Adding Free Call Buttons to a Website

I've been looking into Free Call buttons that let a website visitor click a link on a website, enter their phone number and then initiate a phone call through the public phone system. It's not Skype. Click the button and your phone rings - at the same time the phone of the vendor website rings.

One system I've looked at has a single call charge - from any location (mobile or landline) and for any duration. This could be much cheaper than a 1800 number and it could open up calls from overseas locations. The system has a control panel to set when calls can be received, so you would be rung in the night or after hours.

Other services have per minute charges, which might get expensive. I think the flat rate per call option gives the website owner better control over costs. Of course, for really short duration calls, metered calls might be cheaper.

My customers are Accommodation Providers: motels, hotels, B&B's backpackers, etc. I sell them Online Booking systems, but clearly some people just want to talk to someone before they buy.

Has anyone found good systems that are cost effective? Does anyone have experience with Bell Media (www bellmedia com).
