The title says it all. What is the difference between a Joint Venture and having an affiliate?
Thanks!

A joint venture is when you have a mutual partner in something. Let's say you want to have somebody mail out your offer to their own personal list of subscribers. Now here it may seem like they're just an affiliate if they want a portion of the commissions in return for mailing out to their list. However, a joint venture can run deeper than that. You can decide to mail each other's lists, or get together to work on specific projects.

So let's say I want to create a product of some sort, and I want to address the mindset and motivation aspect of the product, and I want my joint venture partner to address the marketing and sales aspect of the product - assuming of course that this is what the product revolves around.

In the end we build something together, and when it's sold, we split the profits we make. You don't do all these personally involved tasks with an affiliate. You just have an affiliate promote your product and get a portion of the money for doing so.

So a joint venture COULD be an affiliate, but can also be much more.

    I hope that helps.
