Sean Donahoe's Rapid Mailer has been out for a while now, anyone played around with it?

It's a great idea and I'll probably buy it before the launch price goes up. I'm just worried about putting that much responsibilty on a plugin.

      First OTO is to Pro version with unlimited installs and 4 of his plugins, mostly useless. I think that was $47, if you decline at bottom of the page you can get it for $27 with only 2 of the useless plugins. The other OTO I think was for his mastermind.

        Hi,

        Does anyone know if it works with a Hostgator reseller a/c ?

        I messaged them and they replied "It should work on HostGator self hosted domain. You are using shared hosting that is reason it is not working."

        That confused me because a reseller a/c is shared hosting ?

          That is confusing. I've never heard of a WP plugin not working because of the hosting plan your WP site is on?!?

    Right, well here's an easy fix: use a third party service like Amazon SES - free for the first 10k mails or so (or MailJet, or SendGrid). It's literally pennies after that. Don't use your host. Or rather, as Sean suggests, talk to them, ask how much you CAN send and get them to help with the setup they can. Your host is your business partner, not just a place to store your site. And come on, useless plugins? Have you used them yet? I grabbed that particular upsell, definitely worth it to me.

    The other two are advanced training and an FBSiphon plugin for $97 and then a mastermind for $297, both of which you can get at anytime in the member's area. I may get the mastermind at some point, will definitely be getting the advanced training.

    I'll tell you something: When I bought, I bought the unlimited version (with the four other plugins), but when I logged in, I only had the multi site license. I have Sean on Skype and messaged him (it was just after 6 am for him). Within the hour it was fixed. So that's my suggestion: get in touch and he'll sort you out. He goes over setting everything up with third party services as well. No marketer is perfect and they'll always have detractors but Sean, along with Kelly Felix and Alex Becker, is one of the best.

      What's the difference between multi-site license and unlimited version? I'm considering this product, and can see three versions Single site, Three sites, or Unlimited. I'm guessing multi-site has to be the three site version?

      How is the script functioning now? Is it stable? I opened a pre-sales support ticket to enquire and they said they are now on Version 1.5.4 and have removed the requirement for Ioncube loaders, which apparently were causing lots of issues.

  • If you use an external SMTP, like Mandrill, that costs a few dollars each month, IMSC Rapid Mailer is a great newsletter software that saved me from the longest Getresponse offline time period.

    Now that I've tried it, it's much more useful than Getresponse, because of many reasons. For example, you can find and delete the people that bounce your messages back, to keep your list clean. Then you have clear clicks rates on every link you put on the email, and lot of useful things like templates, possibility to add social icons, your website on footer, and much much more.

    I tried it for sending a couple of newsletters to 648 people, and it worked like a charm. I think I will close my account on Getresponse, that now seems totally gone after the last DDoS.

      Grazie, sei bravo. I only wish to support your decision to take control over your data.

      Most of problems with such new software are going to be solved by developers, the more people take control over their data and run their email follow-up marketing from their own servers, the more we are back to old good Internet, independent of the monopolized SAAS services. I am actually scared now what this guy from GetResponse is going to do, he has already read my postings and attacked me for saying this, and now I am telling this again.

        Over the years I purchased a few of the products put out by Sean Donahoe, and they have never worked as promoted. In fact a couple of products were real dogs.

        And of course I had hells own job getting refunds.

        I should have learn't from my first experience with his products.

        yes long ago I bought some products were great good support last 304 just not poor but total junk... I thought I try one more time but again broke and not working support is still just a broke sorry but avoid

          I have installed and so far I have had no issues. My test emails have all worked OK (I'm with hostgator). So far I'm pleasantly suprised !

        I got so fed up with the non-functioning product and the non-functioning support that I bought ArpReach.

        It works well with all of the SMTP delivery agents ..I set it up using SendGrid and Mailjet without issue. Works right out of the box and has all the bells & whistles.

        It does cost more than $37 but, hey, you get what you pay for.

            I think if you use it just for sending emails then it's fine. I tested and sent 500 earlier with no issues.

            I connected with Mandril on Friday but they shut me down after 2 hours - maybe had SPAM complaints. So Rapid Mailer is a good alternative in that situation ?

    Rapid Mailer works for me, I find that most don't take the time to watch the training, nor are they especially helpful in terms of specifics as to what they're seeing (like the post above). First thing: always do a video of what you were doing when you had the issue. Make an admin account for support as well, so they can replicate it on YOUR host to figure out the problem you're having. Again, most don't do this. Every time I've had an issue, this is what I've done. And every time, it gets solved. And they update things with the fix.

    I'm with BigScoots (BigScoots - Fully Managed VPS & Dedicated Server | Virtual Machine). The theme doesn't seem to matter, but currently using Socrates. Have used the sign up forms with no problem. One thing I did notice however was that there seems to be incompatibility with Wordpress SEO. The minute I activated it, all my content went visibly bye-bye. It was still there when you went into the editor but straight viewing it, it looked like there was nothing. Once I removed Wordpress SEO all was well again. It didn't matter if I had activated RM or not.

    how odd, I've got the exact opposite experience. While there was a redirect issue, they worked with me via skype and all's well. Got to talk to the lead programmer and everything. Didn't have an issue besides the redirect which is now fixed.

    I am so frustrated, the offside code for non wordpress not working on leadpages and not on funnelkit.

    i have sent several emails to support and bug not fixed yet. has anyone here encounter this problem ?

    basically the problem is with the thank you page i setup , when signup the user redirected to some blank page.

    Try this: Get Jing, which is a free screen capture program. Then, simply take a video of what you're doing, and shoot it up to screencast.com. When you create the ticket, give them the link to the video. You'll also want to set up a new wordpress user and password for them, as they'll ask for it to go in and check things out. Also make sure you have the most recent version which is: 1.4.3. Most folks won't do the above and then complain when they don't get support. But if you do this, they'll be better able to help you as they may see something you miss. Do NOT send emails, open a support ticket, and use the steps above. When I did that, Sean got me in touch with his lead programmer, and all was well.

    It's a bit more effort, but worth it. Don't forget, they may also ask questions regarding your host/hosting plan. Good luck!

    Multi site allows for 10 sites, unlimited is unlimited including client sites. It DID have a rocky start but support was excellent (I also invested some time in video taping what I was doing and showing them. Most folks just like to bitch and not work to fix it. It works, and is one of the best things I've got in the toolbox.

      Thanks for the feedback. That's really useful. I like the sound of being able to use on client sites, so "Unlimited" is probably the best choice for me.

      That's a great idea of recording an issue on video! I've been using screenshots on some tickets, (step1.jpg - step2.jpg etc.,) but it's very time consuming. Video is a much better idea. Do you upload yours to YouTube and make it private? Or do you use something else to share the video?

      What do you find works well for sharing the Jing videos with your support people? I see they can be uploaded to Screencast. Is that what you do?

    I have had Rapid Mailer for over 5 months now & had a few issues to start with but Customer support sorted out the issues they upgraded the version which I now think it's great, it works well with all of the SMTP delivery agents ..I set it up using Amazon AWS without any issues.

  • (Using V1.6.4) The product does NOT perform even basic optin and redirect functionality.
    Custom fields are not transposed.
    Redirects do not work.
    Field validation fails.
    Support team cannot articulate a logical diagnosis, they simply request full access to your site/s with complete indemnity.

    The product and its delivery are a failure. The resolution totally unprofessional.

      The latest version of Rapid Mailer is 1.7.8
      I have been using Rapid Mailer for over 9 months. It takes a bit to get everything working, with so many options, but there are plenty of training videos and support videos to help.
      Once I understood what the extra plugins done, I have had no problems in using them. I have read many unsubstantial negative reports, but no specific problems.
      Rapid mailer has so many options, yes it takes a bit to set it all up, especially when adding in Amazon S3, but if I can do this, anyone can.
      As for support, I have always got an instant response. But more important the answers are in the 57 support videos.
      Rapid Mailer is a brilliant plugin, which I use on all my sites, one having a 10,000+ list and I am running that on a Hostgator shared server with no problems. Rapid Mailer is being supported, as stated by Sean today and yes I have access to Sean at any time and he is a brilliant help and a decant Man as well, so to hear so many people slander him in this thread, with out even stating the problem they are having is rather disappointing.
