Hi everybody I have been using the internet to build my business since 1998 and pretty successfully I believe. Coming from Cornwall I don't like spending money unnecessarily (we're a bit careful down here) so I always research everything carefully. I had been looking for some animation software and came across a site owned by a company called Sparkol and low and behold they were offering Free Animation Software for 7 days. Basically as I understood it they were giving me the chance to try, more or less, a good working version of their product called VideoScribe for a 7 day period for Free. Now as I say, being from Cornwall, I was sceptical as normally these offers require you to give authority for them to take money after the 7 days and you have to stop it, but there was none of that business, just a straightforward Free 7 Day Trial.

I had seen many animated videos using video scribing for promoting products and the like and must say that I was fascinated by the technique. there was nothing for it I had to try it.

The Warrior Forum has been good to me and so I wanted to give you all an honest review of Video Scribe before you think about spending your money.

With the Free Trial as you may imagine there are a few things that you cannot do and also the actual library of drawings and pictures is not quite as many as the paid version. What they give you however is perfectly adequate to check out whether it may be of benefit to you, and at no cost.

OK, when I first downloaded it I have to say I found the way it works a bit unusual. but soon got used to it and it took me about a day to be able to use the software to the best of its capability.

Firstly you can download one of hundreds of drawings and pictures from their comprehensive library but not only that, you can also load any picture or drawing from your computer or from any website URL. The software will either draw them or you can just have them appear or move them into the frame using a hand. You can time how long you want each picture to last and can move them around to where you want them.

Next you have the bit where you can use a hand or whatever you want to write words. In the trial version there are only a couple of fonts (could have done with a couple more really) but in the full version you can upload as many as you want from your computer. Each bit of writing can take as long as you want to write and as with, for example, a Word document you can easily change the size and colour of the writing.

The next thing you may wish to do is to add a voiceover to your video. Sparkol Videoscribe makes it very easy to do, simply using a normal microphone or you can even import a voiceover if you have had someone do one for you.

Finally, its nice to have a bit of music. The software has a very comprehensive file of Royalty Free Music from soft to very heavy and its easy to add it.

Another thing I found really helpful was, as you used a picture or a drawing it automatically added it to a Favourites folder for easy finding, if you wanted to use it again. By the way every video you make is saved so you cannot accidentally lose one, you wanted to keep.

Maybe you are asking Did I buy the full pro version of this free animation software? - Well the truth is not for 5 days but that was enough to convince me that this was a VERY GOOD PRODUCT and I felt it could help my business considerably. I actually bought it on day six after sleeping on it as it costs £119 for a 12 month licence for the Pro version of Videoscribe. I personally felt that for about 33p a day it made good business sense. However let me just say many people jump into things like this because it is, the latest technique or is fascinating, so the Free Trial is good, as it can help you decide if its for you or not.
