What are the top automation tools for creating macros?

Would you please give me the REAL top list of automation tools for creating macros including their reasons why the one is more ranked than the other one?

And please provide me what are the most used tools so I would try to learn them and offer a service to create a macro by using the most used automation tools in the future.. Thanks!

      The only one I've ever seen is Macro Marketer (macromarketer.com) from Eric Holmlund and Micah Stover. Of course, Windows PCs have a built-in macro recording program and I would guess Apples do too. Sorry, no list. There may be many others, but in the IM space, this is the only one I know of.

    I use AutoHotkey all the time - it's free, well-supported and incredibly functional.

    What I like about it is that it works globally - for example, a single text-insertion macro will do the job regardless of whether I am running Word, web browser, Notepad, or some other application.
