Jaaxy - New Keyword Research Tool

This new keyword research tool came out maybe a week or so ago from the owners of Wealthy Affiliate I believe. Has anyone tried it out yet? It looks pretty cool so I was thinking about giving it a go and seeing how it is.

I'm surprised no one has commented on this product. There sure are enough IMers pitching it on their blogs and mail lists.

Thought I'd bump up this thread to try to get some balanced opinions.

Yes the info is there on the web site, though, yes, as I recall it's not super easy to find.

Anyway you get something like 20 or 30 free searches if you sign up on facebook, and then it's about $20 a month. I figure it's worth a try for $20 if you can cancel after a month if you don't like it. (I assume you can do that.)

I would sign up for a free trial but it's one of those things where you have to give it permission to post to your facebook page, access your friends and info, crap like that and I refuse to do that. I wrote them to ask if I could get the free trial without using facebook. Waiting to hear back from them.

People are promoting it because it's a pretty good affiliate deal. Whether it's a really good keyword tool I don't know. I figure the only way to really know is to try it.

It's $29 per month but it looks okay (as far as keyword research software goes) unlimited searches etc... However I just started a thread asking people here if they could recommend a one time payment only software instead of these recurring payment schemes... Had no replies yet & probably won't (I guess there are a lot of us looking for our ideal keyword/SEO software). I personally don't want recurring monthly bills when there's enough of all that with the autoresponder, webhost, membership sites, photo stock sites & other software billing agreements & so on.

    This is kind of strange:
"Keyword Competition - Only available with Jaaxy
Knowing the competition that a keyword has in the search engines is the single most valuable piece of data that you can have. Without knowing how many websites are ranked for a keyword, you are rolling the dice. It’s why keyword tools in the past have never worked for you."
That's very easy to search for yourself on Google. What's so unique with that? I will pay $19 for knowing something that I can get for free? Nope

I've been using Jaaxy for about a week now. Granted, I am just starting out myself but it sure is a lot more organized to me than using google Adwords or anything similar. I used up my 30 searches. Got the 1st month and giving it a whirl for the first time. It really does help you with some good ideas on keywords due to the layout and "user friendliness" of it all.

It's a tool that helps you get long, long-tail keywords. It tells you how many pages compete for it (how many results Google shows... i.e., the number of the last result Google shows, when you go to the end of the last page in the results). It lets you select and save keywords. It lets you select keywords to write articles about (under tasks; you can check off if you complete).

It works with the assumption that the fewer pages compete for a keyword, the more likely you are to make it to the top with little SEO. Often, maybe usually, that's the case.

It has limits. You can't copy and paste a bunch of keywords you found somewhere else and have it analyze them. As a matter of fact, you can't have it look at more than 1 keyword... or, at least, I have not found the way.

It often does not come up with similar keywords...
      If you input
      best keyword for xyz
it often fails to bring up
      best keywords for xyz

If you give it the root of a keyword (weight loss), it brings a bunch of keywords (not too many). If you give it something longer (how to lose weight fast), it will only consider that something (i.e., it analyzes how to lose weight fast and fails to bring up, as other possibles, how to lose weight quickly or how to lose weight fast for my wedding).

Main advantage: it brings up keywords you didn't think of and gives you a green, orange, or red dot next to the number of competing results (so it's easy to know which keywords have the least 'competition' (competition, again, defined as number of pages that Google shows in search results, not how tough the top 3 are).

Well, since you can try it out for free, judge yourself if this is something for you. I did and I noticed the results show up extremely fast, it gives you an idea on keywords, monthly searches, competition, seo power and you can check if domain name is available. You can search one keyword at the time and it gives you related keywords and suggestions. You can look at the competition and see if and how many articles and videos are submitted, and where. You can go into website serps and find affiliate programs for the keyword in the most wellknown marketplaces. I think this is a good tool for brainstorming, ideas and quickly finding affiliate programs for the leyword.

I found it annoying to use. But it does come with keywords that get some traffic that are easy to rank for that I would not come up with on my own, that Google and Market Samurai don't come up with.
