What is your favorite List Building Tool?

I have been split testing different methods for my capture page and have not found it to be much difference. I don't see that one really out performs greatly. Do you prefer a stand alone squeeze page or on site signup tool such as a pop in? Which one to you have the greatest conversion with? Thanks!

the standalone squeeze pages result in the highest conversion, but cannot be used for everything. It makes sense to use pop-ups as well as squeeze pages.

Just be sure your squeeze pages are simple and only have the reader do one thing... enter the email and name. Nothing more, nothing less.

Even so, keep testing and trying to improve.

It depends on the traffic source and is something else to be tested. If it's paid traffic I always use a squeeze page. On my sites I mostly have a form in the sidebar or footer and a lightbox that pops on a new visitor's first visit. The lightbox converts a lot more then no lightbox. All the big ARs have lightboxes.

    enter the email and name.
I get higher conversions with just email.

My favorite list building tool would have to be safe-swaps. There are tons of providers you can choose from and actually see ratings before you order. Also for adswaps, the greatest way to build your list for free and test out different offers.

May be the problem isn't in the tool but in your message.
I suggest you tweak your message before making any conclusions
