Yep, and if you own a dedicated server, you can dump thousands. Skyrockets your chances of finding winning ads in tons of niches.

What I love about ASP most is, it's so easy to see (based on it's winning formula), which Adwords ads are potential money makers.

Hello JP. I bought my copy from you when you first released it.

Is v1.1 still the latest?

My 1.1 doesn't work anymore.

Thanks,

To all :-)
This is not the ASP support forum. I just logged in here first time in months because I was told someone was illegally reselling ASP. I never post in the WF, nor do I check my PMs...If you have purchased through a reseller, please deal with your reseller. If you've purchased from me, then log a ticket where you know (you have a thank you page with all the details).

If ASP need a VPS which cost $60+/mth or a dedicated which cost $100+/mth, isn't it better to invest the money in other program like keywordspy, ppc bully, spy fu etc?

At least you won't have to worry about upgrading of script, hosting problem etc.

At least you won't have to worry about upgrading of script, hosting problem etc.
I think it's worth bearing in mind that most subscription services have a keyword limit. For example, PPC Bully has two subscription levels: $49/month gives you 500 keyword limit, $99/month gives you 2,000 keyword limit. These prices are comparable with those for VPS and dedicated server monthly costs, and with ASP there is no limit to the number of keywords you can monitor (other than constraints associated with server load, of course). Then again, you need to manage the server and update ASP as and when required, so there isn't a solution that's right for everybody.

Many shared hosting companies do not allow scripts such as ASP. I had ASP running on a HostGator shared account and it was disabled. Here's an extract from their ToS:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Violations of the Terms of Service will waive the refund policy.

7. Resource Usage

User may not:
a) Use 25% or more of system resources for longer then 90 seconds. There are numerous activities that could cause such problems; these include: CGI scripts, FTP, PHP, HTTP, etc.
b) Run stand-alone, unattended server-side processes at any point in time on the server. This includes any and all daemons, such as IRCD.
c) Run any type of web spider or indexer (including Google Cash / AdSpy) on shared servers.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope that helps.

Gotta tell you I bought the script and loved it until I moved my hosting to Host Gator; they will not let you run this script. I almost went to another host to re-install, in fact I'm seriously considering getting a small host just to run this script. I think it's good.

Personally, I think initially the problem with ASP is that the only way it can be used is if you have a dedicated server, and mere mortals short on cash can't do that.

But I do believe in the product but as has been said it's hard to get a hosting company to host for you.

I have a report somewhere on my PC that it can be run on your PC - Now where is that report?

Brian

I does what it says it does; installation was quite easy, and I've had no problems so far with over 300 keyword phrases x 4 searches a day (admittedly modest number).

Here you are: $25 p/m VPS (VPS is as closest you'll get to deciated):

Best deal on fast linux VPS | Centos Ubuntu Fedora | eBoundHost.com

I was with them. Not anymore as went with dedicated with another company.

But good AdSpyPro hosting solution. With the $25 p/m plan, you could probably track up to 10,000 keywords or more... any one time.

For comparison... HostGator (shared at $9.95 p/m) won't let you more then 500, if any at all. :-)

Looks like its $27 now. I already have a dedicated server, so this seems like a no-brainer...

Where does everyone get their proxies for this one from?

Default Re: Adspy Pro

My two cents:

1. keywordspy/keycompete/spyfu:
- you can put a keyword and find competitors. OR put a domain name: and get all the keywords they are bidding on.
2. ppc bully and adspypro:
- you put the keywords and track which ads are being shown and for how long.
The idea is, if a particular ad is showing up many days, either that affiliate is ignorant or making money. We use that keyword.

Keywordspy/keycompete/spyfu: monthly subscription.
ppc bully: monthly subscription
adspypro: cheap but needs its own dedicated server etc.

My recommended tools:
1) KEYWORD ELITE: I have this one. When I ran the 5th Project, here just like in ppc bully and adspypro, you put keywords and track.
Pros: - no need of dedicated server
- desktop software. So no need to host on a server
- Brad Callen is very good with updates
- one time payment. You can buy for 40% of the cost, if you buy from your own affiliate link which I did.

cons: none.

2) google keyword tool:
- if you select: web content option and put the domain name, similar to keywordspy, it gives few relevant keywords
- you can use those keywords and expand the list.
- use this list and run Keyword elite project 5.

why people are complicating this with dedicated server etc.

Someone tell me why my thinking is wrong.

Computer resources. If you have a computer dedicated to watching thousands upon thousands of keywords than you may get away with it.

If you are only using one computer than it will bog it down. You won't be able to do much of anything else.

Also the speed of your internet connection may not be as fast as using a dedicated server.

I may just take my old laptop and run adspy on it locally.

I have tried PPC bully. I think the disadvantages is it don't have the function to spy or dig out what are all the ads used by my competitors. I believe ASP works about the same as PPC bully but without the 500 keywords limitation. PPC Kahuna could be a better choice as it don't have the keywords limitation.

I owned a copy of keyword elite but have never tried to used it like adspypro. But monitoring ads using my computer could have a problem as i am not from US and the ads shown might not be appropriate and would definitely give me false indicators.

angel_man, I have Keyword Elite, along with ASP.

Fact is, Keyword Elite, falls under the most disadvantageous, least feature-rich, weakest Adwords PPC spy tool. But one of best keyword generation tools on the internet.

For example, who the hell is going to leave their computer 24/7 just so they can give Keyword Elite a chance to update it's Adwords ads database. Noone.

Infact I use Keyword Elite, to generate the keywords and then put them in AdSpyPro. So those 2 tools compliment each other.

Does anyone know if you can still get resell licenses or private label to Adspy Pro?

Possibly source code to keep up with changes in the search engines?

Thomas, contact me for resell license if you wish. There's no private label version offered so far since we maintain the code and update it as soon as search engine changes something in their algo... A feature not discussed is that with ASP you can spy on any Google datacenter, as well as on any Yahoo datacenter which allows a focused ppc strategy too...

nice to read this thread - i also use adspy pro - i give 300 keywords to 3 hosting companies - only in shared hosting.
i realy want to know if i will buy dedicated server - how much keywords i will can put on dedeicated server.
my second question - i theink that if i will check more then 500 keywords - i must use proxy - but its very hard to find proxy that work. i find paid proxy servise that give me 10 proxyies for 6 dollars a mounths.
do you think its better to buy the proxy paid servise?
thanks

There's no reason we stop supporting Adspy Pro, really. ASP was released exactly 2 years ago and we have always released timely upgrades when google changes the search results.

For the records, I did not create ASP to make money, but just to propose the best alternative to really expensive scripts...and most importantly to show that you can offer a better solution for much cheaper. I hoped people would then be able to measure the value of what they're buying...

Thomas, you should try on your shared hosting first, but I really recommend using your dedi server if you want to scale things up...

AndreVas,

Is it critical to have proxy to run ASP?

Yes it is critical. Else Google will ban your servers IP.

How to get a proxy list you can copy-paste into AdspyPro?

Here's one place: Free Proxy Lists - IP and Port Lists - Hide My Ass!

Or google: Buy proxy list

Or you can easily get free ones by googling: Free proxy list

But I don't recommend it because they're banned all over the place due to spammers using them to hide themselves.

How many proxies to load up in ASP? I have at all times about 50+.

There's no reason we stop supporting Adspy Pro, really. ASP was released exactly 2 years ago and we have always released timely upgrades when google changes the search results.

If you watch there video's, they tell you not to worry about using any proxies as there is no need to use them if you keep your search for all keywords total under about 200-300.

This is what I do; I set up the top keywords for any given niche and keep it to 25 per campaign.

I never have more than 8 campaigns running at a time.
I run them for 14 days.

If my hosting doesn't allow cron scripts, does this mean it will not work? Please I want to use this, but if not it is a waste. Thanks.

Every Linux host on the planet allows cron jobs.

Hello

I have been a member her for some time, but I have been busy with some other non IM things, so I have never posted before.

I have just installed Adspypro on a VPS and everything went ok until I tried to use proxy, and now it is not working anymore.

AndreVas, since you already got this to work with proxy, could you please help me?

What settings do you use under your administrative settings:

use proxy

Continue use of proxy per cycle
proxy time out

apply scheduling

time difference in two rounds
max keywords tracked per round/proxy
proxy pause time after max keyword tracked

Also do the proxy's need to be selected with a check mark in order to work?

One last thing, how do you manage to keep a active proxy list?
I have installed "Proxy Finder Enterprise" but out of the many thousands of proxy's I was only able to get about 13 to get status ok in adspypro.

I would really be grateful for any help you can give me.

Thank you for your time

cohen

AndreVas, first thank you for you help.

I have tried the same settings, I think they are the default settings?, but I can still not get it to work.

The proxy's check out ok, but as soon as I set adspypro to use proxy it stops collecting data.

I am using a VPS at eboundhost, same as you used before.

If anybody knows who to get adspypro to work with proxy, I could really need some help.

Set to above for crons.

Yes I used AdSpyPro on VPS eboundhost too.

If still doesn't work, send me your ASP login via PM and will check. I bet it's because the proxy IP you're using is timing out.

Hello

I can still not get it to work.

I tried to change the cronjob to run every 30 min. to see if it is working, but it is still not collecting data.

Due to my low post count I can not send you a PM, so could you please contact me on this email address, , when you have time?

Thank you

I ran Adspy for 14 days, not only did the cron jobs not work, it did not collect any data at all on 6 campaigns with 25 keywords each. Something is very wrong with this software or it will only work on a handful of hosting providers. At least I am getting some tech support as I see a new test campaign is being run after I submitted a support ticket. I will update when I finish with tech support.

Hello rhj12345

I have tried to run adspypro on my shared hostmonster account and it worked for about 1 day and than it stop collecting data.

I do not know why and have not tried to find out because I wanted to run adspypro on a VPS anyway.

On my VPS it runs without problems, it is only when I try to let is use proxy that it stops collecting data.

If I can not get it to work with proxy, I will try and run it from 2 domains with different ip's hosted on my VPS. This should allow me to run about 600 keywords in total.
