Youtube is a great place to start. Study what others are doing and replicate it until you can find a way to stand out.

Check this guy out, he has great advice that should help you get started: James Wedmore - YouTube

I dunno if I'd take advice from a guy on YouTube...

That has been doing videos for 5 years...

And JUST hit 1 million views and 17K subscribers.

I'm sure there's better advice out there. Just saying.

I find it very painful to make videos and then to use all the tricks needed to rank them.

If you're planning to do videos for Google (to rank with YouTube / DailyMotion), it shouldn't be painful if you automate the process. It should be really easy and you can create 10's of videos (to target different keywords), in the same time that it takes you to write a single article.

Now, if you're planning to do videos to go viral (funny things etc), yes the process can be extremely boring.

As for the marketing, many times you'll notice that your videos get top Google ranks even without a single backlinks. Others, you may some bump but still with this, it's a very powerful source of traffic generation.

Oh goodness, then stay away from ranking websites then!

It's getting a bit harder now with YT weeding out crap videos, but not too much harder.

View length is gaining importance now, so putting annotations and things to get your visitors engaged can be useful.

Use a natural looking amount of likes, favs and subs for your videos (if you're going to fake them).

To rank my videos I tend to use high pr links - mostly comments and my own network - in a full massive wave along with the views, likes, favs and subs to simulate the viral effect of my videos.

So step one is to make a video worth watching and step two is what I've just said here.

You don't need a WSO to teach you this, trust me!

If you have to fake likes/subs/favorites...

You're probably not making quality videos to begin with lol.

Which will do you no good at all...a crap video is a crap video.

Regardless of how many likes or comments it has.

Nope, not the case whatsoever. It's the higher quality videos that convert best as well, so I'm not leaving money on the table ranking a crap video.

I could either wait some time and getting the likes, views etc organically by sharing the videos or whatever...or i can pay/exchange for them and get those results faster.

My video projects tend to rank within a few days of making the video, which churns out far faster $$ than if i were to wait for them to go viral and gain popularity naturally.

A lot of people who do use the fake views and likes do have crap videos, but definitely not all.

It's hiding in plain sight - IMO. Look on the homepage of this forum under Private Forums. You'll see the High Voltage Video Marketing Forum. It was created by Kurt Melvin who is a long-time forum member. Bear in mind that the only way he could do this is with Allen Says' blessing and trust. Allen owns this forum, and he would never have allowed Kurt to set-up the private forum unless it was of the highest quality. You'll learn all you need for video creation and marketing.

I have been acquainted with Kurt for years and can tell you he's quite generous with his knowledge and is an all-around cool guy.

Worth joining. No need to go anywhere else.

I agree, another thumbs-up over here for the High Voltage Video Marketing Forum.

There is a small fee to get access to that section of the forum, but it is literally all the video marketing training you will ever need.

Where do you pay the fee? Doesn't have a link to get access, just says I can't have access.

    There's no science behind it.
I've videos there with over 150,000 views.
    Upload, optimise title and description.
Add your link to the desription (once is enough)
    Select the appropriate category
Let the videos age for a few months/years
    Collect the adsense payements.
Not a lot to it really.

Posting a video on youtube, waiting for months/years to rank and collecting adsense is probably the worst approach to making money through youtube. You can create a video in a high paying niche and rank it on the first page of google within a few weeks and start making sales just as fast if you know what you're doing.

His has a private group as well and he is always willing to help you along the way. The course is complete on Youtube marketing. All you need my brother.

The other is REELSEO.com, an enormous resource for advanced marketing tactics and video production techniques. You will also find a dozen or so top notch contributors that (really do) make a living using video there and post daily on all things video. In fact, REELSEO is so relevant, that most forum topics around the net (paid or unpaid) are actually gleamed (or even ripped) from that site and regurgitated as original by other marketers. So.... just go straight to the source - it is invaluable.

      Yep, both are excellent resources.

ReelSEO is included in the High Voltage news scraper email list so members can easily keep up to date with ReelSEO content and some other excellent video markeketing related news and resources.

I've also posted about the Youtube Creator Playbook here in the Main WF and in the High Voltage. Youtube offers more than just the Playbook.

      Here it is again...

      PDF Version:

      YouTube Playbook Guides

If you know about the YouTube Creator Handbook, you may not be aware that Youtube also has released their "Playbook Guides":

      Quote:
Today, we're announcing the creation of Playbook Guides - a new set of resources designed for the unique needs of different content creators. Playbook Guides are now available in the following categories: Sports, Music, Education, Media Companies, and Nonprofits.

Whereas the YT Creator Handbook is for general YT marketing, the Playbook Guides give excellent advice for some specific niches:
      • Sports
      • Music
      • Education
      • Media
      • Nonprofits

Youtube also has a channel called "Youtube Creator Academy".

Hi, I see that you need info on YT marketing. I can help you in ranking on 1st page of YT and Google. You can rank videos on 1st page of YT and Google in 50 min or less, here is the proof --> Google Todd Gross Reviews - this ranking video was done in 50 min and it is still on 1st page of Google. You can rank high and drive traffic to affiliate offers, WSO, Clickbank, local businesses and more, let me know if you are interested.
