Lightbulb icontact.com - -flood of emails from their company lately - all spam

Is anyone else getting hit hard - -I mean real hard - -with spam from this company's accounts:

iContact - Email Marketing Simplified - Get in Touch with the iContact Team

Contact Us Media Contact
Chuck Hester, APR
Director of Public Relations
(919) 459-1451
chuck@icontact.com

I can't tell you how many emails keep flooding my in-box from this company lately, it's totally incredible spam, all junk - nothing I even signed up for at all, yet company after company spams from here.

Did I miss something?

Someone, please - shut this group down, wow, or share how to finally get off every single list.

Enough already folks! Get a grip! Like I'd even buy from you!

Seriously, does anyone sell through here? Legitimately? What's the scoop?
This is horrendous. It's like their emails and company name are trying to imitate constantcontact.com but they are off course by a long shot.

constantcontact.com is professional, has unsubscribe links and does not spam. You don't sign up, you don't get their emails.

This other place -wow!
I'd know if I signed up for male enhancement products, folks, trust me here
And to sign up you have to - -- SUBSCRIBE -- - right!?!?!?! THen unsubscribe?!

What's up with this??

Just ignore them. The worst thing you can do is to "unsubscribe". This will indicate to them that you are indeed there and they will even spam you more. Don't reply to them.

I sent a letter to the company email above and wow, fast action was taken! Now normally when I've done this with other place, the replies either bounce or no one ever replies at all. So this place and the people there get very high praise, "Thanks!"

They sent my info to their abuse deparment and copied me on an email saying to report further abuse to:

abuse@icontact.com

THeir abuse department then sent this letter that brought smiles and applause :

Quote:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting iContact Abuse.

If one of our customers sent you an email, please forward a copy of the email you received so that we can penalize the account in question. We encourage you to continue sending any spam complaints to 'abuse@icontact.com' so we can identify and resolve any abuse situations. So again, "Thanks!" icontact -and you Warriors for your posts. My box is clear of those emails this morning, a first in awhile, and it's great.

OK, now I'll have to check out their email service. Great response time and customer service, they've got me wondering about their product now Might be excellent email to use for marketing with autoresponder series...!

I'm getting slammed with spam and I have no idea where it is coming from. It's getting very bad, like, to the point where I am ready to create a new email address.

Spam is getting heavier again for some reason. Sometimes it's pretty well under control, but then it's time to change things or complain or something...

I try to hit the sources and call, even, if necessary. Keep clutter out and make marketers responsible, if at all possible.

I find this odd, iContact is a legitimate auto responder service.

Are you sure it's really coming from them and it's not just a forged unsubscribe link and/or header?
