Anyone a wealthy affiliate member??

I was checking out the Wealthy Affiliate university. It looks like a good place for newbies to learn affiliate marketing. I checked to forums but could not find any reviews.. Anyone here a member or know anything about this program?

    Hi Deerfarmer,

I'm no longer a WA member so I can't tell you about what Kyle and Carson have added to their site in the last month or so, but personally I left their program after a few weeks because it wasn't doing anything much for me.
Their keyword research software isn't very impressive, and I find that using a WP site is much more powerful than the website builder and template they provide. If you go to a free site like "affiliate-minder" I'm sure you'll get more valuable information (at least I did, and I'm not getting paid or anything to recommend this, it's truly good quality stuff).

If you're looking for a to z guidance there's also Niche Profit Classroom that has a huge section on affiliate marketing, a great new WP template, and a method you can apply to affiliate marketing. It costs about 17$ more than the WA membership though, but I think it's worth it.

    Hope this helps.

Haven't tried WAU. But I think anything that tries to duplicate WP functionality is taking on more than is necessary. WP does the job well. So why reinvent the wheel. There is also the issue of long term maintenance. It will take a lot to maintain such a system over time.

Hey, I was in WA for some months too, but left. They have some good stuff, I won't bash them, but be prepared to stand on your own two feet when you get in there. There isn't alot of hand-holding like I thought there would have been, unless you keep asking and asking and asking on the forum. I suppose if you do, you may get different results from me, but that wasn't my thing. If you don't mind doing your own digging, go ahead. There IS valuable stuff to be learnt. Just don't expect it to be given to you on a silver platter. They may have added stuff to make learning even easier since I left, I can't say. So don't hold me to it. Good luck!

If I have to choose between these two, I would rather go to Wealthy Affiliate. Their system is much easier for any newbie compared to Ken's Site Build It. Not to mention you'll start making sales faster with WA too, since they focus on both PPC or article as traffic source.

I'm a member of Wealthy Affiliate and although I'm experienced, I like the program a lot. I already bought lots of books and join a few membership sites, but WA Dashboard is the easiest to use. If you are newbie, WA is the way to go.

However, once you make thousands, you may cancel your membership and look for more details about PPC or SEO marketing somewhere else like PPC Clasroom.

I don't recommend newbies to learn for free. I was a newbie before and learning for free is somewhat hard - you don't know which way to go, which one work and which one doesn't.

I have been a wealthy affiliate member since April 2007. When I first joined, i was like you very skeptical and even think that the whole internet marketing stuff is scam.

Also, the monthly subscription was something which hold me back for sometime before joining. But compared to ebooks which costs much higher and without much support, I decided to give it a try.

There's a 8 week course where you are taught from "what is all about internet marketing" to "creating your 1st webpage that sells". You are given all the resources and step by step guidance in doing all this and if you need more help, you can turn to the forum for more tips.

It's here that I realize that internet marketing is all about "internet" + "marketing". Internet as a "media" to send your offer before your customer, and the most important part about marketing: "how to persuade your customer to buy what you have to offer?"

Once you understand what marketing is all about, you then proceed to write articles or use ppc to drive traffic to your websites.

Some of the members even get a full time job because they can help companies to get more sales with less investment, getting a much higher ROI. And they themselves practicing their ppc skills using other's people money!!

So for those who really want to build a solid foundation in internet marketing to make a long term and consistent income, do consider wealthy affiliate.

But for those who just want to make a quick buck by "pushing a button" to automate all your campaigns, then Wealthy affiliate is not suitable for you.

Yes, the quick money may excite you for sometime, but when the money stop coming in, you will have to spend money to look for the next "instant-cash" ebook or software.

I have been a member of WA for about 6 months and I must say that I am getting ready to cancel my subscription. I learned a lot from WA but I believe that my growth as a marketer was stunted as a result off all of the information within WA. I have learned just as much on this forum (and made more money from it too). I suggest saving the money and joining the war room... everything you'll ever need to know is in there. Most importantly don't look around for the next great thing. find a plan that you can understand and DO IT! big ups to fellow warrior Jay Deiboldt and his Google Slapper system for finally giving me what I needed to actually start some campaigns and work on them until they made me $. (No I am not an affiliate) I hadn't even thought about WA until I saw this post. Hope this helps

I agree, I was a member for about 4 months. Im not gonna bash it as the other poster said. I joined it as a complete IM dummy and it will teach you everything you need to know about IM but not necessarily enough to actually go out and make money, however I got bored with the 8 week course and learned 10 times from more One Week Marketing. The forum is excellent and so this.

      So its up to you

    Umm...

Wealthy Affiliate doesn't really teach advanced internet marketing strategies, in my opinion.

If you want to make alot of money online, you're going to need to eventually learn some advanced tactics, and put together a gameplan, some sort of blueprint to success, then take action.

I could be more specific, but I don't know what direction you want to go in with affiliate marketing, and even then it would take more than just a post to lay it all out.

I'd say the warrior forum is better.

I am Currently a member of WA, about 9 months now. I have actually landed a job with a great company, partly because of what I learned from being a part of that community, granted it is not the only reason. I do use many resources to learn and have a professional background.
I do have to pay my respects and I can give credit to WA for the education.
Overall for a newbie, it is worth the investment to get your feet off the ground. Real world experience has taught me so much, but like people have said, be prepared you are on your own in WA. Its just like anything in life, you only get out what you put into it. If you follow their program, stay focused and also do your outside homework, it will be worth the investment as a newbie.

It's a well put together site, I was a member for a year but left when I found that I was spending more time on other aspects of Internet Marketing (i.e. not selling affiliate products).

Kyle and Carson had put together a very impressive site and a lot of the training material is valuable. The forum is where I usually ended up, it's good but not as useful as this forum.

Bottom line - well done site but like anything you have to put something into it to get the most benefit from it.

I'm a WA member since 07, and never quit.

I bought many 'get rich' books, where the main secret was to sell the book I just bought.

After landing at WA, I finally understood how the different items in IM are work together, and what you must taking care about in order to make sales online.

I'm not going to give you a review here as warriors could think that I like to promote it. WA has a referral program where you get commissions for a sign up. I see this simply as a logical part of the membership, as it's about affiliate marketing.

So what I will do is telling you what WA is NOT

It's not a "get rich quick" program. As learning resource it focus on teaching you what's Internet marketing.

It's not the main source to make your money. Promoting WA is not the main task after you join. You will learn what's Affiliate marketing, and what it takes to convert a visitor and ultimately, how to get a visitor to your site. Selling ANY product whatsoever.

WA is not the holy grail. Off course there are other places as good as WA, not to forget this Forum. But what's the main point why I recommend it is --- guidance.
If you are new to this you actually have no clue what to do, what will work, and how it works. Without guidance you are like a dead fish in the water.

If you already tryed to get answers over free sources (if you know what to ask) then you know that you will get 10 different directions, and 20 different opinions. So you will end up with a info overload. WA is giving you guidance, a path to walk through from start to the end.

WA is NOT expensive. That's my opinion tough. You get hosting per month, you get a article spinner (one of the best I know), you get per month a full blown niche report with sites and PLR material, you get a website editor (simple, I agree, but for review sites it's OK) and a bunch of other great tools and free reports and books. And a great user forum just like this one.

WA is not for advanced IM's (if not a member yet). As well that's my opinion. You are right if you say that after a certain level, WA isn't that valuable anymore. At that time you know what you need and what works and what not, so picking the raisins is easy and you can win the game over free resources like the WF or similar.

I'm still a member there due to following reasons. First, I simply LOVE it to be in the community there. Second, I have several referrals which I do coach inside WA, so can't just leave. Third, I'm no full time IM (one day maybe?) and need to re-read several stuff as there is a lot to learn. And finally it pays for itself after you have 2 referrals, so why should I quit something which doesn't cost me a thing?

There are several full time IM's around in WA, incl. Travis Sago, Ryan Moran, Justin Brooke, DaveB to mention only a few. To get in as a advanced IM will only make sense if you like to be a coach in there. Provide value and build your group of followers, then you can make money within the community. The basic Forum strategy tough.

So that's it. I think you can join to give it a try, the investment is definitely not a waste. If you like it, stay, if not, take your free bonuses you get access to and quit. That way you will have at least the value of the membership fee in books and PLR material.

I give you a tip. IF you like to join WA, contact the guy at the website you like to sign in
and ask for the special bonuses.
You can get as a free sign up bonus a book which is currently on Clickbank, you can choose between "Who Loves Money", Inside The List", or "Beating Adwords". But you need a special link from someone (perhaps from me?).

      Hope that cleared it out.

I am not but did a ton of research on it and similar programs and found that places like the warrior forum are great for learning the ropes (and free) and a wordpress based site is much more manageable for developing affiliate sites.

I was tempted to join but it seemed the best thing about it everyone touted was the forums which I did not want to pay for.

I was a WA member for 2 months, and I didn't see anything impressive about the forums either. Most of my questions/concerns went unanswered. I searched the forum over for the answer I was looking for, and if I didn't find it, then I would post a thread. There were so many newbies coming in asking the same questions over and over, I guess the experienced got tired of answering anyone's questions.

As for the rest, I don't think it's worth the monthly fee. Sure, you get hosting, but you can only host 3 sites on it at a time. For a smaller fee, you could get set up with HostGator or somewhere similar and host unlimited domains. Site Rubix (their website builder) is pretty awesome, but I wouldn't pay $39/month for it.

The 8 week program, which is the main course, contains info that can be found for free elsewhere, or at least purchased in IM ebooks for a one time fee.

I been a WA member for 3 months now and even I can tell that their content is old and out dated - pretty bad when a newbie can spot that. I dont want to bash but I am disappointed. A member posted a few newbie tutorials in their "spaces" area and I did what the tutorial said, then I asked Carson about it and asked him to take a look at my work, so he did and then he came back to me and said that those tutorials do not work and that I should not use them. Then he removed one of the pdf's. The only thing WA is good for is pushing WA and teaching you how to market WA as a "Super Wealthy Affiliate".

I was in WA for 2 months when I was a complete newbie I didn't get much from it. They give you pieces of the puzzle, but now how to put them together. When you're a newbie you need step by step.

And the other problem is to be an affiliate you have to belong to WA, so if you leave and have done a ton of work promoting a WA site doing all the back linking etc to make affiliate sales then when you leave WA all the work is down the drain. The site is no benefit anymore.

Of course, there are no real reviews or very hard to find a real reviews since all the reviews are bogus to make affiliate sales by WA groupies. Which is what I call them, they live and breath WA.

Then there were the times WA members tried to scam me via PM's.

Anyway, I moved on to the 30 Day Challenge which is free and it is much better. They actually show you what to do with the information they give you, which is novel idea. I also trust Ed Dale way more than the 2 at WA, Kyle and Carson. Those 2 are always coming up with some product to try to push on the members.

I don't believe they're a scam, but I do think the WA stuff is hyped for what they really are and do. That's my 2 cents on WA.

I was a member as a newbie, but honestly all the SERIOUS overload of info got to me...i never did anything w/ any of it, since there was too much...and it confused me very much. I get more info and help here...when i get to a stumbling block, i just "search" for the topic i need help with....and i get it...if its not here yet, i post to get the help I need. The problem I found w/ Wealthy Affiliate is its too much too fast...and they didn't talk much about how to create your own product...duh...i guess since they want you to be affiliates that is one reason why...but also, they pressured us to sell their products and that seems odd...why have a huge community and teach everyone there to sell your product, now we are competing w/ each other, and learning how to do it exactly the same way...so....it was not helpful. I felt like i was being used as THEIR affiliate and if I didn't use their product, i felt a little pressure...

i got not much value out of it, and i had some customer support issues there also, not too happy about, so I don't really recommend them for anyone, if you are new, its too confusing, if you are not new, there is nothing there you need....so where is the market for them? I guess people that want to sell "wealthy affiliate" products...

I tried (with no success) to use their website builder software, full of glitches and bugs and never could FTP it to my site. Also got no value out of the keyword finder, i like google's much better for finding good keywords (which is free).

everyweek it seems they would tell us about another great product they want us to promote for them, their products, and there are no good reviews about their site since all their affiliates (or um...members) are promoting them saying wonderful things...

also, you must STAY a member FOREVER if you want to keep getting your affiliate earning checks that you spent your time and money promoting links for their products, if you are not a member of their site anymore at at a monthly rate of $39 I think it still is....then you get none of the money you spent on getting those sales). That seems like a rip-off in my book.

In the forum, there were a LOT ( I mean a lot) of the same newbie questions, all w/ no answers to them. I like the Warrior Forum much much more, more helpful, and more advanced people here to help guide the newbies.

Like everyone else, I belonged to them for a short time..that is, 8 weeks for the course to finish. And by then, so was I. Too much to see, no one to help you but others that have the same questions etc. Sonni, the exact same thing happened to me, scammed by pm's, and everything I did I had to leave there.

Well I am a newbie at WA, getting very confused within the tutorials although there is a wealth of information great starting place for anyone who does not know a zilch about internet marketing but also found components missing within the tutorials. Would have liked to see more step by step instructions, paying over $400 aus dollars yearly subscription ... As I have read through the posts here and agree with most , there are a lot of newbies everyday asking the same questions and I suppose the more experienced get tired of the newbies, well that's how I feel about it. I am beginning to believe a lot of it is hyped. But they do have a wealth of information as you search through the forums.. easy to get overwhelmed with tutorials (8week tutes) as well as reading forums which is advised to do from the first week of joining...Also found a lot of negativity within the forums which can put a newbie off and make you wonder if you had made a the right investment in joining... I will stick with it and learn what I can for now as well as look around else where hopefully with out investing to much more money. Cheers..

Hi, I'm a current member of wealthy affiliate. Started out in Feb, I made my first sale there 3 days after i joined. I had no idea about it, i just thought id give it a go because i was on summer break from college and was bored AND lost my licence for a year. (get it back in oct thank god)

I actually didn't think i would stick to internet marketing but now im so in love with it, wait i dont know if love is the word i think more curious..yes curious with a passion! I want to figure it out, to me internet marketing is like a rubix cube. At first its so confusing and you feel hopeless, but then as you eventually start taking a few steps you get the hang of it, and eventually you can solve it. Not that you can solve internet marketing but i think you get my picture.

Anyway WA is great for beginners its just like everyone says though...information overload, but the info is all there and its great once you learn to be patient and take it one step at a time. Baby steps to success right?

The forum was fine, didn't get many replies though, but the general success forum was a gold mine.

-Site rubix, hrmm very standard, drag and drop, cant get a really good looking site i think, but its designed for beginners i believe and it does do a good job at it. However it can be quite slow sometimes and thats a drainer.

-The free hosting, you get up to 3 host domains, not bad i havent found a problem with it yet.

Apart from that, i think you will benefit a lot from it if your a beginner. I havent reread what i wrote so i dont no if i made sense or not! but oh well.

Im planning to end my subscribtion soon though after i learn a bit about PPC and that opt in form that everyone is talking bout.

    thats my 0.02c

I was a member there for several months, but I should have left after 2 or 3 months. Their forum had a nice, friendly atmosphere, which was the reason why I ended up staying there longer than I needed. But for learning, WA was not the best place for me.

I agree with most people who said WA is good only for newbies. I also want to add that WA's focus is largely on affiliate marketing by article marketing, so it is definitely not for those who want to learn other types of internet marketing (e.g. website flipping, domain flipping, resell rights, AdSense, eBay, dropshipping, selling on Amazon, etc). They do teach PPC, but it is rather elementary. For learning more advanced aspects of PPC, I had to turn to other resources.

But reversely, for those who are new to IM and want to just focus on article marketing (and don't mind paying $39 per month), WA might be a very good place.

As a newbie 2 years ago, I learn many things from WA, especially what internet marketing is all about. They do teach us on driving traffic using article or ppc but .... the most important thing they teach or breathe about is.......

What makes a visitor decide to buy a product through your website? What went through their mind before making the decision? What are the emotions & feelings your visitor is having when they look at your website?

Sadly, most IM products nowadays is only interested in driving traffic but does not care about the emotions and feelings of a customer who is looking at your website.

Now you know why so many newbies has been mislead to spend thousands of dollars on worthless products and never made a dime for many years!

You should know by now that IM is never about article or ppc, these are just the basic tools to drive traffic to your website..... So if you are still looking for advance aspects of ppc or article, then You have missed the whole point of internet marketing!

I joined Wealthy Affiliate but cancelled after I joined Affiliorama.
Did learn some interesting things from the website and did enjoy the forum they provide.
So I guess if you are new then Wealthy Affiliate could be a good option but also have a look at Affilorama they do provide some interesting articles and free training.

No, I did find elsewhere what I could not find at WA.

But I am not bashing WA. WA is great for some people, and not so great for some others. Like anything else, its value is relative to what each person is looking for. People have different goals, different backgrounds, and different preferences. One thing cannot meet the needs of everybody.

I've been a member at WA for some time now and have to say that it's a top community, especially if you're new to IM.

The forum there is incredibly resourceful, and is filled with very successful Internet Marketers. I'd say the advice given there is paralleled only by the Warrior Forum itself.

Those who didn't have positive experiences I believe failed to grasp what WA is about - the community. It's not the Site Builder, the Share Zone or the Tutorials that make the community valuable, it's the members, and I've made some solid connections through there that I still work on JV's with.

In short, Carl and Carson do a great job keeping the community up to date, and I highly recommend the program, especially if you're still finding your own two feet.

The word "trial" refers to a limited time of 7days in stead of 30. Other then that the short gig is a full access membership.

    Including downloads.

I highly recommend to get the 2 niche specific reports with detailed research data, PLR material etc., they are worth a good piece of money.

Other then that, those 7 days give you the opportunity to get to know WA personally.

Not much time to make money if you are a total Newbie, EXCEPT you take your affiliate link and try to make 2 referrals in that week, what would pay you your monthly fee.

P.S. I use the same nick in WA, easy to find me in the forum

I have been a member of WA for about 7 months just to pick up on any news out there from their forums. They do offer great support, website building and hosting up to 3 sites for the price of the monthly membership. If you know how to manipulate a site builder into a good site, is great for the price.
I know that it is a great place to start, but you will end up doing your own thing after a while.
If you have never been in IM before I would get knowledge from them or any other resource that provides support fro the price, and the price has to fit the picture.
Feel free to give me a yell if you need any answers on WA I might be able to provide some other detailed information.

No they don't host your domain; however, you have the option of using their free hosting. Be careful though once you stop paying for membership you free hosting is gone, which means your website could be as well if you're not careful.

I left WA after seven months. IM never made me a single penny and I wasn't gonna continue to waste time and money on something that isn't going to work for me. They weren't any help for me. There are even some guys in there that act like they don't wanna help you in fear of "more competition".

So save the $40 a month and go find something that DOES work, i.e., site flipping.

I was a Wealthy Affiliate Member. I left because I had other priorities at that time.

Now, many new stuff has been added recently. I don't know the exact details of them.

There were people in the community willing to help a lot, while others were plain jerks. For example, a person (who was respected by many), said that having a PR0 website meant that it was not "indexed". I refuted his claim, but he had a hard time understanding my post. But there were equally good people too.

You can always contact either Kyle and Carson for help. I accept, their replies sometimes are not very detailed (they have a lot of posts to answer), but still, helpful.

It depends on your own dedication. I remember that, following their advice, I had once created a squidoo lens promoting WA. I didn't get any sales. But 4 months after my membership expired, I got a affiliate sale notification. Now that's a funny situation.

Whatever information inside WA does work, if you do ENOUGH of it.

I'm a member and wanted to cancel after my trial, but I forgot. Here's my little review:

        Pro:
        • Good start for an absolutely clueless newbie. You have access to all the tutorials and video from day one (except for the 8-week program, but more on that later)
        • Its like the facebook/myspace for IM. Lots of people to network with
        • Its similar to this site. You can place ads for work that you need done and place bids on projects.
        • The templates are not horrible. I don't really care for them, but they are not bad for someone who doesn't have anything already.
        • There is a lot of tools at your disposal.
        • NicheQ is very good and thorogh. Its a good start for someone to get into the niche. I picked the pet theme and there's so much info, which I'd definately use to jumpstart my niche site.

        CONS:
        • *$49 monthly fee! Its expensive, especially when you have $0 money coming in! You do have the option to pay yearly, which brings down the price a bit.
        • You lose your commissions if you quit. Which isn't really fair. They say its fair because you are not competeing against nonmembers as well as members - but nuts to that! If I work on promoting something, I want my money!
        • I don't care for the templates they give you. They are very limited. If you do use them, you'll have a site similar to the other 1000s or however many members WA has.
        • They have iframe websites you can use. See above comments about that.
        • There are bunches of upsells. They have 'university level' accreditation. You'd have to pay a seperate fee to get these. There's PPC and something else. YOu get their ebooks, though. But depending how you joined or any other offer you may already have those.
        • The 8 week course is the main draw (for me, that is) but it is soo slow. If you have read about affiliate marketing anywhere else, the first week and maybe the second are complete wastes of time. You can't work ahead beause you don't have access to it. For one thing it is a good way to get $100 worth of membership fees out of someone who is determined to finish the course before canceling,
        • The forums are not very helpful to me. I've searched and I found tons of unanswered posts and questions.
        • The success forum doesn't seem that successful. When I looked, a good majority of the people were saying stuff like "After months of doing this I finally made a sale!" I'm happy for those people, but wow. Maybe I'm just used to people hyping their success on other forums.
        • Some of their free tools can be found elsewhere. Well, I'm not sure about all of them. Theres one epecially that mimicks CB-analyitcs or whatever the sites callled.

Well, that's it. I'm canceling my membership this month. But I'm promoting WA so I can get my money back. Its a good site with a good idea, but as you can see from my list, I have more CONs than PROs. So, it's not a good fit for me, personally.

Right now, like someone else in this thread, I'm looking at AffiloRama or someone's blueprint WSO. But, I have my eyes on the War Room.

I agree with embrown about the pros and cons. I canceled after 2 months. I was undecided just before 1 month is up and then it was too late to cancel. The first 3 weeks of the 8 week action plan are good for newbies, after that not much useful materials. I also don't like the fact that they push members to be super WA affiliates. In the success forum, you often see new members post that they just have the first WA sale. And I'm thinking 'Is the purpose of WA to teach people to promote WA?'

I too was a member for a couple of months but thought that prolonging the membership would not be beneficial.
I found the 8 week course informative and worthwhile for a complete beginner - as I was at that time - but in common with some comments on here, I found the guidance about what to do with the new found knowledge lacking. When you first start out some 'hand holding' (mentoring) is usually required and it was that aspect that was lacking with WA. I was also disappointed with their seeming obsession for pushing their own products and indifference about whether their charges are successful or not.
Maybe I am being a bit unfair with this review but at least it is my honest opinion.

I can't believe I've finally found some honest feedback on the WA program. I'm a fairly clever searcher, but every single link I could find in every search engine lead me to someone's completely bogus page trying to sell the WA program.

Most of them resort to misleading surfers into thinking they are headed to a website specializing in reviewing money-making programs, when in reality, they do no such thing. They are so blatantly dishonest in the approach, I'm surprised that someone more clever hasn't managed to get an actual review somewhere in the top 10 google hits (or even the top 1000). It's absolutely unreal.

It's obviously nothing but a very thinly veiled pyramid scheme to sell the "program", which in turn, lures users into doing nothing other than trying to sell it to others.

I joined them when I started internet marketing.
I think it is ok when you start to learn the basics of internet marketing but I think most of the information they have in the course is freely available on the internet.
I have actually learned more in the Warrior Forum and decided to join the War Room.
The war room is a great place considering it is less than a months subscription at Wealthy Affiliate and it is a once off $37 for a lifetime membership.
I also bought myself Market Samurai for $87 when it was on promotion with the money I saved by cancelling my membership.

I have been a member there since January 1 and it has really made a big difference in my progress in learning how to deal with SEO and article marketing (so far.) I would not be anywhere near as far as I am now if I hadn't joined. It's huge and more complete than most I've seen, a couple of which I've actually joined. Though I've seen that there is really nothing there that gets very advanced, it certainly has something for everyone starting out.

It's true much of the information on there can be found for free, that's true for a lot of online information. Although it's possible to get lost on the website it's better than trying to find things on the entire Internet! Not knowing any better, I found and attempted to apply old information to my earlier IM endeavors. My problem with the free approach is:

          1. I'm new at it and may not even know what to look for. Try putting a puzzle together which contains pieces that don't even belong to it!
          2. Searching, sometimes in circles, is a time-waster. That's about a year and a half for me!
          3. Risk of relying on dated, useless, or incomplete information that comes up in the searches. Led to a program I actually purchased which was a total waste of money!

My assessment of Wealthy Affiliate is that it helps newbies like me get their feet wet in most of the marketing methods in common use and provides more than enough proven and up-to-date information in each training module that helps people begin making money. Dynamic as it is, it's also a safe investment. It's all in one place. Finding WA was like finding an oasis in the desert.

it's interesting to read from some of the posts here. I understand that some people quit WA after a month of joining.

It seems to me that they are going for the "instant cash machine" solution. The fact that WA has so much to learn proves to be too much for some people.

Many people don't understand that internet marketing is the same as doing
any type of business, it takes time to build up this business and you got
    to build your foundation strong.

As a member since Apr 2007, I'm not concern how much money i have
made but it is the learning process that i'm focusing on. If I know why my
customers want to buy a certain product or services, I will make
    money.

And I can kiss goodbye to those ebooks, paid keyword tool, software, and
those nonsense because I know what my customer
really wants. It's an Art and you need time to perfect this skill,
you can't simply get it by buying some ebooks or software.

I was a member of WA for about a year but I also quit in January. I wasn't getting anything additional out of it. It is good for people who are new to affiliate marketing but why pay $30 - $50 a month for that when you can get all the information right here for free. I don't have anything bad to say about them but I was getting more here and it wasn't costing me anything. Their forum was where I spent most of my time and this forum offers so much more.

    yeah! way to go WA-ers!

personally i thought joining WA will make me a millionaires in 3 months. i was indeed wrong. how stupid i was.

I must credit WA for being humble and true to its value. WA really teaches you IM, the white hat way. And since it is not overhyped, people tend to think it is not that good.

I guess for those who are looking for the next shining thing, they can always hang out during product launches.

If you are ready to be a real rich marketer, like Ryan Moran, Jennifer Ledbetter aka PotPieGirl, Marcus Cox, Travis, Justin Brooke, you can join them at WA! hahaha...

I will look at alternatives now as the general theme of this thread is there are better alternatives out there. I must say, the best thing I have done is found the warrior forum and I feel very fortunate I have found it before Ive signed up too any programs. Its very difficult to find impartial, non - biased reviews of programs like WA over the net.

Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts on WA. As a complete newbie, I was about to join this program as I thought it would be the ideal place to start.

        Cheers Wilco
It is a good place to start. Even if you can't get success with it, this program is very useful. You'll see the direction right away.

Warrior is good also, but it's not easy to find the right direction here, especially when you are a beginner. Threads here are discussing different ways to do internet marketing and make money online. - CPA, Adsense, Affiliate, selling eBook, SEO and Adwords. It's quite confusing when I first started.

I joined Wealthy Affiliates after getting recommendations from the Bum Marketer. I was not at all impressed when I was able to get into the site. It was kind of very basic - nothing that I could not get from the forum either for free or with a little research.

Within the first few days I wanted my $39.00 back and was told they did NOT give refunds. I thought this was an error... Who doesn't guarantee their product. But that is the response I received. Did not see the value in continuing this membership at over $400/yr.

I finally knew the real reason why people want to do internet marketing.... they want to make money fast and get rich quick!

And best of all, do the least amount of work like "pushing buttons", going
    to ATM and withdraw money!

If you just look at the rich and famous, all of them have just one point in common,

They Do What Others Don't Do!

They spent a great deal of time to do things what others hate or lazy to do.

I hate to say this but 97% of the products out there are misleading! Why?

because they only focus on the product and ways to drive as much
traffic as possible to the website... but they don't teach you a simple
    thing....

"Why A Person Wants To Buy A Product?" You cannot get the
answer from those worthless products. Until you can figure out
that answer, you will not make a single cent....

seo, ppc, black hat, white hat will not give you a sale....

But Knowing what a person wants will make you very rich.....

If someone were to ask who is easier to succeed in internet marketing,
I will say people with the sales / marketing background.... Because they are constantly
finding out what people really are hungry for and they just give it to them....

I was a WA member for 6 months. WA is not a bad deal if your totally clueless and new to IM. To me the WA forum is a little bit less intimidating for newbies than the WF. People almost always answered my questions quickly and many times in a way that was easy for a newbie to understand.

The big marketers like Travis Sago and Pot Pie Girl are very active in the forum and are quick to answer very basic questions. I do understand that they are making a boatload on WA affiliate commissions but they do respond with genuine kindness.

The free tools are really nothing special but when your new and learning it's kind of nice to have everything in one location. The pitch page is misleading about the one on one coaching from Kyle and Carson. They will answer PM's but the taking you by the hand stuff is pure nonsense.

I was with them for around 6 months and although I am not new to IM and was not at the time either. I did not care for it I thought it was a wastye of money for me personally ! I just used the forum to help folks out but was impressed but I did meet and make some good friends there. But it is not the best IM training in my opinion. If you are looking for IM traing I suggest Jeremy And Dons IM Bootcamp they are the best value one time payment and show you what to do from start to scaling and everything between. Good Luck

Was a member for a month and then left running. Too much info, too much tied to that place, to scattered all over the place. As a newbie I was so overwhelmed, I almost left IM just because of that place. Unsubbed from WA and never looked back...
I then found WF which is free and you find here everything you need to start out.

I was a member for 6 weeks. WA encourages not to utilize all methods of IM. Master one by one to avoid being overwhelmed. So I decided to concentrate with PPC and I followed the PPC training to the T.
Within a 2 weeks of doing PPC I lost $210 so I quit WA.
Nevertheless, I gained a lot in relation to article marketing which I use to this day. WA is a good start for newbie, but the road will be long and bumpy.

It's a great place to start your Internet Marketing education, but you better go in knowing its going to take some time and effort to get through all the material.

I was a member, but I cancelled my membership. The info and services are really good, but I just don't have the time to devote to it. I am so busy working and building CB preadtor web site. I do want to join again within the next few months. The membership is worth the cost if you really utilize their tools and training. I just have clients that depend on me so I am stuck doing a lot of work for them. This leaves little time for anything else right now. Once my other sites start making money I want to go back to WA.

You can also do a search on Google and find information on any topic in Internet marketing. But, to me it's a waste of time.

If you want you step-by-step information that's organized and all in one place, with help from other members, then Wealthy Affiliate is where it's at.

Truth is WA is awesome for the beginner, as it allows you to sample a lot of proven strategies before buckling down to one specific one (kinda like 1st year of college me think!!)

I have been getting messages about that too. I have looked into them again, it appears that they have added a fair bit since i was a member a couple years ago. Plus there is word of some service being added (probably around launch of new price structure) that is supposed to cost $197/month elsewhere. I didn't find anything 'wrong' with the service when I was a customer, but with what ever new services are being added (anyone know anything about Niche Q) I wonder if it is worth it to check it out, at least for a month, in case its worth locking into the lower price.

I was a member at WA for a year and canceled it about six or eight months ago when I joined the war room. WA was okay for a beginner, but the forums (which was supposed to be the heart and strength of WA) had tons of unanswered questions and single-post threads. Whenever I had questions, I'd search the forums first and would find more unanswered questions than answered ones. I think I posted on the forums a total of 10 times and only three times did anyone post a reply which was very discouraging. I couldn't justify paying $39/mo any longer so I can't imagine paying $99/mo when the war room is a lifetime endless bounty of affiliate info.

I joined again just recently. I was a member years ago and I thought it was pretty good then. A lot has been added and some stuff that was there before still is, such as CB research a keyword research tool, the forums, job board, site rubix, hosting, etc. New stuff that I have been checking out are the niche q packages and rapid writer tool.
I know much of the training that is there is more applicable to newbies, but there is some pretty handy tools for the seasoned affiliate marketer too.
