RankWyz, ArticleWyz - Worse Experience Ever - Honest Review
I've used RankWyz about 1 year ago, back then it was quite buggy, which is a way too broad comment for a review but keep on reading and I'll explain it.
1 year fast forward I gave it another chance, figured the baby bugs might have been addressed by now.
Unfortunately not:
- When setting up a campaign, whether it's with the quick manager or a normal campaign, it freezes in a complete random fashion, which results in having to re-setup the campaign in the exact same way and with a little luck it does start to post now. Sometimes I have to re-start campaigns as much as 5 times.
- When clicking "Start Posting" it often results in a 403 or 503 error maintenance page, luckily this is an easy solution for that by clicking the Back button in your browser and refreshing the page. Often you'll see that the campaign started.
- Posting to self hosted WP sites, this should not be an issue one would think, all my sites use the same very limited amount of plugins, all my sites run Wordpress 3.9 (the latest version), nonetheless I only achieve a 45% success rate when posting, which is unacceptable.
Support:
I contacted support about this and they told me that when posting to web2.0's that it's quite normal to achieve a low success rate due to several factors. HOWEVER: I am posting to self hosted Wordpress sites and not to web2.0's at all. In other words they don't even read what I wrote in the support ticket.
Forum support:
They continously blame external factors for low success rates, they mention plugins that I don't use. They talk about XML-RPC which has been enabled automatically in Wordpress for over a year, so it's not something you can enable or disable as that happens automatic. Still they point that out as a reason.
When people complain about the service they throw in success stories of people who got blogs with high authority stats, which is completely irrelevant to the problem of the user but just to avoid addressing issue's.
They claim to continuosly improve the software with new features while leaving all the bugs from over a year ago untouched.
Conclusion:
I signed up for the $19/month version to not waste more money then needed, just to give it a trial run in the hope it would perform better then before but it seems it only got worse. Very dissappointed in the platform and the support.
The tool only seems useful when you don't care about the failure rate cause you use it for mass spam projects, totally unusable when trying to use it as a reliable way to submit posts to your own network.
