I thought the guy is like A1, maybe I am wrong, but seems like this forum is not familiar with him, if anyone has an opinion on him let me know.

Personally I wasn't familiar with him until recently. The main reason is that he uses the pen name David DeAngelo. He has been hugely successful with his dating courses and makes an estimated 25M per year online.

I watched a seminar video with him talking and found him to be very bright.

I can't tell you much about the actual worth of his products. But if you want to learn how to make an effective sales video. Watch his sales video with a notepad open and write down a detailed outline of exactly what he is talking about and the ordering hereis.

You will find him following very powerful patterns of persuasion in language and structure.

Here's my point, I am totally convinced he is ok, he's got the flair for sure, but here's my question, I am thinking about getting his mastermind deal for 2000 usd, and it is a nice package, no doubt, but as I read many other similar offers, for a LOT less than that, some as low as 100 usd,(still seemingly reputable people) I am getting slightly suspicious that I would be paying too much for the info. In other words, I am not looking for motivation, just the nuts and bolts, but in a package.

I have to heartily disagree with this...

If you're a marketer, there is absolutely something you can learn from a marketer who pulls in 25 million per year. You CANNOT find all the information for free.

Not referring to the above poster...but the argument that you can find "Everything you need for free" gets absolutely old.

The productivity course I took from him was life changing -- and no, I couldn't have gotten it all for free The same can be said for those who've gotten his Altitude and Guru training (I have not).

You will absolutely stall your education if you refuse to pay for any of it. That does NOT mean you need to buy high end courses like the ones Eben sells. However, if I had listened to the people who said I could learn everything I needed to for "free" ... I wouldn't have the success I have today

Jenn, I totally believe what you are saying, and I would not dare to ask someone to do it for "free", really. And I appreciate your support on this. It does help. But here's my dilemma, I am just trying to be sure that a) the price is fair in comparison, and b) can he deliver. I just don't need another "program" that is not going to take me anywhere. That is all. Of course, he does have a 30 full return policy, although I am not sure what that really means, do I really get my money back if I am not happy, just by sending his stuff back. I mean, meanwhile, I am looking at his videos and stuff, mostly older and earlier stuff, I have only randomly sampled some of that stuff, and while I am somewhat impressed about what he says, I am not totally jumping up and down either. Then again, to be fair, I've only seen maybe 5 or 10%. So yes, I am concerned.

Eben Pagan is an industry heavyweight. Best of all, he works on your 'inner game' psychology and not just short-term tricks.

Hello RM,

The "Wake Up Productive" course taught me how to start my day with healthy eating and mind-preparation exercises and how to schedule my time so that I'm not burned out an am at the peak of my productivity. It's helped me stop procrastinating, and to truly focus in on exactly what it is I need to be doing in my business. It's a course that takes place over 3 months, so that's just a "nutshell" description.

I'm not sure how to answer the last part of your question -- yes, I try to look on the bright side of things. I'm also very particular about what I spend my money on, and I do A LOT of research before I spend money on anything. It usually happens that I'm quite pleased with what I buy, because it fits in with my business model at the time, and ends up helping me.

I also try to surround myself with positivity. It's a nice way to live That does not mean I'm perfect and love everything, and I have "called out" products/systems when it needs to be done. I've gotten smarter about what I choose to do, and who I choose to associate with.

I would say that if you're not 100% sure the product you're looking at (not sure which one) fits in with your business model, it might not be for you at this point in time. There are many products on the lower end of the scale that can give you a GREAT start without having to spend a fortune. I do believe in speeding up education by investing in things you know will help lead to your success -- I do not believe in spending a bunch of money because there is a Guru name attached

It seems like you have a lot of hesitation right now, and there is no reason you can't pick up the course you're thinking of (or whatever will be out 3 months down the road at a later date.

Don't get me wrong -- there ARE amazing free materials available. In fact, much of the "guru" business model is giving away free content that is of very high quality. You can certainly learn a ton from free stuff (I do!). But if you see a product you know you can help, and it fits in with your budget and business goals -- that's when I say go for it

I really don't understand what the fuss is. Eben offered a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee for his product. So for those of you who are complaining against Eben, I see no reason to thrash him.

I buy a lot of stuff...books, courses, etc. I go to a lot of seminars too.

I bought the Wake Up Productive and The Altitude home study course. Both were excellent, and well worth the investment. Lots of solid info presented in articulately. They aren't passive courses - you have to dig in and take action.

It is easy to tell that Pagan has been a voracious student for a long time - from a lot of conventional and unconventional sources. I have found others, like Schefren, to simply regurgitate - almost verbatim - stuff from Drucker, Abrabaham, etc. Not that there is anything wrong with that - I separate the message from the messenger.

Pagan does a great job of taking a lot of different lessons from different folks and parsing it down into simple lessons. The stuff he gives away is great. There is still a ton of great stuff that he doesn't give away publicly.
