Rapid Action Profits

Hi Everyone,

The hefty monthly price tag of 1ShoppingCart has driven me to search for alternative programs with similar capabilities.

I heard about RAP and decided to take a look at its feature list. It pretty much encompasses everything I want and need for my upcoming releases.

My only problem, however, is that the program is a script. I'm not very technically sound, and all of my websites are created using a WYSIWYG editor. How difficult is it to set up RAP? Do you have to be very technically sound?

You can pay someone about $50 to do all the setup for you

But it's relatively simple anyway, the manual walks you through the process.

I wrote a blog post with my thoughts on RAP just the other day... you could say I'm a fan.

Steve Mount with Article Agent Pro just had a domain meltdown because of RAP script. He lost all the data on affiliates, etc. Still not fixed.

I've taken a look at it. It is NOT newbie friendly. It is similar to amember. You have to know a lot of php and html.

Is RAP a script or a payment processor? I thought it was simply designed to allow 100% for affiliates into their paypal accounts?

Could someone please expand on this?

Actually, the data for affiliates was NOT lost - but he has definitely lost data in other tables.

We, at Rapid Action Profits, are not prepared at this point to accept responsibility for the problem, as Steve is only one of many users running the software. Hundreds of users have been using RAP for the better part of 17 months with none of these same problems (myself included).

The fact that he is running RAP on the site, doesn't mean that it is at the root of the problem. Some other script could be at fault (third party tracking scripts, etc.), hacking of the web server thru another domain on the same server, or even an inexperienced employee of his web hosting company.

That said, we are actively researching any potential problems with RAP itself, not only to restore Steve's site to full operation, but to insure that other users don't experience similar issues.

Actually, a large percentage of our users ARE 'newbies'. There is no need to know ANY php. In fact, you could probably count on one hand the number who have EVER modified the php files. We discourage it and do not support modified code.

It's a system consisting of a database, processing script, and templates. It is NOT a payment processor, and uses Paypal for that functionality.

Plenty of bullets on the sales page for explanations.

Hi Jesse,

I think your question has been answered but I would just like to add
that I was very impressed with the support I received from Sid and
other RAP users when I just started using RAP.

It may be a bit tricky the first time you use RAP but it's not really
that complicated and you will quickly get the hang of it.

RAP is a pretty full featured program and not too difficult to set up. You may want to get the training Videos at rapidactionvideosdotcom if you want to get going really fast. Not only do you get some real easy to understand videos about installation and set up, included in the same $37 they will also set it up for you the first time. Not a bad deal..... and no, I am not related to the seller in any way.... just passing along something that helped me.
