased it ($27), along with the OTO ($37) for the xtra features. I was invited to the offer by Ross Goldberg and will be using for researching my competition for local YT video marketing within the local offline market.

So far, the program seems solid with no install issue on my stock Win 7, 64-bit laptop. Looking spending time with this beast!

A quick YouTube search for "Tube Assassin" reveals a lot of public information!

So far, the program seems solid with no install issue on my stock Win 7, 64-bit laptop. Looking spending time with this beast!

You might have noticed there is a difference in some of the earlier Tube Assassin videos and the newer ones in the look of the software.

That's because I changed it from Web Based to Adobe Air which also made the videos obsolete but I'll be adding new ones to a Url asap and putting a "help" link in the software based on your suggestion.
