I will be creating a membership site very soon and I was hoping you guys could tell me the differences and/or similarities between BFM and Delavo. Do they both do the same thing or are they geared towards different audiences? For example, Delavo seems to be heavily focused on JVMs where as BFM seems to lean more towards a straight membership site. Not having worked with either I could be wrong about this, that's just how it appears on the surface. Other things like ease of installation and use, ease of customization, technical competency required, features and benefits, etc., would be very helpful to me in my decision making process. Sean |

Hi Sean, I have built several BFMs sites and recently "met" Delavo, which is the new version of JVManager. The audience will be no difference - that is your customers. I guess the main difference is the key word "Centralization". If you are planning to do 1 site, then by no means, use BFM is okay. However, for the long run, you will benefit by using Delavo which centralize everything that you do. As a FYI, I encourage you to download John Delavera's Big Yellow Book - which will give you some "insights" whether you should use BFM or JVManager (Delavo). Of course, he is biased in his opinion , but you will get the reasons why you need Delavo. I wished I read it 2-3 years back ![]() Cheers Roy |

Roy, Can you explain how the Delavo/Fantasos Mini Sites work or their capabilities? I'm not familiar with BFM sites but obtained a copy of Delavo and still wondering if to use the Mini Sites to replicate sites for my affiliates and MLM downline. |

At the time of writing this post, the manual was being created for DELAVO, so I dont' have enough to claim I have the answer for you. If you are a TMer, you may post a question on their private forum. I am quite familiar with BFM sites; in fact, if you check out my sites in the byline below, you can see how they work. Unsubscribe if you want to afterwards. For DELAVO, I am not sure if it fits your MLM downline module, but BFM definitely works with MLM and I know it for a fact, as I've built a few MLM sites using it. Cheers Roy

The term "mini-sites" is, I think, a little confusing. DelAvo can turn any web-page you want into an affiliate site. You put a bit of code into the master site and the script generates a version of that page for each affiliate to promote - using an aff. Id tacked onto the end of the site URL. Your affiliate can mask the ID if desired using a redirect/mask from a domain URL or4 with other methods. A mini-site is a 5-page or so site created withing Delavo - it's a PHP thing using templates in the system so it isn't static - such a site can have a salesletter, sure, but more importantly it has dynamically generated promotional tools "in the back" so customers (who can be automatically turned into affiliates and in fact paid instantly a-la RapidActionProfits) can get banners and things like that to promote the same offer with very little effort.

I have no clue about Delavo. I have it but as with Butterfly Marketing I am finding it too complicated and don't know where to start. Any ideas welcome. I am trying to follow the workshop in Delavo but still no clue!

You'll need to add a plugin that is coming out soon or buy the F1.18 plugins package that brings the actual core of Delavo to the same level where Fantasos v1.18 was left, which includes among several others the minisites function. Regards, Andre Foisy

Thanks Loren, you have been the only person including the posts on the Delavo forum to give me some light on how the Delavo/Fantasos Mini Sites work! You said it it created on the Delavo server, so I take I can't create a Remote Mini Site on another server? I know that you can create packages, specify a remote URL on a remote server and have the pages there, but you have to use the link of the Delavo server and it will redirect to the package site. I guess if I could had used the URL of the Remote Mini Site to promote, I would have been able to replicate many different sites for my downline using also the Custom Tags plugin. I guess I will have to use the Butterfly script or something else instead of Delavo, and I hate that since I was looking forward in centralizing all of them instead of installing several copies of the Butterfly Marketing script for each site. |

Delavo is not just a membership management program, it is an entire marketing system, it centralizes everything you do in a way that you have complete control of everything you are doing. no need to login to several sites, no need to have different things spread all over the net... 1 spot to do it all. It is like the Lord of the Rings, 1 system to rule them all. I strongly advice on getting it, there is no way I could work without it Nathan |

I got the free Delavo and love it! But I have been posting (like been on the Quest for the Ring that Rule them All) to see if what I want to do is possible with Delavo/Fantasos. Here is what I need to do. Does anyone think it can be done with Delavo/Fantasos plus Mini Sites and Custom Tags plugins? 1. Intall Delavo on mydelavo.com, create a Mini Site on myminisite.com. Or if not possible, create the Minisite on the Delavo server. 2. Tell Delavo the URL to use is the myminisite.com as to been able to promote myminisite.com/affiliateID (maybe with javascript code on mini site page) so that it keeps track of the affiliate and with the Custom Tags plugin display or change custom fields depending on the affiliate. OR if not possible, create a .htaccess script on the remote server URL (minisite.com) to call Delavo javascript and redirect to mini site on Delavo server but keeping the affiliate info. 3. Last of what I want to do is been able to create a WordPress blog as a Mini Site so that I can change using the Custom Tags plugin, certain info for affiliate who sends traffic for it, like links and other custom fields. |

jayinpr You may want to explore the remote membership instead of the minisite. Also there is a wordpress plugin coming soon. Maybe someone has the inside scoop on this. It may be what you need. Also remember people cannot use the trademark Delavo(TM) with their domain names. (mydelavo.com) I sure this is just an example. Thanks Mike |

Delavo is a complete eCommerce centralized business platform like InfusionSoft or 1ShoppingCart. It includes exact duplicate functionality of Butterfly Marketing Script, plus extra layers of sales process features that can easily squeeze double the profits per customer. And of course includes more functions and benefits than every shopping cart created since 2000 till today, put together. See comparison chart: Comparison Table |
