Bids That Give (bidsthatgive.com) advertises itself as a Private Profit Sharing Company.

Basically it's an online penny auction site with an affiliate program that pays down two levels.

It also has a series of bonus pools based upon an affiliate's bid volume.

Here's where it gets a little unclear. BidsThatGive says it's not an mlm. And that may technically be true. But it does have many similar characteristics. Mainly which is the incentive to refer additional affiliates, and the bonuses you are paid for bid volume.

Now bonuses paid are a share of the total company daily profits, but your share depends upon your total affiliate organizational volume. And it appears your volume is tied to you forever. So although you may not get a percentage below your second level of personal referrals, you do get credit for bid volume below you, regardless of levels.

And this could be a very lucrative affiliate compensation structure.

In fact, I've been looking at compensation plans for about 15 years, and this does appear to be one of the most fair, simple, and highest-payout I've ever seen.

Plus they advertise bonuses of cars, shopping sprees, exotic sports cars, houses, trips etc.

The BidsThatGive name is actually great marketing too. The name means something worthy, and raises curiousity to learn more. Which is that every bid helps a kid.

Now, I know there are pessimists who immediately accuse companies for using marketing ploys to pull people's emotional strings. But, I say so what, as long as it is TRUE. If that's what they say, and they DO what they say, then that's a good thing, period.

In fact, BTGs marketing tells how they plan to build orphanages and hospitals to help needy kids. That does seem a bit altruistic for just an online penny auction; but the founder's been supporting kid charities it seems for about 25 years, so then it makes sense.

It also is true that the founder went bankrupt (or his companies did) a couple times before. This may or may not mean anything. I know plenty of people who go bankrupt, then go on to achieve great success in business. So again, so what.

I did actually buy some bids myself and bid on one of the live auctions. So it appears to work, even though they're still beta-testing the auction system. But it did look pretty good. And the items were stuff I'd personally like to win. Laptops, jewelry, ipads, etc.

More to come....
