How many sites do you run, including blogs, affiliate, store front, etc.? How many is too many to manage alone, in your opinion?

Wrong section, but many people are able to manage up to 200+ sites at one time. For adsense purposes.

That is quite a big number. I'd imagine that they are mostly affiliate sites. (I didn't know where to post this.) Thanks for the response, though.

I run 3 sites. Usually a person can manage not more then 5 sites according to my understanding. If they have fast ability & vast working skills than maybe they can go for unlimited number of sites.

It really depends on the type of site and the model you are using.

Here is an example of what I mean.
    1. Example Site The Science of Getting Rich FREE ebook: Technical Tips for Downloading & Printing they sell an ebook, that page hasn't changed in years from what I can tell, same ebook, they have added an affiliate program maybe a few other little things but this type of site does not require a shitload of maintenance. They are selling one single product and that's it. They do have a forum but for the most people its self generating content from the people that visit and make comments, post threads, etc. You could create 10 more of these types of sites and after the site is built just focus on promotion, there is very little new content if any being generated.

    2. Example Site Blog Tips to Help You Make Money Blogging - ProBlogger they have an authority blog, they continually produce content on a frequent basis, the recommend products, they choose to be a voice in the industry. You won't be able to manage more than 1 or 2 of these authority type blogs successfully because of the sheer amount of content being generated we haven't even mentioned what SEO/marketing activities you would need to keep up with.

I just gave you 2 examples but going into multiple sites can be wasted effort if you don't know what your doing and you don't have everything in place, monetization, promotion, content update schedule, etc. For anyone just starting out I would always suggest just focus on one site. Formulate your system and then you can branch out and build additional sites.

I have about 50 websites of various types...

My content is not always flowing regularly on all of the blogs, but I do handle customer service and new features without delay. Most of my money making websites are completely automated aside from occasional questions or membership tweaks.

I think it is more relative to how much time you have at your disposal to manage said websites.

Unlimited, if you do it right. Which means: setup a site and your sales process the right way, monetize the site with products (your own or affiliate offers), drive traffic to it. If it makes you $1,000, start the next site. If you use blogs, they need to be updated with new content on a very frequent basis, at least 3x per week. So it can be a lot of work. Unless you outsource, which you can do or consider after it generates enought money, If you do: Squeeze Page (builid a list), Youw Own Thank You For Optin Page (Thank You for your interest, please check your mail to confirm your subscription + one product offer) and Download Page After They Confirmed List Signup (free report + 3 product offers), using autoresponder emails and driving traffic to your site, you don't need to do much after the site and autoresponder email sequenze is setup.

But always follow the rule to first monetize the site and get the desired results, before starting a new project. Buying PLR turnkey websites and get them all live at the say day or week is not how it works, apart from the fact that it remains to be seen if these kind of sites can make you money.

It can be fairly easy to manage 200 sites, whilst sometimes a single website can be impossible to run all by yourself. (it really depends on what you're doing/business model).

If you are just taking websites/online business as a passion or part of life I just say 2-3 are many. But if you are putting a life onto it then there is no limit. For example you may take google, it has created gaint SE,youtube, android, chrome, translator, maps, and various projects but it is going on and on.

I have about 60. About half (33) are full on sites that pay all my bills. The other half are little guys like blogs and little 3 page sites that are mostly there for SEO purposes with some traffic thrown in on the side.

Limitless. You need your presence to be felt so it means running as many as possible.
