Still having CAPTCHA issues in FF 3. I use that Wordpress Smart Pinger plugin. I also use Autopinger.com. I just like the interface with Pingler. Too bad we can't get that CAPTCHA thing fixed. |

Also it is important to remember to use your brain when you ping these sites. Obviously if you ping TOO often it will get you blacklisted. We recommend using the site every few days or posts, whatever is a longer time period in between. Take Care, Peter

We are still looking for any suggestions/criticisms on this so we can enhance the available features. ------------------------------------------- Nice and fast service. Here are a few things I saw. 1. Technorati did not allow the ping saying they were just pinged. Probably from pingomatic. Can dupes like that be taken out. Will that get a site flagged? 2. I am not that thrilled with the pinged sites being listed. Sort of a privacy thing. 3. Here is what I would think could be a good subscription service. Especially for people with a number of sites. With the subscription you can log in and fill out a from for each site you have. When the info is saved all the URLs would appear with check boxes next to them. Anytime sites are updated, you could log in and check the boxes for the sites to be pinged. Since this is a log in situation the capcha would not be needed. Arnold |

I love pingler very much and have been using it since I have seen it listed here. However, now every time I try to use the service I receive a network timeout error. I know that it is on my side as I have had it with other websites before. Usually if I do a flush dns, reset my Comcast modem and and few other things I can then get through. Although I have tried everything that I can think of (and I am by no means tech savy) would you have any suggestions. When I ping, I see that I am sending packets but not receiving. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! Patricia |

Thanks the service works very well. Any reason we don't enter the rss url, like pingomatic.com?

Hi! Thanks so much for this tool! It looks great and I'm going to start using it immediately. I've been using Pingomatic and sometimes pingoat but they both seem like they've been having issues lately. Nice to have something different and something that we can count on! Thanks again, Brenda |

freetime, your signature file exceeds the 5 line max requirement, better sort that out before Allen gets on your case and removes ya from the forum.

You guys are all very welcome, the site has grown tremendously since it's release and we are now under 80,000 alexa ranking. Thanks for all of your support, especially to those who have donated, provided a backlink, posted in your blogs or suggested it to a friend. It will help us to continue to keep it a free service and add even more features in the future. |

Hey Peter- Just joined today and pinged 25 sites/urls. Sounds like an awesome service and I'll post about it on my blog for ya! Here's a trick I'm testing for greater traffic... Load your top authority site urls, such as your profile pages from Myspace, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Stumble Digg, Mixx, etc. and all of those sites will link to your websites. I think the trickle-down effect could be much bigger then an individual website url. Try it and see how it works for you! |

| Sure... On Pingler, when you add your site url's, take a few of your "profile url links" from big authority sites, such as Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc. Here's a few of mine as examples: Article Directory - Google Profile YouTube - gallerysites's Channel <---- I only have 1 video so far! The Gallery Sites on Twitter Article Gallery - LinkedIn Article Gallery on - StumbleUpon Insert those type of url's into your Pingler control panel. These authority sites get heavy traffic, so your profile within these sites contain links to your own websites, blog or page urls, hopefully bringing you additional traffic. I've only been using Pingler for 2 weeks so I haven't checked any stats yet, but this type of backlink method is said to work best. Good luck! |

I love Pingler and use it all the time - I have told many people about it also and they are always greatful I told them about it. The only problem is that you have to refresh the page 2 or 3 times first or it says your captcha is wrong and then you have to retype all the fields again.

I've been using Pinlger since I first saw it posted here, and overall have loved it.Like others, I was having some issues with the captcha-but I just realized that I haven't had a problem with it in a few weeks. It's definitley my go-to ping site. Regards, Kevin |

Glad you guys like it, we had a good time developing it and running the site for while. We sold it awhile back, but the new owner has done a great job of keeping it up and enhancing the service for users by adding a small membership fee to have your sites pinged automatically. Otherwise it is still a nice free webmaster tool.

If you update your site everyday with content then it shouldn't hurt to ping it daily, but if the site is not regularly updated I would wait a few days in between. You can ping any page of your site. I like to ping my main page every week or so and then I ping the individual pages as I add them to my sites.

I like it. It's quick, and only a couple sites would show unpinged vs. half of the sites on some other pingers.

Hi Warriors, I am confused. Are we supposed to be 'pinging' our individual articles on EZA and other directories so that they are indexed and then we have a backlink to our website? Dianne |

Checkout PingNinja.com yes this is my site but i'm only posting it here because it is a) free and without ads.. and b) faster than pingler.com same type of setup, you give it your URL + then can use the default ping server list or copy + paste in your own. Still in beta form but test it for yourself as far as being faster than pingler by running them side by side and seeing which one finished first. (If you don't believe it actually sends the ping you can either test it with your own ping server or just use one which lists recent pings.. I assure you there is no tom-foolery here). Enjoy p.s. any suggestions would be great for how to improve this....I initially set out to speed up the pingler setup, any suggestions that don't add any severe additions to server load will probably be added... Because its free and id like to keep it that way I'm not going to add any services that would bog down the box (i use it for other things). |

I think it's great. Pingomatic seem to be available so Pingler.com is gorgeous for pinging static sites.

Hi Forum. I too really like pingler and won't bother with any of the others again unless pingler starts playing up or goes off line at some point. So I have a question that has always baffled me and I've never really been able to find a 'definite' answer to, as opinions seem varied. So here goes: I've just added 1 new page and updated 2 existing pages to a static site. All of the pages are interlinked. Therefore, should i just PING one of the pages and assume the links on that page will be crawled resulting in those pages being updated too, or should i PING each URL seperately. I've love to know the correct answer to this if any one can help. Thanks in advance Andee |
