WP Enlighten Sales Letter Plugin by Jason Fladlien

I'm still waiting for a proper sales page so I can compare features to other popular platforms like OptimizePress, ProfitsTheme and Instabuilder. Lately, I've also seen Leadpages which is very impressive.

One thing I didn't catch...Does it setup squeeze pages or landing pages? Or will I need to buy their separate WPSqueezePro product to truly have a complete platform?

Hi Perez,

I think WP Enlighten only build sales pages. Because from the beginning of the webinar, Jason mentioned Sales Pages are the most valuable compared to Squeeze Pages, Facebook Pages, and Blogs.

hi Wolfster,

From what I heard on the webinar, I think is some sort of cloud service where you can save the templates to your own private cloud and import them to your other websites in 1 click. Also, there's a public cloud where Jason can 'push' his new themes to you.

It costs 19.95/mth for early birds and $29.95/mth in future.

Thanks for the info, orebian. I really hate monthly subscriptions!! But I will have to evaluate it if and when I buy. My main worry is that, however great it may be, there will probably be something out that is much better within a few months or less. It just seems to be the way things are nowadays.

You're welcome. The upsell is completely optional, I believe you can still work on the plugin without the cloud.

However, I did not purchase though... it's out of my budget.

OK. From what I see, WP Enlighten plugin enables anyone to create "Jason Fladlien's style sales letters" in a short amount of time. I'm no expert in this... Hopefully some experts here can provide some insight.

I attended the WP Enlighten webinar. Two things upset me:

the webinar overran its time slot by a lot and viewers were frustrated by this, including me. Jason is very good at time management but did not respect viewers time.
the software is liscensed and the liscenses are expensive compared to alternatives available

There is also a rumour that this was developed in partnership with Metodi and is the promised upgrade to WP Sales Engine. I don't know how true this is but certainly the page templates are not dis-similar. Metodi will upset his former clients if this is the promised upgrade.

Looks a nice piece of software, and I like Jason & Wil a lot, but I think the pricing is wrong on this one and will give it a miss because I already own Instabuilder, Optimize Press and WP Sales Engine and this software looks expensive in comparison.

You really don't need more than one!

I started with OP (which is a theme) and bought the other two relatively cheaply. Instabuilder first - I thought the fact that it is a plugin rather than a theme, might be useful. It also has a number of nice features that OP doesn't.

I bought WP Sales Engine at a knock down price to use on a clients site as I did't have developers rights on the other two.

(At the end of the day, it's the value of your offer and copywriting skill that is more important than having some slick software!)

I kinda agree with the pricing part. I guess this is how the experts charge once they're "quite old" in the industry. (But WP Enlighten did impress me really much)

I noticed that Metodi's salespage went awol the past few months with no buy button. Why would the IM market's first sales page plugin author pull down his site for no apparent reason while in the middle of an upgrade?

And Jason is famous for re-packaging other people's products into simpler solutions for market-wide appeal.

I'm off to put on my aluminum hat.

I'm personally curious to see what OptimizePress 2.0 will look like.

I own many Rapid Crush products, but left the replay after 15 minutes of not knowing what it really did and saw 2.5+ hours more on the webinar. I need the 2 minute warning overview of the product to give it further consideration.

Yea. It was a lengthy presentation. However, you may watch the 11-min demo video at YouTube where Jason went through the features of WP Enlighten using a WordPress site.

From a letter I recveived fro Metodi, wp-sales-engine will no longer be updated because of his partnership with Fladlien's new plugin.
From the video demonstration, I like better wp-sales-engine.
Plus, the cost of wp sales engine is down.

A lot of people are buying it. It does serve a purpose. It allows non technical people the ability to create a sales page themselves in an easy to use method whilst not having to change their blog theme.

The cost of someone getting a designer to do this for you could run into hundreds so it isn't too expensive.

At the end of the day I can see a need for a product like this and I feel the pricing is fine.

Are there better solutions on the market?

Maybe but I don't need a sales letter software personally. I have the ability to totally customize wordpress. Creating a sales page is real simple to me. There are however many this task would be too difficult.

I do miss Jason's traditional products. His early ones. His focus on speed was a game changer for me.

@ orebian, SalesPress Pro is a great option and easier to use than Profit Themes but I am not sure how SPP compares to Optimize Press. Some blokes I know have both SPP and OP and reckon that SPP has some extra features...

I haven't tried SalesPressPro and ProfitThemes yet. From the demo I see, SPP has some really cool looking templates. Hopefully, the new version of OptimizePress will have that soon!

I have WP Sales Engine and if this is the upgrade and we have to purchase it again...not nice and not something I'll do. AS far as a cloud to drop things on...have many of those already and not interested in paying yet again for another one, but that's my .02. It looks pretty and I use WPTwin so love Jason's stuff already.

I saw a bit of that webinar and I am still struggling to understand what his theme can do that other Themes cannot. Yes, his theme seems to be a lot simpler and seems to save time but how many of us have a ton of salespages?

And I am not even sure how useful this will be for people selling products outside the IM niche where the average prospect is not always exposed to the same type of salespage.

Why would you want to invest in a theme that has a monthly cost to it?

I think WP Enlighten is cater more for those marketers that want to take their sales letters to the next level... (to be unique and stand out from the rest :rolleyes: )

At the end of the day, the offer is still the most important even you have only a simple looking sales letter.

The monthly cost is for the upsell of their cloud service. The plugin itself is a one time investment (1-year support).

Review: I am still evaluating it, but my impression so far is pretty good. It is, though, probably overkill for anyone already pretty comfortable with designing a sales letter. For those who are not, it should serve to get you past some of the technical hurdles and give you fewer excuses for procrastination. Even for some who are already comfortable doing it, it may speed things up a tad ... especially if you have been putting off putting up a lot of sales pages you know you really should. However, anyone with the technical know how often demands complete control of the layout and design anyway. So if you're in that league, you probably shouldn't bother.

Thought I'd quickly jump in...

I bought WP Enlighten but installing it is still on my new year's to-do list, but here's how it differs from OP and Instabuilder (and complements them) as I understand it.

Firstly it is important to understand it is not a theme, but a plugin, so it can be used with any theme.

Secondly, it will co-exist happily with other plugins like Instabuilder, so it's not a case of either/or. it provides features that Instabuilder and OP lack.

For me, one of the most important (which I don't think anyone has mentioned in this thread) - is that WP Enlighten is RESPONSIVE.
