Rankings Institute By Andrew Hansen And Alex Miller

Has anyone else watched the latest webinar by Andrew Hansen?

Actually there are 2 versions. The first one is just him talking while the second one is him talking with Matt Carter and Matt's subscribers.

Watched both and am very impressed by his strategies. First he showed the easy and fast way to do keyword research using just Google main page without using Google Planner or any other research tools.

If you typed any keyword like how to play guitar for instance, you will see trances of other keywords like how to play guitar like a pro, how to play guitar quickly and easily, how to play guitar like an expert quickly etc.

Secondly, he mentioned the days of stuffing your content with keywords and multi-link building are well over.

I have had fierce arguments with other marketers in SEO over these as they don't understand and agree with Andrew Hansen especially with link building part.

Instead according to Google as Andrew said, it is now ranking content related to topics instead of keywords.

Let's say I am passionate about playing musical instruments. I can just create a blog or e-commerce site with videos, reviews and articles on different musical instruments and what interested readers want to know about playing them.

Promoting both Amazon products of musical instruments and Clickbank products of how to play musical instruments.

Instead of building one backlink after another, I just posted new content or post day by day on just musical instruments.

The course is $997 one-time for those who can afford. Conducted by both Andrew and Alex Miller, whom Andrew regards as the SEO expert of SEO experts.

But if you can't afford, Andrew gives you the option of paying $97 monthly for 12 months.

If for any reason you don't want to continue, just emailed their support and they will cancel your monthly membership.

Andrew's courses are really topnotch. I was with foreveraffiliate and I've had success (little at first) with my blog. Andrew's techniques are in a way quite unorthodox, but for me it works. I just wish I can afford purchasing the course though. Seems like a goldmine of information.

Thanks for the review. Too much for me but I'm sure those who can afford it will learn a lot. You can get access for $97 after a few clicks.

How do I get access for $97? I can find it anywhere. There aren't any exit popups or anything.

        Hi highrider21,

Go to the order page, and close the site. Another page will show with the $97 dollar offer.

He guarantees you will make a minimum of $1k per month before they stop working with you.
In the webinar he talked about how you don't need to focus on a single keyword and can place several keywords that you researched just by looking at the drop down suggestions on google. I am new to all of this and was wondering if anyone knows how you would go about doing this in the article on that particular page of your site. Do you have to mention each of the, say 15-20 keywords you found on the drop down of google, several times, or is it something you just need to mention once or twice per keyword? Obviously they have to be relevant to the topic or Google will throw it out, but I was unclear on this aspect.
JP86, I too would LOVE to know how to structure a "topics related" post or page on a website!

Can someone demonstrate or point me to an example of a "Google friendly Hummingbird" topics related post?

Amuro...you are correct! I remembered in the webinar how Andrew discovered keywords by using Google suggest such as:

      "how to play the guitar"
"how to play the guitar quickly and easily"
"how to play the guitar like an expert"

I also remembered that he mentioned about "grouping" these related keywords and create "topic related" content.

Can you or someone give us an example please?

I believe some of the smartest people on the internet are here in the Warriors Forum so I'm sure there is a Warrior that can solve this problem for us.

      Thanking you in advance.

Just write your content the same way you write an essay when in school using those keywords as your article titles.

Content related to topic instead of putting keywords in every paragraph.

Google Suggest is very helpful when looking for keywords. Jack Duncan from here on the WF has a nice little tool for about $16. I've been using it for the last few months to get my keyword lists and it great. It obviously won't replace Andrews course but it will get you started.

It's true $97 a month and then $97 for an additional 12 months but if the techniques work, then no worries right? You also have 30 days to cancel if it doesn't work.
I liked what I saw in his videos leading up to this deadline, which is today by the way.
What I liked what that the claims weren't over the top. In one of the videos, one of the site only made $756 in 5 weeks. Not a lot of money but good for a starter website.

I just signed up. Can't wait to start the training Feb 3rd.

You might consider getting Andrew's Forever Affiliate course.

It is much easier to follow through as that course is only one-time $97 as compared to Rankings Institute which you have to pay $997 or $97 monthly.

A few people - including myself - have followed through and made $ using his strategies although it takes time.

For me, it is 2 months.

NOTE: It is NOT an immediate income getting or job replacement income course but more like a gradual and eventually long-term job replacement income.

That is if you picked the right niche and followed everything Andrew teaches you from A to Z.

    Andrew Hansen's courses are great,

I was not able to see the webinars,

but one thing has not changed

ranking number 1 requires links, period.

What has changed is the anchor text ratios.

Don't over optimize the exact match keyword anchor text.

You need lots of variations, url links, and brand name links.

Don't use an exact match domain anymore,
    use a branded domain.

After watching Andrew Hansen's Ranking Institutes webinar again last night, I have to say it has been an eye opener for me in SEO.

Truth is SEO is not as hard as what you think it is that is if you KNOW how to do it correctly.

Correctly as not what you think.

But what Google and your target audience thinks.

In contrary to what gurus said and even some of you might disagree, it's NOT about building a ton of backlinks and writing content which exactly matches keywords.

It has never been and will never be.

It's about your site look and content as to whether it engages readers and can meet their wants or solve their problems.

Isn't what blogging is all about from the start? Providing interesting and valuable content?

The best way is to write articles ranging from 800-1000 words and more preferably to do with your passion that others also have and willing to spend $ or if you have a solution to most people's problems and they want it immediately.

I've done the course at the start of the year. I won't go too much into full details as it seems to be mostly covered in previous reviews.

So during the 8 weeks structured course., you pick up a ton of new ways of 'cleaning up' your existing sites with their on-page SEO methods which actually does help greatly - firstly to keep Google penalities away from your sites as well as lifting some them that are already on your sites. If your advanced in SEO skills you'll probably already know about some these methods already while there is still plenty I had no idea about until doing this course.

The other part of the course covers keyword research and backlinking - both free/paid methods that they've found to have been proven to be working effectively in Google rankings. With the free backlinking you'll learn about which current authority sites you need to use, how many links, etc. With paid backlinking you'll learn which PBN's are working (the ones that aren't advertised anywhere) as well as the best press release sites that you should be using.

What did I like about this course?

    - Easy to follow and breaking down of course modules. Being a video course you get presented with five or six videos in each modules along with transcripts of each video. This is so much better than trying to read through ebooks alone as you can start applying the methods to your own sites as you go along. There is a list of links or resources related to each video (which is pretty much standard).

    - Support - very responsive. You can either send personal email to their course providers or usually its covered in the online forum.

    - Forum, Exceptionally good. I actually learned about a ton of new information from other seasoned SEO and marketers during the course - it felt like a free bonus to me. Also you'll find Andrew and Alex are very active in these forums (sometimes it took up to 48 hours for them to respond but you'll find them eventually getting back to you).

What I found not so great:

    - The reality check you get about making SEO work for free traffic for this year and beyond.

So what I mean by that is this: YES you can make money from Google with just free traffic and never have to worry about PPC/adwords again BUT if you want to rank your site fairly quickly over a period of 4 - 12 weeks then be prepared to spend money and treat it like proper business investment. They go into specific detail about what backlinks profiles you need to adopt and with which paid methods. While its not much work to do (like it was in the past ) you still need to have a budget in place and it needs implemented consistently.

This includes getting quality content written and nothing spun/PLR. So guys, this is a course for those that are serious about having an online business. Basically what this means you have to spend money to make your sites rank if you want results as fast as possible. Having said that, they give you the option of doing it all via just free methods but have made it clear that you can't rank your site as quickly as combining free methods with paid methods. In regards to that - they do provide 2 or 3 structed price options that work best if you have a limited budget.

Overall I found the course providers to be at the elite level and not just some re-hashed junk you find floating around about SEO - most of which is just out-dated or totally wrong. The course providers are very credible too - Andrew Hansen has been around a fairly long time with his 'Forever Affiliate' course which does use a lot of teachings in this course. While Alex Miller is a real SEO consultant for web agencies and product owner/co-founder of PosiRank LLC.

So I didn't feel like I was dealing with a couple of SEO cowboys here. They were honest and upfront about everything in the course.

If you have any more questions feel free to PM me or just reply to this.

Does anyone have an idea of how much the "extras" cost? Keyword tools, links, etc
        A lot!

There is a great keyword tool they promote that costs $47 p.m. It's not cheap but it is worth it if you know how to use it.

However, buying the backlinks is ultra expensive. They have 2 different sources to buy from, with their top choice being Posirank (which is owned and operated by Alex Miller who created the Rankings Institute Course).

You get 10 free PR3 backlinks as part of the course but the usual price listed on the Posirank website is 147 credits for 1 guest post on a PR 4 site.

        1 credit = $1.

So that is $147 for 1 guest post on a PR 4 site that will eventually roll off the home page to a PR0 page with no backlinks.

        Way too expensive!

The first month "Entry Level Linking" package costs $1068...and that's just the first month!

I mean paying $1068 per month for backlinks with this current Google algorithm is financial suicide. All those links (and your site) could be wiped out overnight with just a few tweaks of the algo.

Don't get me wrong, this course is amazing. It is worth every penny for the valuable information it supplies but their backlinking resources are way over the top.

The course is being used as a promotional tool for Posirank and I'm guessing this is how Andrew Hansen persuaded Alex Miller to create it.

A quick look around the internet or on other SEO forums will show you that you can get a top quality manually written guest post for about $47 and about 150 PR1 - 4 blog posts for under $30.

Hell you could even hire a freelancer to find a website willing to take a post, write the post and get the link for you for much, much cheaper than Posirank charges. In fact you could build a killer PBN yourself for half that amount!!!

Obviously forum PBN links are not as good quality (they still work well though) but without a manual reviewer looking at the sites Google doesn't know that - Googlebot can't speak English. And if a manual reviewer were to look at Posirank sites they would probably get taken down as well - it's not hard to spot a PBN site.

So, my advice is to get the course but to track down your own backlink sources using the the same strategy Miller outlines in the course but for a fraction of the cost.

        Hope this helps.

Hello Irish - thanks for your comments on RI.

If you don't mind, I'll just clear up a couple of factual inaccuracies.

The 10 free high PR blog post links that every member gets are $129 RRP. We pay for these links for each member.

The guest post links with Posirank are something different. This is where they find and make contact with a high authority website in your actual market, and manage the relationship, create the piece of content, and get it posted on that website for you. These aren't PBN sites they're real authority sites run by real people.

If you can find a better place to get that kind of link for cheaper than $147 I definitely encourage you to do so.

You might have missed coaching webinars 4 and 5 and 6 where this was clarified but in short, this is not true.

We certainly did provide a "best case scenario" link building option, for a person with a high budget (SEO companies who take our course, etc) but in those webinars there is a link building plan laid out for how you can get best results depending on what your budget is. If you have $0 to $300 to spend on link building, you use X plan... if you have $300 to $500, you use this plan, etc.

To answer the OP, the ongoing costs are whatever you can afford to grow your business. It's the same as starting any business. If you have $1000 to invest, there's a "best strategy" for you. If you have $10,000 to invest, there's a "best strategy" for you too, and it's different.

This is not an SEO strategy that requires you spend any amount of money, it only requires that you follow correct principles.

It makes me sad that you would say this.

Actually the Rankings Institute, and me Andrew Hansen make no money at all from recommending Posirank.

I could have chosen to recommend 100 different link building providers where I could have taken a commission, but I didn't. Why? Because the other providers are not as well managed, not as high quality, and can't be done all under a singular roof, with full customer support, and people in charge that I personally know and trust.

For anyone reading, RI member or not, please PLEASE do not do this.

150 high PR links for under $30 is a surefire way to attract a Penguin penalty in future refreshes. There is no possibility that links at this price could be high enough in quality (the content that's used or the sites they go on) to avoid a penalty.

          Again PLEASE don't do it.
