Just wanted some recommendations for a live chat service? I have a website where I would like to be able to engage with my customers to help make more sales and to provide better customer service.

We are also using Zopim for all of our stores and it has been pretty great so far! There is a free version, so if you aren't handling to many customers, that will be enough for the start.

  Depends on what features you want. Some things to think about:
  a) Did you want to run the chat server yourself, or have it hosted?
  b) What computer OS are you running the operator console on? Did you need locally-installed software, or prefer web-based?
  c) How many operators do you need simultaneously allowed to monitor a site?
  
  Some providers offer downloadable server software; others are hosted. Ask around, check out a few 'free trials', and see what works best for you.

Zopim is a great tool for Live Chat. It actually delivers you messages offline as well to your email and analytics is useful. I have used it and I feel good about it.

Right now i am using Olark, and i can say that it is really good, the chat has no delays. You can really save a customer sale when using a live chat services like Olark.
