So Many Move To GetResponse - But Are They Really That Good

Hi,

I have been thinking about moving to getresponse because of their new features, and how they make it easier to control subscribers and lists. But I have followed the sender score for the last month, and it keeps staying low, and in my head delivery is more important than features, to some degree at least, but I don't know.

So what do you think, are the delivery actually so good as everyone says?

    Personally, when I used them most of the emails I sent to hotmail users went straight to spam.

    However, they did seem to have a better deliverability to Gmail over Aweber (just from personal observations).

    On a pay monthly basis, they are also a little bit cheaper than Aweber once you pass the 10,001 subscriber threshold.

    I think a lot of people jumped ship when Aweber had their DDoS problems a few weeks back.

    Right now I am running both of them before my list gets big enough that changing over will be a problem. I think Aweber makes it easier to do sign up forms, and they look better, but Get Response has live customer support if you get in trouble. It open up a chat box and they can walk you through the problem. That alone has saved me time. I also think Get Response has better email templates so I will likely end up with them, but don't me wrong Aweber is not a bad option either. It is more about which one is better for you than which one is better in my opinion. Oh, I almost forgot, GR allows you to import leads from another list. I do think they have to double opt-in, but Aweber does not allow that at all.

    Getresponse emails sent to Hotmail went straight to spam. This is an extremely serious failure for IMrs.

      This depends on a whole host of factors such as subject line and the body of the email. You can be an IMer and not have this happen to you. Just saying

    I've used them both as well. Definitely like GetResponse better.

    HOWEVER, I strongly recommend that you DON'T buy their leads. I purchased 2,000 leads for around $600 a year ago. I've received 600 so far. :/ Not a good investment of your money at all. It's a very slow trickle of leads. Live and learn.

    Seems like no one are worried about Getresponse having one of the lowest Senderscores, maybe the Senderscore numbers are not so precise (or don't have so much impact) if users can have good delivery anyway.

    I just checked the SenderScore for Simon and Jeremy's (Memberspeed) latest email from their GetResponse email server. They're scoring a 98. It appears GetResponse has different IP's for single and double optin and each one has varying SenderScores.

    JVZoo isn't doing so well with a score of 70. And other marketers that run single optin are in the 80's.

    I got a little too used to aweber's interface over the years and feel like I am stuck with them now unless I start using something I am not comfortable with or used to.

    The DDoS attacks sucked, but I think that could have happeed to anyone.

    I prefer aweber, simply because it is what I am used to - do your research before taking the plunge so you do not regret your choice in the future when it comes to your AR.
