Please recommend: Tracking, heatmaps, etc.

I hope I'm posting this in the right section.
I'm trying to create a professional marketing funnel for some of my products and I realize how to make most of the traffic I buy I need to be able to measure everything that happens.
I'm a pretty technical guy, but I do like to keep monthly costs low, so I don't really want to spend $1500 / year on the cheapest package of KissMetrics, not to mention Infusionsoft. At least not at this point.
I have a license to Interspire Email Marketer. I'm good with OP. And I have google analytics installed everywhere. But I don't think that's going to cut it.
Now to the question:
My traffic sources are going to be PPC, clicks from emails and whatever other ways affiliates use to drive traffic to my sales pages.
I'm looking for the most effective and cheapest way to set up a tracking system that measures everything I need to measure and is as professional as it gets, including heatmaps, split testing and everything else that I'll need.
Now the only problem is I've never done this or learned this before, so I'm wondering:
- Is there any book or information product out there that teaches how and what I want to measure, how and what do I want to analyze and what are the right conclusions to come to?
- What would be the best combination of softwares to use for tracking throughout my funnels? I'd like to ask you for specific recommendations, like KissMetrics, Crazyegg, Prosper202, etc.
- If answering all that would be too complicated maybe someone could recommend a warrior who has extensive experience in setting up what I'm looking for and would be willing to discuss it - or at least someone who can point me in the right direction?
