What it is the best webcam to use to make You Tube videos?

Are you sure you need an actual webcam?

A digital camera does the same and more and offers a lot more too due to it's onboard features and portability.

A digital camera also doubles as a webcam (sat on a mini tripod that cost a few Dollars).

I perfectly agree with Daniel.

You can buy a DSLR camera or rent one and then make videos.

The video quality will be much much better as compared to webcams.

Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 is a good camera I have used for video recording.

The iphone isn't too bad for starters.

You can get a decent $30-$70 webcam at your local electronics store too.

I would agree with Logitech.
I've had good results with that in the past, but these days would prefer to use either the camera from a Smartphone, the built in laptop camera or a dedicated camcorder.

On amazon, they have video reviews that you can watch that are done with the actual cameras for sale. Logitech seems to have some nice ones at good prices.

It is used to Transfer graphical images via the internet so Are build for low quality in order to send the data fast. That's all a webcamera is built for.

But if you want to make an HD video for youtube, You'll have to buy a HD higer megapixel camera to get a high quality graphics. it is that simple.

These cameras are pretty expensive but when there is quality, there is money.

There are lots of good cameras that you can manage from your web browser which are very easy to use because they don't depend on your OS. The only thing that you need is your IP port and ip itself to get access to your camera. Yep I'd go with the Logitech HD cam as well. Great quality for about $100.

Logitech may be good. You can take a look on it, if you want. If you go to a shop, they will show you many items with its rate. Then you will able to choose which you want. Thanks a lot.

If not you can pick up a good digital camcorder from Walmart.

Look at the camera I'm holding in my profile image. I got that one from Walmart for $70 bucks.

I use Logitech C920 which is great for its price - I've seen gov. agencies use it for passport photos and stuff so it's legit.

MOST youtubers use an actual camera. Sony being the prefered company, Cannon the second choice. After that cellphones are the #3 choice. I've yet to find a top rated youtuber (4million+ subscribers) who uses a webcam.

Go to YouTube, search for the youtubers with the most views, then search their channel for their "what I use to make videos with" video. Every one of them are using one of the above (yes, even PewDiePie).

So far I have watched more then 400 of the top rate youtubers "what I use to make videos with" video, and every time the answer is the same: Sony camera, Cannon camera, or cellphone. Every time they give the reason being the need to plug a microphone in and those are the ONLY ones you can plug a microphone in.

Look for 2 things:

1: front screen or flip screen, so you can see the screen WHILE you are recording (learned that the hard way)
2: microphone jack/plug so you can plug a microphone into the phone/camera (also learned that the hard way)

Remember: the LENS is more important then the camera. You can buy any cheap $100 Cannon camera, don't matter, because they all fit the lenses. What you want to spend money on is the lens, which most youtube quality lenses are around $500 (uhm, if you don't know camera prices, a $500 lens is beginner starter level - hobbyist range lens are around $2,000 and professional grade lenses are around $10,000... just so you know what you are getting into when you start dealing with changing out lenses. - my partner is a professional photographer - his prefered "mid range go to lens" cost $5,000)

REMEMBER: You do NOT have to be stuck sitting in front of the laptop to record your videos.

Using a webcam limits your videos drastically, by forcing you in front of the laptop.

A camera is heavy on your arm if you start recording longer videos. While a cell phone (which you likely already have) fits easily in your hand or on your selfie stick, and can record any place, any time... often with a good enough microphone to get started without a separate one (though you'll definitely want to upgrade)

If you want to do PewDiePie style gaming videos, then you need a software program that records your desktop game play AND a camera (cellphone) on a stand recording your face, at the same time. Then you need a software program that allows you to cut the two clips together on top of each other. (Plan on spending 8 hours of editing per 15 minutes of finished video if you are doing these picture in picture gaming style videos)

Do you have a cell phone that has a video filming camera?

If yes, I'd say, buy a Joby Gorilla Pod for it (the small $20 one, with the cell phone holder top - not the camera screw top - google it if you don't know what that means, there are lots of videos and articles out there about it.)

Next buy a lapel clip microphone that plugs into your phone.($5 to $10)

Next, buy a selfie stick. ($5 to $10)

Next buy some velcro ($1 - $3) - put the grips on the dash of your car and the loops on the legs of the gorilla pod

Put gas in your car. Put your camera/phone on the gorilla pod and put it on the dash. Angle it so, your face shows up on one side and the rest of the screen is capturing the view out your driver's side window as you drive. Now, drive around your home town and record yourself talking about your life, your town, local history, maybe review the restaurants you eat at, drive by 7/11 and talk about why you shop there...

Now look for other video you can make - record yourself reading, playing video games, shopping, cooking, painting, sewing, working on your car, changing a tire, planting roses, whatever... what do you like to do? Just do it and record yourself doing it.

Then, put the videos up on youtube. Be sure to tag them properly (don't spam tag). Link to any social networks (facebook, twitter, etc) that you have in the description of each video and tweet every video after uploading it so you followers find it.

It's something anyone can do... heck, if you have a phone that records video, you can start out with just that and nothing else, then add more equipment later as you need to.

I did this in March 2016 - I had made $31.18 by April 2016, not much no, but a pretty good start for pretty much not doing anything, with next to nothing for start up money. As of today (May 11, 2016) I have got 49 subscribers and am averaging about 70 views a day, across 138 videos uploaded since March 30, 2016.

Question: have you ever uploaded a youtube video? If not: TIP - don't spend a lot of money on film equipment. Any cell phone with video ability will record youtube quality video. Instead - buy the best MICROPHONE you can buy. Plan of spending $100 to $200 on a microphone with GOOD ENOUGH quality to be heard on youtube (other wise you'll be spending hours, close captioning your videos, simply because the sound can not be heard.)

If you've already uploaded videos, then you have already learned you need to buy the high quality mic. It's the first lesson you learn youtubing: get the expensive mic, use it on any old cheap cell phone camera.

I have two cameras I use to make my videos. I have the Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam ($75 at Best Buy) when I am sitting in front of the computer making videos of myself just talking, and for my green screen videos I use the Canon Vixia HF R600 camcorder ($200 on Amazon).

One thing about the Logitech webcam, though, is that the built in mic is not great, so you'll want to pick up an external mic. For that I use a Logitech headset (not sure of the model at the moment as it's in the other room).

As far as the Canon camcorder, I don't believe they make that exact model anymore, but they make a newer one which is very similar and just a little bit more money.

Most people are getting away from digital camcorders and using DSLR cameras now, though. Also, if you are going to get a camcorder, be aware that most Sony consumer camcorders do not have an external mic jack, so you cannot hook up an external mic to it and you are pretty much stuck with the built in mic quality. One of the major reasons I went with the Canon Vixia series is that you can hook up an external mic, although the built in mic on that one is not too bad.
