Optimize press vs other solutions

Hello All

I have been looking into OP and the new OP2

My question is what about other solutions for sales/squeexe pages. for example there is premise by copyblogger, or paper template which is a WSO from a warrior here.

:I would think a plugin might be a better solution as I would not need to have a new domain and separate hosting.

What say You

    Hi,

I'm not familiar with Paper Template or Premise (well, I know OF premise, but haven't used it).
Look, OP is pretty good, version 1 was fantastic, but on the "heavy" side in terms of customisation! Hopefully version 2.0 has made that easier.

The good thing about version 2.0 is that is also comes as a plugin, so you can have whichever theme you want to use and still resort to Optimize Press for your squeeze pages.

I'm going to make a video walkthrough of OP 2.0 later today, and hopefully it'll answer your questions!

OP2 comes in both plugin form and theme form, so you can have all the OP2 features on other themes, if you want. Best of both worlds.

The main competition for OP2, from what I can tell, is Leadpages.net, which I have yet to use so I can't realy comment on. I will say though, that I am considering refunding my OP2 and going with Leadpages instead, for a couple of reasons.

    1. OptimizePress's clubhouse membership is $17 / month which adds up to $204/ year. Leadpages.net is only $200 / year for everything, without the initial license fee. Also, leadpages already has a much larger collection of templates, since OP2 is much newer.

    2. You can use your leadpages.net sites on your clients' sites, without having to pay for a new account. With OP2 you have to buy a new license, if you want to use it for a client. Buying "unlimited licenses" of OP2 is for personal use only.

You might want to look into Premise by copyblogger. That is the solution I think I am going with. Either that or OP, the first version, I do not like ongoing payments

    hi there,
I just posted a video walkthrough of Optimize Press 2.0 for everyone to see what it looks like, where it shines and where it fails.
The video is long and a bit crap, but the main point was to show you what you'd face when you first install OP2 (overwhelm!).

I have both OP2 & InstaBuilder and both have problem with min-squeeze pages with big photos in the background!

      * OP2 cannot control opt-in transparency, padding around opt-in is too large and cannot be changes so it obscures the photo: for-sale-op — Lake Wilcox Real Estate

      * InstaBuilder looks much nicer, but integrates poorly with auto-responders (it passes helper text into the auto-responder, when fields should be treated as empty)! This would be funny if it does not take their support WEEKS to fix the problem: http://lakewilcoxhomes.com/

After few hundreds $-s spent on programs that do not work (for me) and weeks of LOST leads, I think I should have gone with LeadPages Software - Mobile Responsive Landing Page Generator and Builder. I know for sure their mini-pages work because that's where I borrowed my idea from at the first place, but I hated paying monthly subscriptions.

Since my experience sounds like an Ad for LeadPages.net (but it's not), I think their people on WSO should share some coupon codes with us here! You used to ask for $17/month, and when I checked tonight you are asking for $37/month. I feel that $10/month would win even the cheapest guys to you... So, here I go again: can LeadPages.net please share some "coupon love" with us here?

      Cheers!

Profits Theme is another option that you can use for sales pages, squeeze pages, thank you pages. If you don't want to change themes and go with a plugin, PT Instant has everything your looking for.
