TUBE TOOLBOX - A few big words of warning
The moment I had my youtube channel "complete" meaning all graphics done, content and a decent schedule intent and took the plunge.
Then, I panicked.
Here are the problems with this tool in 2013:
1. The tube toolbox team tells you that you are never in jeopardy of going against youtube tos but they do this in doublespeak.
The tos says you cannot use an automated program to send messages and exceed the limits of youtube, so therefore by the terms you are not BREAKING the rules.
Problem is that it's double speak. By using the automated system alone you are breaking the rules.
How could youtube know? Well it can always be tracked, from a browser UA to other code.
Tube toolbox uses a browser, has code and sends an identifier to youtube in sure.
2. If you have subscribers in your niche you cannot generate lists which exclude them.
So my channel is all about bosybuilding and fitness, and I visit my competitor and create a list. It happens to grab 1000 names that have people whom already subscribe me.
There's no option to ignore them.
I lost subscribers after a night of using it. I had one message me why am I spamming them they already subscribe.
3. You will be flagged for spam.
This isn't a problem if you aren't using the tool. It seems google can see the difference. There are ways tontrack behaviors and if you are flagged by automated actions the program does good luck, but I was flagged three time sending three automated messages per hour. Ouch!
4. They have old and new forums. For it seems a good reason.
Call me a conspiracy theorist but their old forums had just a tremendous amount of people who were banned, lost all their videos, subscribers, and view count using the tool and staying well within what a human being would do.
I mean, sending out two messages an hour for sux to eight hours a time. I could even do that if I had a desk job...but they still got caught.
So they no longer list these forums, now it's a new forum.
Boo. That's hiding a huge issue with the tool.
Suffice it to say I have not used it since, and cancelled my subscription. It just seems far too risky to gamble my entire channel on it.
