I couldn't agree more. But the fact is, many people have never found or used this tool. And then there are the old timers like me that are pretty sure they once had one, but lately are beginning to wonder.

Opinions will vary, and responses will be ambiguous. My best internet marketing tool is article marketing. Conversions are ridiculous.

Your creativity! Look at the niche you are going into, see how other websites are set up and come up with something a bit more interesting. Have an edge - it could be a better bonus, lower price, better contents, better site design, a community...

I've found over and over again that a really good weekly or biweekly newsletter can help grow subscribers and increase visitors to a site. Especially, if the content of that newsletter is parsed out and posted onto the site's facebook & twitter & google+ channels.

Second to that I am seeing that Youtube videos and a channel can really help increase SEO and engagement for brands.

For email newsletter service providers I find that mailchimp and constant contact are pretty easy to use and have some great analytics.

Don't forget that having sign-up forms/widgets and graphics on your site in appropriate places and on Facebook will help your subscribers grow. We have a signup page to our mail chimp newsletter on our home page (Wondermint Kids), our blog pages in sidebar, and on our facebook menu tab (http://www.facebook.com/WondermintKids). Good luck everybody!

Now a days most important tool is social signals, facebook page likes, twitter followers and your email list. Every technique that get on top of Google via SEO isn't reliable for long term success. So focus on building direct connections.

Aweber, GetResponse - good tool for building a list in order to keep a sustainable business.
Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin - social media for connecting people and buidling good relationship to them.

You'll never reap the full benefits of Internet Marketing if you are looking for that one "best tool". There is no magic tool, trust me.

It's like asking what's the most important part of your body - what would be your answer? I thought so. You need them all, your brain will send signals but only if your hands are there to receive and carry out the command...and if your legs can carry you to where your brains sent your hands to do something.....and so on.

You will use more than a handful of tools during your career as an Internet marketer, so instead of asking what the best tool is, you should be doing a self evaluation and an assessment of your Internet marketing needs and assembling the tools you need to do your job. Because you will need many tools.

The best IM Tool is your content and your brain.

Other than that if you need some real tools i would recommend scrapebox and GSA.Those 2 are really powerful if used right.

If you are looking for ONE tool that will do a 'magic' trick, you won't find it.Things change everyday so you can't say one tool will be the best in the next 6 months. For example article marketing robot was the king a few years back but now it's just an average tool that won't achieve a lot.
The most powerful tool is personal relationships such as the one developed with an email list.
Some cool SEO tools are SocialMonkee And Magic Submitter but again they should be geared towards ranking your content to promote a lead capture page that will make you develop a relationship with people

With a few obvious exceptions, it's that mush holding your ears apart.

(For the exceptional people I mentioned above, that's your brain.)

This question is like asking "what is the best tool to be a carpenter"?. Every good carpenter knows that he needs at least a minimum of the basic tools. Additional tools may or may not improve his work or save him time depending on his skill level and the particular project he is working on.

It all depends on your budget. Facebook is good if you small budget since the CPC are lower while google will give you more conversions but at a higher charge, youtube is great to build awareness through videos.

It's never just one tool.... I personally use several... Creatives such as banners on multiple sites, cpc advertising (a bit like adwords, but without Google!!), Solo adverts from reputable suppliers, blog, social media.... And anything else in-between. It's good to be creative and think outside the box. Even off line advertising is a good option.
