    Honestbizpro,

I do exactly as you do - I study the subject I'm interested in as deep
and wide as it goes in order to find the knowledge I need for my business.

I started this thread in order to get the information about some serious
courses that I'm maybe not aware of. The day you say 'I know everything'
    you are dead. Psychologically.

I'm sure there are serious books and courses I don't know about that
other warriors can suggest as 'best' or 'very good'.

    Hey Alminc,

Honestly I think better then any ebook or course will ever be is a
coach / mentor. Because this coach / mentor has probably bought
all of the best ebooks out there on list building so instead of reading
them yourself this person can just teach you the best strategies this
    person has learned.

Tellman Knudson's List Building Club at www.listbuildingclub.com is the best resource I've seen dedicated to list building. It has videos that walk you through everything step by step. It covers getting an autoresponder, how to put the code on your squeeze page, setting up a blog, writing articles, press releases, ppc, and every other list building method out there. It also has tons of audio and written resources, and some nice bonuses. There is too much beneficial information for me to mention it all here.

You can try it out for free for 30 days. If you don't like it, cancel before you are charged anything. I'm pretty sure you'll find a lot of benefit in it though.

I think what you ought to do is learn the basics of
list building first (if you don't already know them),
including the technical aspects of setting everything
up, how to drive a basic stream of traffic, how to write
an effective message to your list, and how to set up
    your squeeze page for conversion.

Then from there on, it's pretty much testing, testing
and testing, plus adding extra ideas from different
methods other marketers are using to incorporate
into your own list building strategy.
(eg. refer-a-friend script, oto, sales funnel, the "list"
    goes on...)

      Li,

Don't be rediculous by telling me to start learning basics.

I've mastered the basics, and much more than that, looooong ago

I agree with this comment. I already saw your answer to it, OP, and let me ask you something: are you planning to expand your business and hire employees one day, or are you going to be a one-man-band? If you're planning on being the ONLY link builder for a very long time, then yeah, it's kinda silly that anyone suggest you start with the basics of linkbuilding.

HOWEVER, if one day you decide that your company can withstand hiring people to do minor tasks, linkbuilding can easily become one of those minor tasks. Then what? You're going to be on a rut if you have to teach your linkbuilders everything they need to know and you don't have any actual teaching material.

I recommend Aaron Wall's book - SEO Training made easy (available at seobook.com). It's full of useful tricks and it explains how to organize the link building process.

Has Anyone else here subscribed to Tellman Knudson's program? This guy is weird. I'd like to get the real story on him. He's a buddy of Shawn Casey's, I think. His latest campaign describes a 1,000 person limit to a course which sells for $1,997 called Tellman on Traffic. Comes with a 365 day guarantee.

Any and All info is appreciated.

I wouldn't sign up for anything that Tellman produces. I signed up for a free e-book he was giving away and not I can't unsuscribe to his list.

I've tried numerous times to remove myself from his list and keep getting e-mails from him nonetheless.

Just filter his address out directly to the trash folder, and you will not see him again...lol

You can read books all day or you can get yourself out there to learn and take the lil tid bits you learned from the few paragraphs you read over that time.

I used to spend so much money buying books and courses, and you know what, most were crap, or it was an ebook that I couldn't spend enough time to read cause I was out there doing the work that was in the book.

I swear by this guys product, its how I kept focus. A series of information packed videos that anyone can understand, I did.

It was like being in a boot camp. SO Focused on what I had to learn and learned it really well.

Here is a review of this course.

If it worked for me, I know it will work for you.

    Course Review

Best Wishes and Break A Leg!
