Hey Everyone,
While researching differences between DNS 10 and Windows Vista's own Speech Recognition I noticed many people annoyed that DNS 10 wasn't compatible with Vista 64bit, well... DNS 10.1 now has compatibility for 64 bit. "Writing" with DNS 10...point 1 now can reach a wider audience. Bang out those articles, blog posts, and much more content! What’s New in Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10.1? Oh yeah, that isn't an aff link just a "what's new" page on Nuance's own site. |

Yeah, I'm sure after a while we should all begin to outsource and such, but in the beginning and even for those who still write a lot even when they do invest in outsourcing, I believe SR to be a wise investment.

I heard of this product at least 10 years ago but never seriously thought about buying it. I can type at about 80words per minute (though some of the silly online tests I've taken put me at 120wpm once I've had a bit of practice at them). If I can type fast is there any need for this product? Do you find it easier to get your thoughts down when you're just speaking instead of typing? Do you have to change your speech much? For example in the last sentence I typed "you're", would this program handle that? Just curious. | |

It helps tremendously. There is a little bit of a learning curve to learn the commands to delete, cut paste, undo, etc. but it is worth it. I was also able to cut my writing time in half.

After training and getting used to it for about a week, you can "type" about 120 to 140 WPM with dragon.
