Was just curious to see if anyone has tried OptinSkin and if so can you kindly share your honest feedback?

    Hey YourReviewer,

I know I'm biased, but the feedback has been amazing so far.

Already had reports of people noticing 25% increases in subscribers, and way more. Seeing lots of creative uses for it as well

I'm liking the sales blurb for optin skin but like you I would like to know if anybody has any results with testing, all fine people saying yeah it's brilliant, for all I know these could be the beta testers reviewing the product. However I would prefer some real feedback as optimizepress seems to be the one to beat.

I just bought it and I'm playing with it now. I'll come back and let you know what I think. So far so good. I'm noticing that it's a little slow on my server but that could be on my end.

After playing around with the plugin, I initially liked it. However, it's probably not for me. The forms are "pretty" and will suit a LOT of people's needs, but I need more flexibility with adding additional fields.

They do have the ability for you to add your own forms but this requires adding custom html and css. If you do that, all the other features like split testing and fade in, etc should work. However, I was looking for something that I didn't have to do all that with. Reading the salespage, I thought it a graphic interface similar to the form builder on Aweber where you can add fields and the form adjusts. It's not.

They have lots of form variations but no ability to add additional fields which was a deal killer for me.

This does not mean, in any means, that it should be a deal killer for anybody else. This is NOT a negative review. Everything is as promised on the sales page. I just failed to read the FAQ page which clearly states that you can't add fields to the pre-made forms.

For people who need very nice designs inside their posts and widgets and need just the basic info (email or name & email), this will work splendidly on their Wordpress site.

I know this is an old post but in my experience asking for more than just a name and email address will kill the deal to many potential subscribers. This is just my experience. Are you having better results?

        Absolutely correct!

I did one simple test over 3 months.

I had an optin for on one of my sites that had the ' Name' and 'Email' fields. This was to get a simple free report.

In three months I had 487 optins for that report.

I then ran a test with an optin form that just had the 'Email' field only.

The optins...792 for the same period and for the same visitor/traffic numbers to that page.

I've done that same test more than a dozen times, and I always get very similar results. So make of that what you will.
