The Official Eben Pagan Thread

Hello there! My name is MaxTheMarketer and thank you very much for reading this post.

I am little bit strange as a human being because I never was a huge fan of any moviestar or artist as young, and I am still not.

People I actually "idolize" are certain scientists (Robert B. Cialdini, Desmond Morris, Jared Diamond, Tal Ben-Shahar) and one marketer, and this thread tells you who this is, namely, Eben Pagan! ^^,

I have gone through some of his products and they have literally changed my way of thinking about life and marketing.

I find him to be the most honest marketer out there, although I agree that some affiliates he is working with may not be the most legit out there.

Sometimes he also works with the "dark side" (haha I have played too much Star Wars by now) as it tempts him to earn fast cash when times are tough and slowly growing for the better.

I also find Eben Pagan to walk his talk; what he teaches you, he also uses in his own marketing which is evident in the way he teaches things, how he markets himself as David DeAngelo in the (world-leading?) dating advice for men niche.

However, as any blind person is when they "idolize" someone; what are your thoughts about him?

Do you know any "dirty" stories that might give me more than just the glorifying perspectives I just put him into by telling you how much I "idolize" him as a role model and as "someone who changed my life"?

I completely understand if "gossiping" is not something to promote, but see it as "more perspectives" instead so sharing some "negativity" about him might shed light on the importance of critical thinking in the realm of internet marketing as an industry and practice! ^^,

Thank you very much for reading this, let's make this a productive thread now, let's work with 60-90 minutes blocks of time! ;-P

Take Care & Have An Awesome Weekend, Fellow Warrior(s)! / Max "MaxTheMarketer" K.

This video is what inspired me in internet marketing and personal areas of my life as well.

By right it should not be free Youtube video but part of his Guru Mastermind coaching program.

For the information he gives is worth MILLIONS.

its good to admire the achievements.. and learn from them.. but keep them in thier place..

    Skunkworks: noun. informal.

A clandestine group operating without any external intervention or oversight. Such groups achieve significant breakthroughs rarely discussed in public because they operate "outside the box".

So right. Eban does not do it for me. I am very busy in my offline profession , and prefer outsourcing time consuming tasks or automating them. I like to implement and test quickly, don't think that is his approach.

I like him for his success. I wanted to try his coaching program, but honestly not super big on the idea of selling solos day to day. Something about that idea just doesn't sit right with me, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work really well!!

He seems like a nice guy and knows exactly where he fits in.

Yes completely agree here. Men are all equal and succumb to the same things everyone does. Celebrate their successes and such but when people are built up to be "idolized" their inevitably comes a fall...Just look at Tiger Woods and Lance Armstrong just to name a few

He was often seen with Ross Jeffries back in the day -- the influence of the Tom Cruise character in the movie Magnolia.

He moved on to write his own wide selling ebook on pickup and propagated the term "cocky comedy / cocky funny" and "attraction is not a choice." His dating products were actually pretty big events -- he'd gather a dozen "dating coaches" together for a series of seminars and film it. This led to his stream of info products from which I assume he made most of the early money.

He was in the book The Game of course, in which he came across pretty good.

I've seen about 70% of his products I guess. Some were better than others. I didnt get much out of the business education side of his company. But I didn't pay much attention to it.

He's on the Salty Droid's website. There might be some dirt on him there. I always though he was pretty legit though.

Haha, I have never heard of "Salty Droid" and their slogan says it all why I should not hang there: "... you can't make money online."

I know there are big "scammers" out there in the sense that they make lots of money by making people buy "poop in a box"-products (crap in other words).

In the dating advice world there is a similar forum "puahate" that posts pictures of male models and say how they are very sad that they do not look like this.

These are examples of LIMITING BELIEF THINKERS who have extreme beliefs and I highly recommend you do NOT hang at those kinds of forums and/or blogs.

Yes, it is good to sniff out a scammer, but you cannot take things to an extreme and have "everything is a scam and everyone is a scammer"-mindset.

Fun website to check out once in a lifetime though! ^^, I will never check that website again though, too much hate

OT: Thanks to my mild Asperger Syndrome I have always had "problems" with being a "follower" of "leaders/dominant individuals" and that's great, because then I can lead people instead! :-)

There's something no one can deny. He was the first guy smart enough to realize those lonely basement dwellers on usenet, learning and teaching others how to succed in dating (aka prehistoric PUA scene), were sitting on a goldmine. He kinda created the "dating-self-help" niche as we know it today, no doubt. The guy introduced the concept of list building and implemented it with swift precision, way before it was the uproar it is today on the IM scene.

Thus it became an industry on its own right. And no doubt the guy made a killing, cause he got there first and it was him who brought most of the other dating gurus in. The guy found the right product for a hungry market, then acted on it, and that my friends, is the actual recipe for success.
