UBot Studio Review (comparing free alternatives))

As every experienced Internet Marketeer knows, building backlinks is a vital part of online success. Without backlinks your website will never take off, that's just how it is. Backlinks is of course just part of the success, but cannot be overlooked. There are three ways to build backlinks:
  • Manually
  • Automated using software
  • Outsourced

Of these three alternatives, the easiest is the last one. Just sign up to the service and submit your website details and, voila, you're done. Great isn't it? Well, there are some serious disadvantages. First of all you have very little quality control and secondly you need to pay some serious cash every month to get a decent service. For a competitive keyword in a post Penguin world you are looking at $500 per month. That's pretty steep. And without quality control you are left to the mercy of the service provider. Scary thought!

Doing it manually is really not an alternative as the time you will spend on link building will dwarf all other efforts you put into the site. There will be no time over for anything else. The only alternative to speak of is automation software. There are lots of them out there, the most famous probably being SENuke and XRumer. The problem with these software is that they have thousands of users posting to all the same sites. If that's not a huge footprint for Big G to hunt down I don't know what is. OK, you could scrape your own but how many are actually doing this? Only a small minority who knows what they are doing.

This leaves us with custom automation software like Ubot Studio. There are other alternative, including free ones like AutoIt and iMacros (browser based). Having tested both of these, especially AutoIt, I can say they just don't cut it. Why? Because they are not geared towards link building, but rather of automating repetitive Windows tasks (AutoIt) or assisting in routine web tasks like logging in (iMacros). None of these for example can handle Captcha solving natively which makes them very limited when it comes to building links.

Having done IM for some years now I have gained a lot of experience with various tools and what works and what doesn't. Automation software like Ubot is essential to a online success and more so now after the latest Penguin update. The reason for this is the constant updates Big G is running for their search algorithm on a continuous basis. A couple of years ago you could easily get a way with blog comment spam and forum profile spam and rank a website on the first page. As far as I have experienced lately, these type of links will do absolutely nothing for your rankings. Zilch, nada.

For full quality control combined with a good link quantity, Ubot is difficult to match. The learning curve is steep, I admit that, but once your train is up to speed it's hard to stop going to the top on every site you launch. A good link strategy and Ubot and you are set to conquer any niche you like (assuming great product(s) and quality content), even very competitive ones.

Ubot can be used for other things as well besides link building. Any web task that qualifies for automation is a great candidate. Want to move data from one website to another? No problem. Want to grab images from Flickr? Done. Want to scrape buyer keywords? Easy.

Creating a simple bot is not that difficult really. Watch the video below as I create a Keyword tool that scrapes buyer keywords (these are the ones we want, right?):

With the new version of Ubot it has become even easier to create a bot. This amazing software now includes a Bot Bank where members submit ready-made bot scripts for a vast array of sites. All these can be used for either education purposes or as a ready template for your own bot. This makes is so much easier to make bots. Basically just drag and drop and you are set to go with your new bot.

All in all, in a post Penguin world such tools as Ubot has gone from great to have to necessity. I wouldn't do without it.

If you are interested in UBot Studio go to UBot Studio.

      joergHaus,

I have been looking at purchasing this software.

Do you use the standard or Pro version in your work?

Determining all the differences between the 2 versions is a bit cumbersome.
The "features set description" on the Ubot site leaves a lot to be desired.
      They need a features matrix.

      Thanks.

Really very good information... I have been looking at this software for a while and am not too sure I could go with it. Don't misunderstand me on this, I would love to give it a try, but there is ( as was stated here ) a "steep learning curve" along with a fairly steep price tag. With those two things in mind, I just can't afford to try to learn how to use the software in a short time frame and at that price. Although I would like to...I had a similar issue with another software that was easily alleviated with a substantial trail discount. The software was priced at 67 dollars a month but for the first month you only needed to pay 5 bucks. THAT would be a good way to see if I could learn enough to decide weather or not to pay the full monthly price at the end of the trail period. it would be an excellent way for the owners of ubot to consider following...
