Who Does the VERY BEST minisite/ecover design? Any examples of GREAT design?

@ ecoverartist - This really is not meant in an offensive way - honestly - but I am talking about high end minisite design, the sort that really catches the eye, like the examples that I showed

@ecoverartist did a great job with the design for one of my sites.

But this one is my all time favorite.

Had it done by Design Guru Ryan back in 2007, hence the old
school look.

But it's the tightest graphics I've ever had done for me.

And he's very easy to deal with - Web graphics guru develops graphics for web sites worldwide - Design Guru Ryan

He's my favorite.

Another guy that's good is Sean Lowery of Sean Lowery's MinisiteGraphics.com - Minisite Design, Direct Marketing

Best web design and minisites I have ever seen are from XtremeWebGraphix - this guy makes them look absolutely amazing, I'm sure they would cost a few $1000 though, but they are well worth the money. People like Mike Filsaimes, and Michael Jones use him.

I put my 2 cents in for Oki if you don't mind waiting and lack of communication. I would still use him if you are not in a hurry but have recommended him to friends several time but will no longer due to his inconsistent service and delays.

Still the best design I have ever used if you don't mind the wait....

James is my good friend, from Flockey.com. He is extremely good at designing web interfaces. So is Chris Rowe and Anthony Bullock.

I thought the exact same thing. In fact, I have all of those templates via a membership site and heard some things about those. So I'd be careful there. An ounce of prevention and all that

I too really like ecoverfrog and am now intrigued by DesignGuruRyan. I'll be checking out more of these.

I have to say that for my tastes Okie's sites come out the best. A lot of those other ones just look crowded or over-worked to me. Not my style. Okie's strike just the right balance between simplicity and dazzle.

Once you've picked a winner just develop a relationship with 'em. If you can provide them with enough work, a lot of designers are willing to give killer discounts.

hi Mubarak, please also consider if the graphic is SEO friendly or not, for the example of EliteFlippers 2009 is really cool design, but it's totally not SEO friendly, because there is no content at all in there, only a very big image in there.

Quick question for all of you offering your own design services in this thread - do all the designs come with the "branding" in your portfolios? I see some great work in here but I'm really turned off by the "graphics by so and so" in the footer. Or was that just done on your sites to avoid copying/stealing of the designs?

Yes and no. Some designers will put designed by www.xzy.com in the footer - It is a way of increasing business, right.

I offer an option where I do not do that, although I charge, as you would expect, $10 more...

Thanks for the response, Mubarak. I understand the need to increase business where you can, but I always found it a little amateurish. I mean let's say my site gets 100,000 hits a day and out of those, 1% go to the designer's site. That's 1000 people. Now let's say 1% of them purchase services. That's 10 people. Let's say I bought the typical package and it costs $300. Well those 10 people a day I'm sending to the designer is making them $3,000 a day if they do the same. So where is the upside for me? I'm just trying to figure out the WIIFM factor. People pay for advertising, not the other way around.

I agree. When I pay for graphics I'm not
agreeing to send the designer free business
for the privilege of paying for his services.

Do copy writers include a link in their copy?

Do I want to send people away from my
site to go buy someone else's services?

No freakin' way.

You should be paying your clients for that
tag - not the other way around. At the
very least include an affiliate link and pay
for any business generated.

Aside from that, I may or may not want my
competitors to know who does my design
work - do I really want them cloning my
look? Hell no.

At the same time, if you're really good and
good to work with I'll tell the people who
you really need to reach.

All that aside, thanks for starting this thread -
I found a handful of these designers very
interesting and I wish you success.
