Has anyone heard of this guy?

I received a mailshot from a UK marketer called Martin Burns. His Company name is Spotlight Marketing which is based in Manchester, UK (the full contact details are on the website). Through his website he is trying to sell me what is called the "Ultimate System" for a price of £87 (£67 if you cancel and accept the special offer). He doesn't give away too much info on what the system entails, but is offering a triple money - back guarantee if you are not earning at least £5000 per month witin six months, and includes free coaching for six months by phone or email.

As a newbie, trying to decide the best method to get started in IM, it seems to tick all the boxes ( if it does exactly what it says on the tin!). I just wondered if any Warriors had ever heard of him or his Company?

    I haven't heard of him. I'd beware if his sales copy doesn't tell you exactly what you're buying.

    He gives a lot of bullet- points about what the product has to offer - e.g. how to create websites, drive tarffic, create or find products etc etc., but what I meant is that he doesn't give an example on how these are achieved. I suppose this is standard practice for most sales pages - they want you to buy the product to find out what their "system " entails. He is offering a free mini - course as a way of getting you on his list, which I suppose I could have a look at. The trouble is that my in - box is extremely busy with IM related emails, so I try not to subscribe to news -letters etc. too often now, unless I know they are from a reliable source. The website and sales copy look professional, so I just thought I would try this forum to see if anyone had any info on him. I Googled him and came up with nothing.

      Just because a person does have a 'name' doesn't mean his stuff is crap!

      I've bought some pathetic products from so called 'named' marketers over the years.

      But believe about 10% of what you read in any sales letter.

    My QUICK search did not turn up anything negative. I have not personally heard of him before so I can't tell you if his product is any good.

    Are you protecting your on line business? If you have a website, blog, ecommerce store you NEED to back it up regularly. Your webhost will only protect you so much. Check out Quirkel. Protect yourself.

    I've heard of his site from a friend! But,"Even if you're only making £4,999.99 a month I will still give you 3x your money back"?? :confused:
    Although i love to believe in People and i want to believe that more then 12% of sale letters (i've bought crap as well) are true (honesty pays as well and wont ever turns against you) I'm not buying that one! From an angle of someone who lived this "kind of photos life" for more then 30 years, i can tell you that bringing that kind of money, online and offline isn't easy at all although it can be done but it's not granted to everyone as well.
    If you need someone to nourish your dreams, the internet is THE Place you should be but don't be led (especially in the IM niche) by flashi lights. They are everywhere, turns off fast and You will end up far from your dreams. There's a lot of Real lights in this forum for you to follow.. look deeper..

    One thing to consider...

    Usually when someone offers more than the purchase price as a guarantee, there are normally conditions. He does not state any on the site, but that does not mean anything. If he has no conditions, then people would sign up, wait 30 days and apply for the 3x money back. So, if you are considering this, find out the conditions first.

    Even on his REGULAR money back guarantee, he requires that you return the DVD to get it - which means he understands that MANY people will not take this step.

    Again - I don't know him. But this kind of thing is common.
