Anyone successful use Kaspersky on windows 8?

My opinion is this is the worst antivirus software ever.

It has caused numerous problems such as turning off my wireless, causing error messages, and crashing my computer. Also removed my restore points on my computer so I cannot even do a system restore. And removed a bunch of programs.

Been using Kaspersky for years in an enterprise environment with no problems. Workspace is a bit different from the normal home user edition however.

The problems you describe, sound more like the symptoms of malware vs AV problems.

I've heard its supposed to be the best at detecting viruses, but when I tried it, I didn't like it.

I used Avast for ages, but recently started using the microsoft windows defender because it also caused me a few problems too. I took that on, because I reasoned if they don't know how to work with Windows 8, nobody will....

I think viruses in general have to dig themselves deep into a system, so that they cannot be exploited, which can cause these problems.

They need to take over certain aspects of the operating system to be able to intercept the viruses.
