Hey Guys,
I'm looking to host a few streaming videos on my site. What's the easiest, cheapest program that easily allows me to do this? Do I even need a specific program? I'm not the most tech-savvy guy in the world, so I don't know too much about this subject. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks. |

The cheapest solution for high-quality, fast-loading
.FLV streaming video is On2 Flix | Video Encoders for Adobe Flash Player and Sun JavaFX The company that makes it created the codec, which is why this encoded is the cheapest of them all. At $39 it's a bargain considering the quality of the output. It doesn't come with a player. You can look at the free player here: LongTail Video | Home of the JW Player - I don't use it so I don't know what the licensing issues are for commercial usage but to start out the free JW player is worth checking out to get your feet wet. |
