QuakeMix Revisited

I bought Quake Mix when it came out in February. I didn't get around to trying it until June. That one time I tried it, it didn't work (video uploading kept erroring out).

At the same time, I was trying Peter Drew's VCP on the same account.

The next day, my YouTube account was suspended. I don't know if it was Quake Mix, VCP, or for some unrelated reason. I've read that hundreds of accounts were suspended that week, so it could have been a YouTube raid.

But, the experience spooked me. I canceled the VCP subscription and haven't tried to use QM since.

But, I love the IDEA of Quake Mix.

There's one other review thread, here, but it's a few months old, so I thought I'd start a new thread.
  • Is anyone using Quake Mix right now?
  • Have they worked out the bugs?
  • Are your YouTube accounts doing fine?
  • Are you seeing ranking improvements?

Also, who gave it a fair shot and decided it just didn't work?

    Kind of surprised there's not more interest in this topic, but I'll just wrap it up by saying I tried it one more time on a fresh YouTube account with no other activity. I used QM to upload just 5 videos.

    The very next morning, my YT account was suspended.

    So, I won't be using it, anymore.

    I bought Quakemix with all the upsells, and used it very spordically. Now I have an email from the creator saying the database is being pulled and shut, but I can buy whats replacing it (and its better!), weblify.

    Okay, I hadn't gone to town with quakemix, but surely as I bought it, (and I dont think there were any time limits on its use), I should still be able to use and benefit from it.

      I agree, James. I was not happy about that announcement. I think the owners should have offered the upgrade to their new service for free to those that trusted them with QuakeMix.

      BTW, QM never quite worked for me. Also got my YT account banned. I also had the unfortunate experience with their support where you just get an canned response to watch the webinar.

      Sadly, this seller is now on my Do Not Buy list.

    Ditto. I thought it would be a good fit, and imagined it working as sold. If I was using it extensively, and getting success with it, Id be might peed off at it being shut down. Like you I bought it and it now feels like Ive been ripped off or stolen from.

    Not something Im going to repeat, and will bite the 80 or so bucks...oh and not in anyway going to buy or 'upgrade' to weblify.
