Have i been over paying for hosting?

I currently have paid hosting through blue host, and go daddy. If I'm only getting 4k views a month are there a lot better options that will do the job just as fine?

blue host is a solid option - I believe it's under the same company that owns hostgator

I dunno if HostGator is cheaper. But JustHost probably is. Those, and others, are owned by EIG.

If you really want cheap...you'll get cheap. And most say that EIG hosting companies (web hosts owned by Endurance something something) no longer have the same high standards they used to.

Do a search on forums such as Web Hosting Talk - The largest, most influential web hosting community on the Internet & stop listening to fake review sites. You'll find your answers there.

You're not going to get much cheaper than those two, to be honest. You might save a buck or two a month, but for the hassle of moving your sites, it's not worth it.

I have multiple websites on my single Hostgator account and I have been happy with the performance for $9.95 per month.

Many, many hosts cost less than EIG brands (Bluehost, Hostgator, Justhost, iPage, etc)
And the lower-cost hosts are better.
      Win-win.

Did not have good experience with Hostgator after EIG take over same company that owns Blue Host. And to be true godaddy is just good for domain registation hosting and support with godaddy has been a big problem for all our customers using them

I will suggest you to take a look at :

      Webhost.UK.Net
      Rackspace
      Rshosting
      Infrenion
      Webhosting UK

All this host are well know for there support and affordable price.

Both Bleuhost and Godaddy are overselling hosts, with very reasonable price. You may find cheaper hosts, but that would be a big compromise with quality. 4k visitors per month is nothing, but even then I wouldn't recommend you a host that is down few hours and slow for most part of the day. If you ever think about moving, move to a better, non overselling relatively more expensive host. Concentrate on getting more traffic, cost cutting is not the solution.

Your HostGator review says that they host their sites at the planet in Dallas, TX. I thought that most sites have been migrated to the Provo data centres in Utah now?
