Offline Marketing Help

Hello Fellow Warriors,

A few months ago, after being layed off from my job I started an offline consulting business.

I've had success selling websites to my offline prospects. Problem is when I try to sell my online marketing services I keep running into a road block that I hope someone can help me with....They want to know who I've worked with in the past and what results I've been able to achieve for past clients.

Because I'm new, I obviously don't have an online marketing portfolio and even though I try to build my credibility through my experience in their industry, my website portfolio, and the team I've assembled to do the marketing, I still get push back. Push back when I'm trying set up an appointment with a new prospect or trying to close the deal because they don't want to work with a startup. It's a catch 22.

So how can I show credibility without having tangible results and get people to give me a shot?

    Hi Leads4Builders,

This thread may of been better in the General Discussion as more would be able to see it and help!

As far as showing examples, why not get some examples up of what you can do. When I first started I put up a few sites and examples of what I could do so when biz owners did ask, I could show them.

What I always say when somebody asks me for examples is:

"What type of examples are you looking for? Because every business is different! By showing you what I have done for another business isn't really going to show you what I can do for your business, as you are a lot different!"

Something like this anyway. You could also run through online campaigns you got running at the moment if you have a few setup!

    HTH

    Hi GoGetta,
I saw your firesales on the special offer page but i can't reply there as I don have enough post.
May I know what are the differences between Rent-a-site, offline stealth tactic and local seo magic?
I thought they all similar talk about step by step local seo?
I'm interested since it's on firesales now
    Please PM me, thanks.

Do some FREE marketing for one of your clients if you think you can get big results. I did that for a buddy of mine who is a lawyer late last summer. He is still on the top page of google for 3 of the keywords. And I didn't do much for it. Offline marketing is not hard because most businesses have NO CLUE. So it shouldn't be that hard to get on the top page of google with city name and business topic. Just do a free one and then you can show people SEE it works.
