Interspire v Arp Reach v Sticky Worm

Some advice please.

I have looked at all these platforms but I can't seem to find a definitive answer.

1. Which if any will automatically remove a subscriber if they report my email as spam? I want to automate as much as possible.

2. Interspire is $500 compared to the other two which are around the £200 range. Am I missing something obvous for the price difference.

Go easy on me please. I have searched and not found the answer plus I'm new to self hosted autoresponders and I can't work it out by myself.

All the best!

The feature you mention that automatically removes a subscriber if they report your email as spam is not available on these three self-hosted autoresponders.

However, all three offer one click unsubscribe. Subscribers can easily unsubscribe from your list by just clicking on the unsubscribe link attached to every sent email.

Yes, Interspire is more expensive than the other two because it has more features like surveys and feedback forms. All three will work just well as a basic autoresponder.

I myself have been using ARPReach (formerly Autoresponse Plus) for years. It works great when used with an SMTP service. It is cost effective and delivery rate is good.

I have personally used Interspire and Sticky Worm...

Interspire lacks automation features - but other than that is a great script.

Sticky Worm does indeed have the automation features but I don't think the product creator is still supporting the script as it is no longer available for sale on the website and my last help desk ticket has went unanswered for weeks now.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Coby

ARPReach is excellent for intelligent list management i.e. being able to add an email to one or more ARs and dropping from othets when a subscriber has come to the end of a sequence or taken a specific action. You can automatically assign tags when a particular action has been taken. ARPReach will continue to be supported and is being integrated into more IM products. If you want any help with it then PM me - happy to help.

No I haven't got anything to do with ARPReach except for being an active user.

I've tried many email marketing systems - both hosted and self-hosted over the last ten years so I tend to have an opinion!

Feel free to PM me and I'm happy to jump on skype or I'll give you my phone number for a regular phone call (I'm in the UK too) - happy to give any advice I can.

I've sent you a PM with my private phone and other details

Happy to help - email marketing is one of my specialisms and I use a number of different solutions for business clients so I like to think I'm neutral in my bias. Recommending self-hosted autoresponders is not done for the commission! - I guess that's the reason so many marketers are happy to promote aweber and get response.

        Hi

Wonder if I could have a quick chat with you also, pls? I use arpReach myself but for a consulting client am considering both Interspire and arpReach. I'm happy with arpR but Interspire looks to have greater functionality, specifically with FBL processing and survey tool.

Have been looking for someone who can help me with this!

        Many thanks in advance!

        Best wishes

I would like to make a suggestion to your question.
Can you do a wordpress plugin.
Lot's cheaper for what you get, they are easier to reach and answer your questions.
Im talking about saving over 400 bucks by the way.

    Now about the spam complaint's.
Lets say you have a wordpress plugin and you go through mailjet or mandrill for the smtp server. They will automatically remove that email address for you and block it from sending again.
Now for the bounces you will set that up as to how many hard or soft you want before there removed. I always suggest going through a service to detect bounced emails and get rid of them before you upload your list though.

I hope that helps some, if you want direct suggestions on which auto responder plugin to use. I won't give you affiliate links just straight answers.

    Jaypoole,

How do you get good inboxing with arpreach ? I've tried self hosted auto-responder in the past with good 3rd party SMTP service providers. I tried mailjet and mandrill. Lot of my subscribers were getting mails into spam folder, especially Hotmail subscribers. How do you manage good inboxing?

Even if you're using the very best service then you can still end up in the spam folder.

With ARPReach you can set up various external SMTP servers i.e. using Amazon SES, SendGrid, MailJet etc and then you can test to see which ones give the best deliverability for the same email content. Many SMTP servers have a free plan for the first n,000 emails each month (i.e. With the ones you've used then MailJet is 6,000 and Mandrill is 12,000) so it allows you to test between these platforms nicely.

      ..but...

I'd say the main reason people end up in spam folders is that their emails appear as spam. When composing your email then write it as if you are writing to a personal friend i.e. you're not writing it as if you are pitching them something, and avoid using words like FREE and DISCOUNT or it will be a big flag.
