Highly Converting Landing Page Designer Recommendations

Hey everyone,
I'm starting an offline business helping some of my business friends generate some leads. I'm pretty squared away with generating traffic (PPC / FB), but I want to really focus on developing high converting landing pages / sites right out the gate.

I have experience with web design, but I'm no expert when it comes to setting up landing pages or sales funnels and since I want to do it right (and quickly), I'm more than willing to pay someone who is an expert.

Question is - who is an expert? There are SO many ads for landing page designers and WSOs and eBooks on how to do it etc.

Do any of you have some experience hiring a truly gifted landing page / site designer that can building highly converting pages?

I'm not looking for anything too complicated either. I just need the visitors to fill out a form and make a phone call. (at least filling out the form would be good). I'm NOT looking to get them to purchase on the site.

So, in a nutshell, I'm looking for:
1. Excellent designer that knows how to make high converting (email / phone) landing pages.
2. Someone who is also good at copywriting to put some good copy on the page.
3. Someone who is dependable. We already have 1 client (a friend) who we want to test this with, but we'll have a few more soon so we'd have ongoing work for whoever we hire.

If they suggest we put a video on the page, we can create the video ourselves and insert it into the design too.

I appreciate your insight and suggestions.

Thank you!
John

Haha, thanks hpgoodboy, i believe that! As a web designer it kills me to see some of the landing pages I've come across. I have to assume they are working well though, or they would have been changed (in most cases). Thanks for the tip.

I'm also trying to mix in copywriting into their skill set too however, so hopefully the person we hire can create some copy that will convert as well. That is something I'm terrible at and I know how important it is to have good copy.

      Any ideas anyone?

I've done tons of lead gen pages for offline businesses. Everything from plastic surgery to tax lawyers to real estate... and everything in between. I get quite a bit of repeat business too, so I must be doing something right. Haha, sorry for the blatant self-promotion.

Anyway... simple is best when it comes to pages like this. You want the users to browse the info and call the number or fill out the form w/o a lot of distraction. It also depends on how targeted the traffic is. A nice design is great since it immediately builds trust, but it's only one factor of many. The traffic needs to be quality too.

The page needs to address their immediate concerns and provide a strong call to action w/o a lot of fluff. When it doubt, keep it simple and clean. Search around in your niche(s) and see what others are doing. You'll notice patterns emerging.

Since you are getting such great results with your landing pages, would you mind posting some of them?

      Thank you in advance.

If you are going to use Squeeze page for gathering the leads, I suggest you use the ListEruption (its not mine product, no promotion here and no links).
If you are going to be selling or having a sales letter, look here at WF a lot of cool designers and they have reviews.
These are the easiest and closest way.
    Hope it helps

Unfortunately, there is no way for anyone (expert or not) to know how well any given page will convert without testing it.

If you start with a couple of layouts that look good, and then continually run some A/B split tests, you will inevitably wind up with a high converting landing page. I don't know of any way to bypass that kind of testing.
