Suggestionsl For AVG Alternative?

My computer is getting slow. It is very expensive and used to be fast when I bought it 4 months ago.

I am currently using AVG Internet Security Premium 2014, its okay but I am wondering if there is anything better? Norton?

    Try Avira antivirus ( it's free ) and a free anti-malware like malwarebytes. Avira is really good and many times it stops harmful programs on the spot.

    I really like MalwareBytes. I have a bunch of security on my computer and 4 bad guys got through. They found them and deleted them....TRY IT FOR FREE! ( They do have an paid upgrade, I never did it.

      I had the same problem - my laptop got very slow and the fan was going off all the time. I bought Spyhunter, which is awesome. It's not free but it's not very expensive and finds trojans, malware etc that AVG doesn't detect (use AVG too).

        Don't install Norton - it actually can slow your computer down even more. Malware bytes not recommended since it is virtually useless without the paid upgrade. Personally I feel this is one area people should bite the bullet and pay for a solution. AVG and Avira a good, but for something as important as your computer performance (especially if you work or market online) it's worth spending a little money on. I use mostly Mac's but have one Windows PC I use Webroot - works great. Here is a list from PC Magazine of their top 45 tested anti-virus 2014:

          I have been very happy with iolo System Mechanic Pro.
          One license allows you to install it on every computer you own (I have six at present), and aside from anti-virus, it has numerous tools to clean up and optimize your computer.
          I also run the free version of Piriform CCleaner every day to remove clutter.

    I use avira, superantispyware and malwarebytes and I find they do a good enough job for me. They fix all the problems they find and I know that Avira works better than AVG because I used to use that and it didn't find much but when I changed, Avira found a lot more.
