Anyone buy WEBINAR JAM? ...tell us about the OTO (evergreen/ebs module)!

Would love to hear from
anyone who purchased Mike F's Webinar Jam.

1) Did you buy WebinarJam's OTO which was an "evergreen/EBS" add-on module?

2) What was the OTO price?

3) Does this add-on module allow WebinarJam to function like EBS? (Evergreen Business System)
Specifically, does it allow simulated webinars, with simulated attendees, like EBS does?

Update: EBS is not an add-on module, it's a separate product/system. Thanks to @GJServers, @Kuma and Hugh for explaining this.

In another thread about WebinarJam it was mentioned that EBS is $247 when bought together with WebinarJam. Although there is a good discount but still a steep price I think.
If anybody has more info about the OTO price I`d be curious.

    Hi

I bought WebinarJam and these are the OTOs:

    1. $247 course on running webinars
    2. Evergreen Business System - automated webinars $247
    3. Membership site - Genesis Labs on traffic & conversion tips $1 trial then $29 per month.

Evergreen Business Systems is a fantastic platform for running automated recorded webinars and is a good offer. However I can't see myself doing this anytime soon so I didn't get it. More details here: Evergreen Business System ($497)

NB: To be clear Evergreen Business Systems IS the OTO - it's not an add on to WebinarJam but works in conjunction.

During the checkout you can save $10 by sharing on Facebook.

      @GJServers, @Kuma and Hugh,

Thanks for answering, and also for explaining that EBS
is not an "add-on module" but rather it's a separate product/system.

      $247 course on running webinars
Hugh, do you know the name of that course?

After going through the sales material (pretty well done in my opinion, love Andy's style), my understanding is that the workhorse of webinarjam is the google hangouts web-app which run on google infrastructure and are "all free". In other words webinarjam is google hangouts with the "webinarjam" sticker over it.

So why are we essentially charged $300 for an otherwise free service?
Yes, we do get some templates for the registration page and thank you page, and a few other ways to broadcast notifications and sales messages to our subscribers/viewers, but is that worth $300?

My 2 c: when positioned against the "go to webinar" heavy monthly bill, webinarjam looks like a winner/bargain ... up until I find out that what I'm actually buying is google hangouts which I already get for free. Hence I would rather create the registration/thankyou pages and embed the google hangouts room in a WordPress page and save the $300.

In a WSO context, webinarjam may make sense at $10-$30 level because we don't have to create these in Wordpress ourselves, but at $300 is a bit too steep to justify in my opinion.

Bryan, while a hangout if free and rather easy to embed on any web page there's quite a bit more being offered in this product as well. The additional features list is pretty extensive.

Rus, I agree some of the features they built over hangout are nice to have, it's just that the price-point for those additional features seems quite a bit out of sync to what they actually bring to the table. I personally wouldn't pay more than $30 for the lot, but the authors are apparently running a milking strategy at the $300 level, which they can get away with because they positioned the product against expensive go-to-webinar. In other words these high prices are due to a lack of competition in this niche. I'm assuming eventually they will come down to more reasonable price-points ... "for the rest of us".

Well, the launch price of $297 lifetime use went up to $297/year. And they have also talked about it going up to $497/year. Granted that may be positioning, but I bought at the lilfetime use price.

So it would seem that your $30.00 price point may be more than a little bit low.

As for the "rest of us", there is always Google Hangouts which is free... kind of anyway.

Having never used Google Hangouts, there is certainly a learning curve there. But if you aren't planning on doing webinars, easy access to viewers including the chat box, etc., etc., etc., it is probably not worth your time.

I'm already talking to people around the globe about getting them on various webinars I have planned.

So for me, it was WELL worth the price!

Marvin, thanks for your sharing your experience. Yeah, perhaps you are right: all these cheap WSOs have given me "bad habits" (I mean I'm now expecting tons of value for little moneys).

... hmm, now you started me thinking ... what if somebody else actually "does" write some code sticking all these goodies (chat, ads broadcast, etc etc) in front of google-hangouts ... BUT position it at a much lower price-point. I mean if people are willing to pay $300-500 for this, then writing something similar BUT pushing it at under $100 might fly like hotcakes off the "virtual shelf". Crazy thought: I'm now tempted to even give it a shot (too busy with another project right now, but when a free moment will arise, why not: I'm assuming at least a week of coding for this, but probably more, depending on what goodies to include in the specs). We'll see. Bottom line, more competition is always good ... and usually pushes prices down ...

Bryan- you are absolutely right in your conclusions. I am waiting for something like this to come up. Do you have similar second thoughts about EBS (which they offered as an OTO) ?

When I looked at the sales page for the $297 lifetime price, I was disappointed that there was no video showing the product in action. Gave me the feeling there would probably be some details they don't want to share & details I would not like.

I wonder if all participants must have a gmail address.
